Humor is a pretty subjective thing. It also has trouble crossing cultural boundaries. Making an RPG that is supposed to play out like a sitcom, with little references and subversions to classic tropes from old computer and tabletop games seems to narrow the niche down even further.

The design of Frayed Knights was rooted in traditional, "old-school" CRPGs, of course. But a lot of the design decisions came from an effort to tap into old-school tabletop gaming - the kind of experience that players enjoyed back in the early 80s, when players gathered around a table with strange-shaped dice and hand-painted miniatures playing this strange new style of game...
There are a few things about Frayed Knights that are different from some other computer role-playing games.
