with the sun comes the heat and we're looking forward to something hot with the release of My Dangerous Life on Steam on the 23rd of July! What does a different game have to do with your duties in Florensia, you ask? Well, let us explain. Some of the Tower bosses are secretly fans of this game’s genre and wish for it to become a great hit. For that they are even willing to jump into a PvP Zone and even offer the loot of different bosses outside the tower. Once we receive a certain number of wishlist entries until its release we will be holding a celebratory event for a couple of days after the release. Dear Florensians,
Have you ever heard a sudden rustling of leaves behind you, only to find that there's nothing there, or discovered that some of your snacks inexplicably disappeared? Well, that probably means that you're being followed by a little forest spirit! But don't fret - they won't do you any harm. In fact, they're there to protect you. What did we hear you say just now? A true adventurer doesn't need protection? Right you are! Because you yourself can of course slip into the disguise of a forest spirit with our Fox Spirit Dresses! We spotted an old man in a dusty cape in one of the Florensian taverns just now. You might say it's a bit early to visit the local tavern, but he seemed to think he would meet some passing travelers there and could pass along some wisdom. He claims that he was once an adventurer himself and knows all the tricks. Granted, he did put everything into song, but as an adventurer you should be grateful for every helpful hints you get, right? Now this is what he was saying:
Listen adventurer, and listen good, when elders give you advice, then listen you should. If the monsters are loud then you'll be louder, After all, they don't have that Mithril Powder.
Look for those special Upgrade Stones, to conquer even highest thrones, and carry a pouch of Golden Sand, to grant success to all the land.
If that shouldn't work go for Diamond Dust, that's the one thing you can always trust. You don't know what you'll have to face? Then take your chance with a Slate Piece of Space.
Whenever you're fighting mayhem and chaos, and most afraid of item loss, go get yourself that Slate Piece of Time, I'm telling you you'll be just fine.
We're pretty sure he was hinting at something here. Head to the item shop to find out.
With this patch, we fixed some smaller bugs that were added while implementing the Essence System. We also changed and tweaked some values of certain Essences.
Changes
Most importantly, we increased the dropchance for Elite Monsters, Realm of Ruins Monster as well as all kinds of bosses.
Bazooka and Green Bazooka Essence had an attribute called „stun“ which when equiped, should have increased the damage of stuns, however, it caused the player that had the essence equipped on some specific weapons to be unable to move. Even though it is funny that it literally stuns you, it obviously did not work as intended and we decided to add some new attributes to the essences:
Selected language will now work again as intended.
The Korean pet skill that was added to some players quickslot has been removed (It is still there as an icon, but it does not work anymore).
Goldbug Essence now gives the correct values.
NPC names are correct again on Realm map
The shop on Realm map is working again
The quest index is showing again +100 quests
Humbert random crashing issue and invisible debuff skills has been fixed (please restart the client if you still have an issue, so the client can receive the latest patch and for steam please close the game and steam and restart steam for receiving the patch)
Known Bugs
Italian and Portugese language can crash the party leader while moving into tower. This issue is already in bugfixing process.

Essence Update - Maintenance
Dear Florensians,
After more than 2 years of development, we are excited to present you the biggest update Florensia has ever had: The Essence System. Todays 24.06.2020 maintenance will introduce the Essence System to the live servers for everyone to enjoy. The servers will be taken offline at 6:00am Central Europe Time (CET). We have no ETA on when the patch will be done but we expect a long maintenance, so please bare with us!
What is the Essence System?
The Essence System marks a fundamental change to the equipment system in Florensia. Previously, we had the Fusion System which would allow you to upgrade your gear with bonus stats that would last for 24 hours. While this sounded great in theory, it never worked the way it was intended to and we felt that Florensia was not benefitting from such a system. Therefore, we started working on a new concept that would allow the players to customize their playstyle like never before and at the same time provide late game content - which Florensia was lacking.
Now, after more than 2 years of development we are finally ready to release the Essence System and we hope that you are going to love it as much as we do!
What new content does the Essence System provide and how does it work?
Along with the Essence System, there are over 260 new Essence items and 280 recipes for you to craft! Each piece of equipment, from your armor to your weapons can now be extended to have up to 4 Item Slots. There are two different types of item slots: Normal slots and Core Slots, latter of which are marked by having a golden border. The only difference between normal slots and the Core Slots are that the Core Slots can hold Purple Essences, which represent the highest tier of Essences as well as some other rare ones that cannot be equipped in normal slots.
To get started with Essences, simply go to any of the lords on the respective islands and click the new "Item Slot" button. In there, you will find everything that you need to extend your gear (create the slots) to unlocking them and even removing Essences from slots, should you wish to do so. Once you have the slots unlocked, head over to your skill window, switch to the Action tab and in the category Basic Actions you will find a new action called Essence Management. Once clicked, it will open a window in which you can equip your items that have unlocked slots with Essences.
