Frisbros

Patch 1.2.4

Howdy Frisbros,

This patch focuses on improving the cursor controls for Frisbros so cursor users are on equal footing with gamepad users. In this patch I have fixed the issue of the aiming reticle dragging when the camera movement affects mouse position on the screen. This patch also fixes a pesky issue for Mac users where the mouse would not remain confined to the game and would slide onto other monitors or deregister when it touched the edges of the screen.

Hopefully this events the playing field between the controller types and helps Mouse using Frisbros hit those leaderboards.

That's all for now,

Cheers!

Patch 1.2.3 Updated SinglePlayer Character Swap Controls

Howdy Frisbros,

Continuing with my recent maintenance patches, I've been focusing on improving the single player experience by changing up the controls for swapping between Frisbros.

The issue with the old control scheme was that you had to really think about which Frisbro was recognized as player 1 or player 2 when switching. With this new patch, I have one button devoted to alternating between character one and 2 which automatically swaps between them. This has also opened up a new button dedicated to controlling both.

Hopefully this smooths out the single player experience and makes it easier to maneuver in the more complicated levels.

Cheers!

Patch 1.2.2 - VSync

Howdy Frisbros,

Continuing with my recent maintenance patches, I've included the option to enable VSync in game, thanks to a user's recommendation.

You can now toggle VSync in the options menu, and it should reduce the framerate of your game to help with screen tearing, or just by lowering the amount of resources your computer dedicates to running the application.

If you've experienced your computer heating up, try enabling this option.

Cheers!

Patch Notes: 1.2.1

Howdy Frisbros,

This patch just fixes a couple of small UI issues that were occasionally causing confusion on how to enter the game.

  • Fixed: leaderboard cards not clearing data and refreshing. More cards were being instantiated endlessly but masked in the UI
  • Fixed: Reset swipe state of card when leaving the menu so that start button appears by default
  • Fixed: Fixed a bug where user was permitted to swipe to the time menu while out of the screen, which is why it looked like we go to that state by "default". User now can't move the slider until they are on that menu

Patch Notes: 1.2

Howdy Frisbros,

It's been a long time coming but Frisbros finally supports widescreen and 16:10 resolutions. My playtests had shown that it was supported but lately there had been enough "one off" reports about widescreen not working that I decided to dive back into the code and see what's going on.

Turns out it was a scaling issue that has now been resolved. I'm happy to announce that Frisbros now works with 21:9 and 16:10 screens.

Happy Frisbeeing!

Patch 1.1

Howdy Frisbros,

This is the first patch since the game has gone live! This is just a set of small fixes on little bugs and quality of life improvements to the UI. Nothing major but hopefully this improves playability for some of the tougher levels:

  • Fixed an issue where the controller defocused when going to the in game options menu, preventing adjusting volume.
  • Fixed an issue where the direction arrow in Aztecs P1 would disappear when players stepped off the timed door buttons.
  • Fixed an issue with the drops/strokes/time penalty cards that appear on the UI when player takes damage wouldn't fade if the game got paused.
  • Fixed the rope object on the Wind Runner so that it does not press on the wind buttons
  • Fixed issue where minecart would not allow new player to enter if the player that left was still in its radius
  • Fixed one weird wall tile in minecart level :)
  • Fixed the final level minecart challenge where the door only required two of the three targets to open
  • Prevented the mouse from appearing if selecting emotes with controller
  • Fixed an scene cleanup exception if leaderboard data was still being fetched while the player switched to a new level
  • Updated the how to play screen to explain assigning emotes
  • Fix an issue with the minecarts where pressing left/right on vertical tracks or up/down on horizontal tracks would affect minecart movement
  • Fixed Minecart movement to not move automatically at full speed. Minecarts now stop moving when you release the movement button
