Physics performance was improved, major stutter was fixed when a new level is being loaded. 3D model culling was fixed, models should not disappear anymore when they are visible. Missing UI localizations were added. Health bars above friendly/enemy units were added. Various bugs in experimental Arcade Mode were fixed. Obsolete game assets were removed.

Today’s Update
We want to inform that today’s update will be postponed due to summer vacation. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Nevertheless we are back and currently working on finally finishing arcade mode, multiplayer mode, improving playability of singleplayer campaign and quality of lighting.
Added Arcade Mode, Bug fix, Optimization
Arcade Mode was added. It is currently in an experimental stage, bugs may occur. New UI screens needed for Arcade Mode were added. Some UI animations were improved. Game event triggering was improved. Various minor bugs were fixed.

New UI screens needed for multiplayer mode were added. Sending network data packets was improved. Data packets are now compressed, which enables more stable multiplayer gameplay. Game event response times were improved. Various minor bugs were fixed.

Multiplayer Mode has been added. Currently it contains „Gladiator Deathmatch”. More multiplayer gamemodes will be added soon. Some bugs regarding UI were fixed. Stability was improved.

You may also notice that „Multiplayer” tab in the main menu has finally been opened. This mode is not yet finished. You may create lobby but option for starting a match will be added soon. This is not a bug, we want to test lobby management first, before final release of multiplayer mode. We are currently working on progression system.
Bug fix and SteamWorks update
Bug with missing collisions between some objects was found and fixed. Stability of physics engine was improved. SteamWorks was updated to newer version, which will allow us to finally introduce multiplayer mode in upcoming days.

We also want to announce that we are changing the update schedule. Updates will be now released on Wednesday every two weeks, instead of every Friday, starting from the first of July (next Wednesday). This will allow us to react faster for the problems in updated version of the game (if they would occur), moreover we will have more time to prepare updates containing bigger changes than on a weekly schedule.
Performance update
Performance was greatly improved. The game will run smoother. This is the second and more important part of performance update.

The final part of the performance update will contain improvements regarding shadow rendering. We also plan to add experimental multiplayer mode in upcoming update.
Added DirectInput support for joysticks, performance boost
Support for DirectInput joysticks was added. Now you can play Flying Circus with joysticks that do not use XInput. This feature was tested using T.Flight Stick X. Performance was improved. The game will run smoother. This is the first part of significant performance update we are working on.

Performance will be improved even more soon. We are still working on refining singleplayer mode and finishing multiplayer and arcade modes to make them public. Furthermore we are working on some cosmetic changes so the game will look even better and more filled.

Unfortunately due to unexpected circumstances we are forced to delay today’s Friday Update.
