Fossilfuel

Fossilfuel 2 is now out on Steam!

Hello everyone,

Fossilfuel 2 is out on Steam!

Be sure to check it out.

The game features more terrifying puzzles and action just like the first but also has some cool features.

Highlights:

-More nonlinear map design and multiple endings.

-A horde mode where you can try to survive 50 waves of dinos.

-A garrys mod type sandbox mode that can be unlocked.

Best,

DangerousBob

Update - Multiplayer says goodbye!

Multiplayer has been removed from Fossilfuel with this update.

It seems that not many people are actively engaging in the multiplayer aspect of the game, almost all new players are playing the single-player. It doesn't make much sense to promote the game as a multiplayer experience at this point as the servers are empty.

Additionally, I'd like to remind you that the Fossilfuel 2 store page is now live. Be sure to follow updates for the exciting continuation of the epic Fossilfuel storyline!

Fossilefuel 2 Steam Game Store Up!

It is time.

Fossilfuel 2 is officially in development!

Fossilfuel 2 will focus on building out the best aspects of the first game. Players revisit the Sierra Research Facility, which has been flooded with seawater, as the base sinks into the ocean.

As such the game will focus more on aquatic dinosaurs, such as Dunkleosteus, which I feel don't get much attention in games. Old favorites will still return such as the Utahraptor. Water plays a much bigger part in the game, players must drain flooded hallways, dodge giant Angler fish, and more.

Fossilfuel 2 is being built on Unreal Engine 5, and as such will be the best-looking DangerousBob game to date!

The game will be much larger than the original, with a target runtime of 12 hours, and be even more horror focused, with more exploration and replay value!

Be sure to check it out!

Achievements not unlocking fix:
If your Achievements are not working, this was an old bug that I have been working on and now have a fix, the way to fix it is to go to your AppData/Local/Fossilfuel/Saved/SaveGames folder and delete the .sav files.

Patch 1.13

-Placeable Turrets are now much more deadly.
-There was a bug where you could shoot in the shop menu, that is fixed.
-Added the player stats back to the inventory menu (money and XP)
-You cant use the health items now if you have full health. This should help with the accidental use of health items.

Patch 1.12

1.12

-Fixed achievement bug with Lizard Man and Queen Bug.
-Fixed Controller bug with bumpers in the menu.
-Some other bugs with the cheat menu after the game was complete.
-Some minor gameplay tweaks, fixed where players were glitching and jumping down with the Trex in the hanger fight.

So what the heck just happen? Read on

Ok so here it goes. I ran an update a few days ago and accidentally uploaded the demo overtop of the main game which messed up a lot of code, specifically level travel. I quickly fixed all this and it should be fine now. These small updates are me just fixing some stuff from that fallout. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a big update here in gig size because I had to reupload some old maps to fix this. Honestly if you want to keep your game file size down, re-install (your saves will be fine). Basically, how Steam works is you can add files and copy over files but you can't remove files. So it just kind of keeps stacking. If you do notice something odd please post and I'll fix it. Hopefully, we won't have to go back to 1.10. Sorry about that, I am sure a lot of you were confused. All this to fix some simple key mapping issues on the xbox controller - ugh.
