Some of you may have noticed I've removed the live stream event. Urgh, it's disappointing and frustrating as I was really looking forward to it. I live in the middle of nowhere, I mean there are roads and the odd path and lots of fields, but my internet connection is absolutely terrible. The test run resulted in 99% of it skipping, so it's just not feasible. I might try and record me streaming the demo some other date, if you'd like to see that, but unfortunately for the festival, it's not working. I'm sorry. I do hope you'll join me on Sunday for this Q&A session though. I might share some sneak peek new artwork!

Framing Dawes Demo - Steam Games Festival
Framing Dawes is a 2D dark point and click adventure game and a modern-day fairy-tale about a teenager (Dawes) and her dead pet rabbit (Dink) who are on a fantasy packed journey to recover Dawes’ missing memories and to investigate the disappearance of a missing, presumed deceased boy for whom she believes she is being framed for murder. The game begins with Dawes waking up with no knowledge of the past 24 hours and she must talk to inanimate objects and characters, solve puzzles, cast spells, time travel and collect and combine inventory to help piece together the events leading to her memory loss. But this is not your average whodunnit mystery and dark forces will try to hamper your progress at every stage.
Framing Dawes is a story rich adventure with twists and turns in its own beautifully hand-drawn universe. There’s a large cast of interesting characters who have their own personalities and background stories to discover. There are spells to be cast, time travel using herbs, and you get to play as Dink the rabbit at various stages during the game. The ultimate goal is to identify who is Framing Dawes but for the demo, the goal is to escape to the future. There’ll also be an OST to enjoy too.
The narrative and plot twists are sometimes unexpected in places, but as you progress through the game and the story unfolds you’ll learn more about Dawes and Dink, and you will hopefully empathise with Dawes’ situational fear. Framing Dawes has quite an emotional slant to it and there’s a focus on Dawes’ relationships with members of her family, but it also incorporates some dark humour and lighthearted moments.
So if you like story-rich games with a beautiful world to explore, the ability to cast spells and time travel with your very own bunny companion, you’ll likely enjoy Framing Dawes.

Framing Dawes Demo - release date 20 March 2020

As some of you are aware, the demo has been available to play on itch.io for a couple of months but not on Steam.It's been a challenge that's for sure, but I'm thrilled to announce that the demo will be released here on Steam, this Friday, for free!
I'd love to hear your feedback, what you liked /didn't like, suggestions, questions.... anything at all that falls into the constructive criticism category. I want to know what you think so I can ultimately make the full game a more engaging and enjoyable experience.
