Forsaken Universe Early Access 1.0 has been released and is now available to play in the live branch!
If you have previously had Forsaken Universe installed, please delete the game and completely reinstall it from scratch. This will allow all the new data to be installed correctly!
This update completely changes Forsaken Universe. This update contains new features that would've never been in the old game. To put it into perspective, the old game was about 3 GBs. Now, Early Access 1.0 is just above 12GBs! So, without further ado, welcome to Forsaken Universe EA 1.0.
Known Issues
Second main mission doesn't give the correct objective
12SG Shotgun doesn't play the correct animations for reloading
Some AI isn't able to hit your character
Sometimes the exit location doesn't work when players exit the ship
Game isn't fully optimized

New Mission system. Basic, but working. Includes 4 starting quests.

It may seem like this update isn't that big but in reality, it is. This update gives us the base to expand the game in any way we want. Our goal is to make this game extremely unique compared to any other game and we hope you join us in this process. What's the holdup!
Hey everyone! First off I am going to personally apologize for disappearing for the last three months. College got a little bit hard. So with that, I am very sorry! Buttttttt, that doesn't mean I haven't been working on Forsaken Universe! The new update, Early Access 1.0, is coming along very smoothly! Lots of testing has been going into the game as well as adding some new features! This post will have three main things, what is left that needs to be added to the new update, as well as our new screenshots for the store page! AKA, some teasers for what is to come, and lastly when everything will be happening!
What needs to be done?
I have put together a list of what needs to be done before the official release of Early Access 1.0.
Add 6 different weapons, 2 pistols, 2 assault rifles, 1 shotgun, and 1 sniper.
Add 5 different quests.
Add 3 more ships.
Update UI to make it look more professional.
Update main menu and main menu world.
Update most creatures and AI.
Add more locations to explore on Zoroth.
Start working on the planet Drax.
Fix some outstanding bugs.
As you can see, there isn't that much left to do for Early Access, but it still will take time!

When is this all happening...
Well, with the list that needs to be done, you may think that it'll take 2-3 months with my development to get this update out... WRONG! On Sunday, 3/12/2023, I will be releasing a pre-update patch to the main branch of Forsaken Universe. This will hold everything new in the game and be playable for you! Then, the official release of the new Early Access 1.0 will be in the next month! When? I don't know yet but be on the lookout for the next announcement!

Let's Begin
Hey there everyone! Just wanted to say thank you for your time and patience. With Christmas just happening and the new year coming about, I personally wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Now, Forsaken Universe hasn't seen an update in well, over a year and that is something I don't like. I got very busy with sports and college and had a hard time my first few semesters. My third semester came along and I finally found time to work on the game as I became acclimated to college life. With that being said, I wanted to make this announcement to inform you all about the new update!
The Update
With no update to the game in over a year, I am very excited to say that the update will be happening in Early or Mid January! There is still a lot of work to do for the game to prepare for it! I am very excited to bring this update to you as it completely changes Forsaken Universe as a game. For example, I have added 3 different ships, 3 different planets to explore, 12 different unique creatures, 5 different weapons, quests, a level system, trading, different locations on the planets to explore, more build parts, over 60 different items, and so much more. This is what Forsaken Universe should've been when it first came out so I am extremely sorry that you didn't get this.

Forsaken Universe Update 11/17/2022
Hey there you all!
With college and now basketball taking up a lot of my time, I haven't had much to work on Forsaken Universe. However, that shouldn't be a problem anymore. I have freed up a lot of my time with schooling as I have finished up 2 out of my 4 classes already. This will leave time to start working harder on the game! We have a lot of different things planned for this new release of Forsaken Universe, here is just a small list of what to be expected.
- 5 above-ground biomes. - 3 below-ground biomes. - Over 40 crafting recipes. - Over 30 character upgrades. - 10 unique weapons to defend yourself from the monsters. - 8 unique creatures with custom AI.
Sounds like just a basic survival game but after that release, there will be constant updates. We will release a dev branch of the game for everyone to play. Those dev branches can contain either weekly or every other week updates.

Forsaken Universe Update 4/28/2022
Hello everyone!
We would just like to create this small announcement. I'm a college student developing this game in my free time. However, the college classes have taken up a LOT of my time. I have been working on Forsaken Universe for about an hour every week with college classes. I get done with my semester in about two weeks and will start to work more on the game!
As of now, Forsaken Universe uses Unreal Engine 4 as of right now. I am going to be upgrading the game engine to Unreal Engine 5. This will allow me to have a lot more optimization as well as a bigger open world. The next update that Forsaken Universe has will not be told as it's unknown. We hope in at least 1-2 months but could be longer.
Hopefully, you all understand that college is taking up most of my time. But, we thank you for playing and being a part of this community!
Forsaken Universe is Coming Back!
Hello everyone!
We have this huge announcement that a lot of you may not have expected! Forsaken Universe is coming back! We have found an old save that fully works and just doesn't have that many updates. We have been updating that old save to get it back to its updated state!
The game is back up for sale! However, what you download will be the old game. We are still working on the new one and are very excited to bring it to you! There will be a future announcement once it is updated!
We are glad to be back and hope to see a lot of you in the game!

This is a quick announcement on what is happening.
Unfortunately, I have lost all data to the game while upgrading my game engine. I have no idea why this has happened as it didn't happen to anyone else before. 9-10 months of development down the drain.
I started this project to give those players a fun and unique survival game to play. I also wanted to learn a lot more about other things than just game development. This includes sound, graphical design, creatures, etc etc.
As I am the only developer of this game. I have requested to retire the game as I won't be able to spend 10 more months coding a new game with college starting up soon. I just won't have time. With this being said. Refunds will be possible.
