We are excited to announce upcoming native modding support for Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare which has been hugely demanded by the community. We are doing our best to make modding as friendly as possible so that even people without any experience can mod the game and share their creations with others.

Expansion of the dev team and new progress

Hi everyone,


We are glad to announce that we have expanded our dev team.

Based on the experience we have gained from this year of intensive development, we have learned what is essential for this game and what our studio needs the most to bring this game to its maximum potential. Therefore we feel that it is the time to bring in more people to go much further in development and unlock features which couldn't be done by just 3 people. So far, we have in total 4 programmers and 1 artist working on various modules of the game. And we have been working great with each other.


Recently, we are working on many things at the same time.


-Features such as joining combat of other fighting armies. You can select which side you want to help, and it will affect the relationship with certain factions.



-Improving sound effects: Spatial sound effects. (Distant gunshot and explosion sounds duller)

-Adding guns and scopes and improving old ones. We have added some new weapons such as SVD, TT33 pistol, striker shotgun, AUG...We have also added several scopes such as the PSO scope for the SVD and AS VAL.





-Player's and NPC's outfits will be shown on the world map.



-You can talk to the bartender to get local price information.




We are still aiming to release a playable update at the end of February, and so far everything goes smooth.

Mission system and the update ETA

Hello everyone,


Today we want to introduce our improved quest system and also discuss with you about what kind of quests you would like to see in this game.

In the previous quest system, you can only take missions from the mission board in cities. But now you can take missions from multiple sources: in the bar from the bounty agent(city), from companions and from villages. There are generic missions and pre-set missions.


Generic missions are similar to what we had before, but with new varieties, for example, "destroy bandit bases" or "find and capture lost animals and return them to the village."




Pre-set missions are designed and will only trigger once. For example, an army of Uman terrorists invaded this land, and you need to destroy them on people's behalf. Completing this kind of missions will usually give you more unique rewards, such as reputation or achievements.


Missions will add more dynamic and fun to the world of Freeman. And we are still looking to add more variations. Do you have any thoughts? Let us know in the comments!




Also, we want to clarify the ETA of the next game update. Since we have added much more content than we originally planned, this update has taken much more time than expected. But we are doing our best to release a playable version at the end of February.

New event system



Hi everyone,

Today we want to introduce our new event system. To make the world map more dynamic and engaging, we have added more than 40 different events.


There are three categories of event.

1. City Events.

2. Diplomacy Events.

3. World Map Events.



City Events


Once you have your city, many events could happen based on the status of your city. For example, if the happiness level of the citizen is very low, it is highly possible for criminal events such as robbery and riot to happen and could cause significant damage to the economy. Certain buildings can prevent harmful events from happening, for example building a fire station can reduce the chance of the City On Fire event and police station can reduce the rate of criminal incidents. Positive events such as Civilian Joining The Army or Civilian Help You Build The City(So the construction time will be significantly reduced) can happen if the citizens are happy.








Diplomacy Events


The event system mainly drives the diplomacy system of the game. If your relationship with a faction is below the threshold, the faction may declare war on you. On the other hand, if the relationship with this faction is excellent, they may provide you with many support such as artillery support, attack helicopter support. They may also ask you for something in return, for example asking for funding of their next military campaign.




World Map Events


Randomly generated world map events such as generated bandit camps, black markets, mercenary camps, destroyed convoys, and many others, will make the exploration much more fun. Moreover, some of these events can bring great benefit. For example, a successful attack on the bandit camp can not only bring you unique loot but also dramatically increases your reputation.

So what can you do in cities?

Today we want to share with you some information about the improved city management system which we are working on recently.

As we mentioned in the previous announcement, we have added many types of locations on the world map such as villages which are fun to explore, but cities are still the most important and frequently visited location in the game.

In a city, you can:

1. Visit the bar: Meet companions, take quests, sleep, sell prisoners...

2. Visit the barrack: Hire troops

3. Visit the market: Buy weapon, armor, trade items.




Once you have your own city, you can do much more...

1. Build many types of city buildings to increase the economy, population, security, and happiness of the civilian.

2. Build defensive structures such as MG nest. (They will be automatically placed on strategic locations during the siege)

3. Put garrison troops.

4. Collect tax.




The city's tax generation depends on the population and economy level. Certain types of buildings such as a factory can increase the economy level. But you also need to pay attention to basic civil infrastructures such as a park and a hospital to keep your people satisfied because If your city has very low happiness level, civilians may riot, burn buildings and even form a rebel army to take over your city.

Some buildings have special functions, for example, a fire station can reduce damage in case of a fire event; a police station can reduce damage during a riot; a marksman's training school will unlock Freedom Sniper Squad for you to hire in the barrack.

Cities will give you great economical boosts to maintain a bigger army and conquer the world. But only if you can manage it and defend it. πŸ˜‰

Some details of the upcoming update

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since our last announcement and we are finally ready to share with you some details of our upcoming update.
We were taking a lot of time thinking and finalizing the game features as we are planning for the next update to be feature complete, fix bugs, polish game balance and add more content.


Today we want to share with you our extended world map.

We have added many new types of locations which you can visit on the world map. They are not conquerable but will bring many interactions.


  • Village: Hire cheap militia squads, take village specific missions, steal, and more.


  • Black Market: Purchase high-end items.


  • Mercenary Camp: Recruit high-level mercs.


  • Bandit Outpost: Destroy it and get awesome loot.


  • Mine: Loot if you defeat the guards.



We also remade the world map to adapt these new features and made combat map based on world terrain possible.
