We have small update to share with you following a range of fixes and improvements we've made to the game.
Fixed an issue when attempting to change the weapon for certain specialist classes would trigger the steam overlay to occur and redirect the user to the additional content store page.
Fixed an issue in the shooting range where targets do not pop-up and instead move under the floor thus preventing players from getting the gun certificate.
Improved damage colliders for gas in lab
Improved visual for gas in lab.

Showcasing your skills yields rewards! Mission difficulty settings

Unlock 28 unique characters and 30 additional skins
Strive for glory and earn medals for completing specific tasks, for example using weapons and items in a certain way in combat. Each medal results in points that count towards completing challenges. Each time you complete a challenge, you unlock new playable characters or skins!
Ranking System
Are you a showoff? For those who want to flaunt their achievements in From Space: Resistance, we’ve added the possibility to upgrade your player profile through 26 unique ranks, showing off your impressive skill and perseverance to other players in your session.
From Space: Resistance features a total of 10 unique maps, 6 free and 4 unlockable through DLC packs. These packs also include additional content such as a playable character as well as a unique item and perk.

NEW GAME MODE COMING OCTOBER 12TH
We’re pleased to announce the Resistance: Fight the Invasion update is coming to From Space on October 12th. This free update will feature a new ‘Horde Mode’ that will see you and up to three friends face waves of relentless variations of aliens. But that’s not all, we need you to complete special objectives while also holding off the horde. It’s the only way you’ll be able to level up and defeat the alien forces as they also get stronger.
6 NEW LOCATIONS
In the new update we’re going to bring you 6 free locations where you and friends can test your skills against increasingly difficult waves of enemies. Transport to the Octagon, Rocket Silo, Vault, Trenches, Hatchery and Portal Lab to do your part and turn pink trouble into pink rubble.
NEW HIDEOUT AREA
In between your missions of fast-paced combat you’ll recover in your hideout. Think of this as your base of operations. Here, you can unlock new weapons, items, and perks that fit your playstyle. Whether you enjoy barricading yourself in, tactically forcing choke points or you’re an all-guns-blazing kind of player, you can take advantage of endless combinations, allowing for plenty of replayability.
LEVEL UP WITH REWARDS
Hold on to your shotguns, we have more, recruit! In the hub you can also level up your character between missions, choose the difficulty settings of the horde (the harder they are, the more valuable the rewards!) and you can also unlock up to 28 characters with 30 unique skins!
In addition, we’re adding a ranking system to horde mode, where you’ll be able to upgrade your player profile and flex those achievements.
Alongside the new Resistance update, we’ll also be featuring 2 DLCs, featuring 4 new maps, new weapons, characters and items. We can’t wait for you to experience the chaos and unlimited fun that is Horde Mode!
From Space will also be receiving improvements such as enemy behavior, animations, visual effects, balancing and much more.

Two new recruits are joining our ranks: the Grenadier is a Defensive class and the Scientist is a Support class, each with their new perks, items, and Specialist weapon!
Grenadier
Alain Moulin used to be a prison guard in a maximum security facility. He once put down an uprising single handedly. Alain knows how to deal with large crowds, whether it’s prisoners or aliens makes no difference to him.
Scientist Divinus
With his inventions, he's trying to become the first Homo-Divinus. A human with godlike powers. Time is ticking for this old man as he is trying to find a way to harness the power from the energy crystals to attain immortality.
The Grenadier and Scientist are free for all players and available now, have fun!

Navigate to the game's installation folder (this will be under Home>.steam>steamapps>common>From Space if the game is installed on the internal drive)
Copy the Steam Deck video
Navigate to Home>.steam>root>config, create a uioverrides folder and enter it
Create a movies folder, enter it and paste the video here
Make sure the file is named deck_startup.webm
Return to the Steam Deck Gaming mode, and you'll be able to find the video in the Settings>Customization menu
