The reason for this is that some of you have reported crashes that made the game unplayable for you, so we've added tools that will generate much more detailed crash logs. Greetings, cultists! Today marks exactly one full revolution of the Earth around our Sun since the full release of Forgive Me Father saw the light of day and bestowed its Madness blessed by the Great Old Ones upon all our mortal souls.
Such occasion is traditionally accompanied by gift-giving and so, we will drop 5 Steam keys for Forgive Me Father in the chat accompanying the streaming gameplay at random times between 11am - noon PDT (8pm - 9pm CEST) and then again between 6pm - 7pm PDT today, April 7, 2023 (the second time will be 3am - 4am CEST on Saturday already).
We were hoping to run a dedicated livestream and answer any questions you might have regarding Forgive Me Father (and yesterday's big announcement) - fate intervened however, and so we would like to ask you to post your questions in comments under this announcement, and we will answer them at a later time. It is with utmost happiness that we can finally reveal a huge surprise to you. To celebrate Lovecraftian Days, an event hosted by Fulqrum Publishing that has just started, Byte Barrel and Fulqrum Publishing have joined forces again and will be bringing you a dignified successor to Forgive Me Father. Forgive Me Father 2 sees players once again journey into a malevolent world inspired by the works of H.P Lovecraft, where madness never sleeps. The action continues the story of the Priest from the first instalment as he descends into his darkest nightmares on a path to righteous salvation.
Players will be driven to the brink of insanity as they take on hordes of deranged cultists and diverse, eldritch enemies using a vast and varied arsenal of deadly weapons - each featuring powerful variations designed to cause absolute mayhem and wreak utter destruction. A freshly re-imagined and expanded madness system ratchets up the action even further, bestowing unimaginable power to those who choose to fully embrace insanity.
Forgive Me Father 2 elevates the unique and distinctive, dark comic-like visuals of the original game with improved sprites and models. Players will behold satisfyingly juicy blood effects and bear witness to eye-popping animated gibs that fly in all directions, as unimaginable ancient evils are torn asunder. The action is underpinned by a heart-pumping soundtrack that effortlessly blends dark Lovecraftian undertones and atmospherics with face-melting guitars and chest-thumping drums.
As we've announced in the opening of Lovecraftian Days, Forgive Me Father will also be ported to consoles, so that's another thing to be hyped about!

2022 has been an insane year! Forgive Me Father left Early Access back in April and we are so incredibly happy and grateful for how positively it has been received. Developing and publishing the game was a really challenging task that brought us to the brink of madness, but we made it through, thanks to your ongoing support!
