Don’t Miss the Incredible Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

Spring has arrived in Britain which means it’s the final week of Series 61! This is your opportunity to secure the 1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z in Forza Horizon 4, a car which celebrates the Camaro’s involvement in the International Race of Champions series, a one-make stock car series that put the focus on driver competition rather than car preparation.

Residing under this Camaro’s long, louvered hood is a 245 horsepower 5.7-liter V8, while thick anti-roll bars front and back help the Camaro achieve highly impressive skidpad numbers —around 0.90 lateral G-force.

Camaro fans can unlock the IROC-Z by earning 80% Completion for the overall series on the Festival Playlist, and experience performance that only this ultimate third generation Camaro can provide.

This week’s Festival Playlist events and rewards are available until Thursday, June 1. See you in Britain and don’t forget to join the conversation over on the official Forza Forums.

Overcome Winter Snowstorms in the Upgraded VelociRaptor

Snow has covered the landscape in historic Britain this week. Luckily for you, the 2019 Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 is available on the Festival Playlist in Seasonal Playground Games. This custom truck is the ultimate turbocharged off-roader primed to overcome the Winter snowstorms while towering over everything else on its path.

John Hennessey was asked why he wanted to take a Ford Raptor and add two wheels, another axel, eight inches of lift, 600hp, an overhauled exhaust for the Eco-Boost twin turbo V6 of the Raptor, and wrap it all up in a package called the Velociraptor. His answer? “Because you can.” Go figure. Only 100 of these custom trucks are made per year, and each one can hit 0-60mph in about 4.9 seconds, so you’re not going to want to miss this monster.

Get your VelociRaptor 6x6 and all of this week’s other rewards by Thursday, May 25. Here’s the full Festival Playlist breakdown:

Experience the VUHL 05RR, Forza Horizon 4’s Ultimate Track Toy

Series 61 is here with another opportunity for you to unlock the “Encore?” Achievement in Forza Horizon 4. This week’s featured reward car is the 2017 VUHL 05RR, the ultimate track toy to explore Britain, which left a remarkable impression when it first debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed almost 10 years ago.

The 05RR delivers extreme performance with an additional 100 horsepower over that original model while further reducing its weight. The purpose of this unique car is clear: to be a track legend while (barely) remaining street legal. Optimally engineered for raw performance and simplicity, this is a car made to match the best supercars in the world, and you can put it to the test in Forza Horizon 4 by emerging on top in the “VUHL in the City” Seasonal Championship.

Also available on the Festival Playlist until Thursday, May 11, don’t miss the 1970 Honda S800. This classic rear-wheel drive roadster is probably the most fun you can have with 70 horsepower. It also has a screaming-high redline that was a direct descendent of its motorcycle roots. If you have ever reveled in the high-revving noise of the modern day S2000, you’ve got the S800 to thank for it.

Here are the events and their associated rewards featured on this week’s Festival Playlist:

SERIES REWARDS:

  • 50% Completion – Horizon Backstage Pass
  • 80% Completion – 1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
SUMMER REWARDS:

  • 50% Completion – 1970 Honda S800

Experience a Track Legend Reborn into a Rally Prototype

This is the 1970 Ford GT70, a unique prototype car built to replicate the success of the GT40 from the racetrack, only this time on the rally stage. However, to qualify for rally competition under the FIA’s regulations, Ford needed to produce 500 homologated cars and the GT70 only had six.

As WRC rules changed, production costs climbed, and the successful Ford Escort only improved in its performance, the GT70 became an expensive “what if?” It's a question Forza Horizon 4 players can now answer as the 1970 Ford GT70 features on the Winter Festival Playlist, unlockable at 80% completion.

This week is also your chance to unlock the 1974 Hoonigan Ford Bronco, which features a special 5L Coyote Engine that kicks out 420-horsepower, plus rebuilt suspension, gear shifters, racing wheel and seats. It’s all very Hoonigan and all about being fun to drive on-road or off-road. Get yours by winning the Into the Wilds Seasonal Championship.

Find like-minded players and discuss this week’s Festival Playlist activities over on the Forza Forums. You have until Thursday, April 27 to complete these events and unlock the associated rewards:

Tune in for April's Forza Monthly Live Stream

The next Forza Horizon 5 series update is almost here, which means Forza Monthly is upon us!

Join us for a full preview of the High Performance update, including the upcoming Festival Playlist and the new cars available to unlock.

We’ll also check out your latest creations and interview a new Community Spotlight guest, Gasoline Photography.

It all begins on Friday, April 21 from 9am PT (4pm UTC) on the official Forza Twitch and YouTube channels. See you there!

Why We're Updating Our Forza Code of Conduct

We’ve revised our Forza Code of Conduct to provide more clarity and ensure consistency and fairness in our policies. Here are the changes you need to know.

Our Forza Code of Conduct – previously known as Forza Enforcement Guidelines – has been designed to preserve and promote a safe, secure, inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone in the Forza community. Over the years, we’ve heard your feedback about these policies and how they could be improved.

At Turn 10, our philosophy around enforcement in Forza is to be consistent and fair, ensuring that each player report is handled with the upmost integrity and scrutiny. That means we remain firm in permanently suspending bad actors who, for example, promote hate speech, or make credible threats of violence. However, we believe a newer player who accidentally performs a smaller violation of unsportsmanlike conduct can be given more flexibility. The end goal should result in us continuing to make the game as clean and safe as possible for everybody, while giving players the opportunity to course correct and show that they can contribute positively to our community.

Starting today, we’re making some important changes to our Forza Code of Conduct to ensure our players have the clarity they need to inform themselves of what they can and cannot do in our games. It's also important that enforcement matches the violation, allowing players suspended for less severe incidents the chance to improve their behavior as they are reintegrated into the community.

We understand that for newer players especially, you may not be fully familiar with our rules. After all, the policies that apply to a Forza game aren’t necessarily the same as every other game you’ve played. To alleviate this, first time non-extreme violations of our Forza Code of Conduct will now receive a warning. This ensures that the player is aware of their previous action, and that it’s forbidden in Forza games.

We’re also significantly changing how suspensions and bans are considered. We’re replacing the former three-strike system with new categories of violations, because after all, the enforcement action should be in accordance with the type of offense. In addition, we’ve received feedback from players that the first suspensions are oftentimes too harsh, therefore we’re reducing this from seven days to one day for lower severity violations. Of course, the length of suspensions or even permanent bans is dependent on how extreme the violation is and the number of previous offenses.

These updates to enforcement apply to Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport once released. Forza Horizon 4 and legacy Forza titles will remain on the prior enforcement system.

While the changes outlined here are specifically related to the banning system itself, there are plenty more details under the hood, so we highly recommend that you take the time to read through our new Forza Code of Conduct which has been updated on the Forza Support website. That way you’ll be fully in the know and what is and isn’t considered acceptable in Forza games, and it should answer any questions that you may have from reading this blog.

These changes have been thoughtfully considered with a focus on clarity and fairness for our players. We hope that they inspire more confidence in our future enforcement decisions, while upholding the highest standards of safety in our Forza community.
