Real quick off the bat, I wanted to let you all know, I am truly sorry about the issues with the game. I am working hard on trying to put these things in the ground, but as most of you know, these issues you are all experiencing are not happening at all for me, so finding the issue is going to take some time and testing.
NOTE: Everything up until the ending work flawlessly in my testing. Ending is a real hit or miss for some players I witnessed some working and some not working. So a important tip for you all, PLEASE SAVE GAME WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER THE WORN DOWN HOSPITAL It is know to soft lock you from proceeding, if saved prior then reloading the game might fix the issue.
Again, if you experience it let me know the results!

I have push another batch of fixes and improvements, I don't want to make another page just for these fixes and improvements so I have decided to add it to the update 2 patch notes. So go check out the additions below!
Hello Everyone!
Today I am happy to announce the biggest update to date, that brings forth some new features and improvements. These have been generally suggestion by all of you.
While there still may be problems or new ones at that, I look forward to hearing more feedback! With all that said below is what changed.
Summary of what is new
I have heard a lot of feedback based solely on the ability to see where exactly you are aiming in terms of finding hit-boxes on interactables, I totally agreed and I have implemented a cross-hair in which will change upon hovering over items that can be interacted with. This should make it a lot easier to tell where you need to point the cursor.
There are now 7 more notes scattered around the game, that will help players get some more information about the background of the story. While they are few and far between, these will help clear up some confusion.
I noticed towards the end of the game there were less and less objectives pointing where to go, and while i though these would take the fun out of exploring the area, I noticed a lot of players relied on these and so I have added a decent bit more.
Another thing to note, is that I have toned down the bloom effects for some items, For example the phone in the house LED screen is quite bright/glows I have slightly turned bloom effects down. It might not be different for the phone it was helpful for some other areas of the game
Some more feedback I heard from players was that the notes were hard to read in some areas of the game, I have only noticed two areas in which that was the case, so I changed the lighting and made it face away from the sun. The Font also changed to more clear black
When saving the game and reloading the game, the voice lines all came back and would replay themselves. From what I have tested this works fully, but I have also seen sometimes where it won't. If this happens just let me know.
There is a lot more I have done, this is just a quick view at some of them, below is the full change log.

Don't forget if you have any issues let me know right away.
I have received reports of some people not seeing the ending cutscene where it soft locks you out. I personally haven't run into this issue on my end, so the fix isn't as straight forward. From the test I have been running it works fine. This update I switched some coding around so maybe it fixed it
Fixed: Interactables now will only play the voiceline once Fixed: Grammar issues on some interactables Added: Some clues to certain tasks
If you run into any other issues, please be sure to let me know, either in the Discord or on Steam Discussions!
Really small update here to fix some major issues, there might still be small ones after this, just bear with me.
What's Fixed?
Fixed: Issue causing the cut scenes to not play correctly; was a white screen like you got flash-banged Fixed: Issue causing incorrect collisions Fixed: Issue causing house door to open slowly Fixed: Issue causing game to load slowly Fixed: Many more smaller issues
Overall, like I said quick small update sorry for the issues it has caused. If you run into anymore bugs be sure to report them to me via Discord or Steam Discussions.
Note: you might need to replay the game depending on what you missed or got glitched on
It has come to my attention that some people may experience performance issues and that greatly saddens me, however if you haven't tried changing settings please follow the steps below. I understand most people know all this, but this is just from my own testing experience and what I know seems to cause better performance.
Steps to potentially help performance
1. Make use your graphics drivers are up to date Personally I install the drivers from online, but you can also do the GUI version using Geforce Experience or AMD software. You would need to search for the drivers for that specific graphics card you have, AMD Drivers and Support | AMD or Official Drivers | NVIDIA.
2. Try to turn shadows down to Medium/High
Press “ESC” or “P” Key, navigate to “Settings” then “Graphics”
Look for Shadows
Switch them to medium or high (or whatever works for you)
Note: Should be the first thing to try, these are performance intensive, older graphics cards might benefit from this
3. Reducing the display resolution and setting display mode to windowed
Next look for Display Mode and Resolution
Switching them to windowed and lowering resolution may provide a smaller screen size but this would greatly increase the performance while having all the settings max or whatever you so desire them to be
4. If all else fails, and although not recommended, reduce Resolution Scale
Next look for Resolution Scale
Turning this setting down, isn't recommended as it will make the game blurry. If you need to use this option use between 70-90 for starters
5. Also, if you can’t run the game with just those settings above, you can try turning everything under “Texture Settings” and “Graphic Settings” categories to off or low (just tweak if needed)
Note: Game will look considerably worse but at least you can play it If these steps don’t help, then I can’t really do anything about that. I am working hard to optimizing the game better, but for the time being please bear with me, I am sorry.
I am so stoked to finally be putting this announcement out there, For What Will Come is OUT NOW! After what seems like an eternity, the release is here! The game originally planned to be released at 5 PM EST however I ran into some last minute issues which was really stressful, but it should be all sorted now!
What's to come
I look forward to hearing peoples feedback and issues that they might encounter, If there is any issues please bear with me. There will be an update a day or two from now so keep an eye out for that.
