New Language Support

New brush and spell

  • New brush style to give you more options, this one focusing on defense
  • New spell with 2 modes, both defensive

    • First: a handheld shield that give you the ability to block and bash you enemies
    • Second: expand your shield into a large immovable phalanx shield that protects you from enemies coming from a certain direction



New enemy death visual decals

  • New visual way to see your achievements after finishing a level

    • Enemies will now leave a visual mark when they are defeated at their location of death, in conjunction with their color at the time of death

  • Ability to purchase existing runes using collected crystals
  • Adjusted some numbers and stats on existing runes
  • Ability to unlock newly mentioned brush and spell

Upcoming patch content sneak peak!

Most of this new patch will bring a slew of new content to the world of Fractal. Details will be in the patch notes along with the actual update. Again it will be soon, so please be patient with us.

But for those of you who follow us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/PhospheneDesign) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/fractalVR/), you will have already seen some sneak peaks of our upcoming levels as well as some narrative hints at what can you expect and what’s to come. Some are story hints and maybe even hints at future levels and the history in the world of Fractal and why the world is in disarray.





Yes there will be new brush tips for you to find and equip, there will be of course, new environments that will have amazing vistas and some clues to what happened to this world. There will be new (frightening) enemies for you to find and conquer. And finally yes, there will be support for both Traditional and Simplified Chinese languages.

NEW FEATURES



New enemy type

  • Ranged enemy that is able to attack even when you are surrounded
  • Increased verticality as enemy will attack from above you as well


New level for both Normal and Survival mode

  • New environment
  • New narrative hints and environmental storytelling


New loot drop system

  • 1 loot box per level completed
  • Potential drops will include either currency or 1 rune
  • Runes will be added to your rune page


    • Duplicate runes will be exchanged for currency

  • Currency will be used for buying various in game items (used in a future patch)


New rune system

  • Runes for both brush and sphere added

    • Split into power runes and support runes

      • Power runes will affect either brush or sphere
      • Power runes will fundamentally change the way you play
      • Only one power rune can be equipped for each hand at once
      • Support runes will have various effects and could affect either or both brush and / or sphere
      • Support runes will have different tiers with varying degrees of effectiveness
      • Only 2 support runes can be equipped at once




New level select system

  • Ability to select and replay levels from Normal mode after you beat each level

Fractal upcoming updates and patches

Hey guys,

First of all thanks to all of you who gave our game a chance and we really appreciate your patience in awaiting the next update!

Speaking of our next update, we are hard at work on many additions including new enemies and enemy types that will really put a new spin on the gameplay and challenge those already familiar with the game. New levels and environments are also coming, with additions to previous levels. One of the most exciting features: the rune/loot system, will be implemented soon as well, and we are trying our best to fit it into the next update!

We plan to have several big updates that will introduce new gameplay options and much much more quality gameplay content each month until release (4-6 months away).

One important thing is that we wish for all of you who find bugs or glitches that slipped through our testing, to report them here so we can work on fixing them ASAP. Thank you!
