Any Weapon, Any Mode


Ever played classic mode with a crossbow? No? Well now you can!
Weapons are no longer restricted to their original modes. Play around with all the weapons in any game mode to unsheath new possibilities of utilising your ol’ weapons!



New Gear


Get ready to slice and dice in style! Our latest weapon update for Fruit Ninja in VR is here, bringing a dazzling array of cosmetic weapons to elevate your fruit-slicing experience to a whole new level.

Does the sky look a little different today? That’s right, the skybox just got an upgrade! Enjoy the new view of the Fruit Ninja world.

Challenge Mode Leaderboard Update


We've reworked the end game flow to show off the top 50 ninjas for each challenge mode level. You'll see some cool animations when you reach the top 50, so get slicing!

  • Fixed a critical issue where fruit could sometimes fall under the map and could cause games to last indefinitely

  • Fixed an issue that caused Z-fighting on the Ninja Scroll while in the Dojo

Extended Customization Options


We’ve expanded your customization options with brand new eye and skin customizations. Additionally, you can now see your chosen outfit and skin colour in single player!


Offscreen Fruit Indicators


Ported from Fruit Ninja 1 per popular request, this feature will point towards any fruit or bombs that are offscreen! These indicators can be changed to show all offscreen fruit or turned off completely from the settings menu.

Social Features


We’ve expanded the social features in the social hub! You can now invite your friends to your lobby, start private lobbies and view your friends multiplayer status with Deep Presence.


Chinese & Korean Language Support


Chinese and Korean language support has been fully integrated and is accessible from the Language settings menu.


Tutorial Improvements


A few sections of the tutorial have been reworked to improve clarity and reduce the chance of players losing direction.

Bug Fixes


Multiple bugs for multiplayer and singleplayer have been fixed.

2023 Update Roadmap

Now that Fruit Ninja VR 2 has been fully released, the team will be putting their all into consistent support for the game. We’re going to continue creating awesome content updates for all ninjas to enjoy.

The team has put together a roadmap for the rest of 2023 to give you all a sneak peak on what to expect! Some things on the roadmap may be shifted around depending on player reception and our own internal processes.



As you can see, we have a lot of exciting things planned for 2023. We'll will be putting a lot of focus on player freedom this year to allow ninjas to stab, slice and play however they like!

Cross-Play



  • Cross-Play between all platforms has been implemented, play with ninjas from all over!

General



  • Added loading screen tips and tricks
  • Added context popups to communicate when the player is disconnected from multiplayer.
  • Sensei & Gutsu cutouts have been added to the Social Hub. Jump in and take some whacky pictures with other ninjas!
  • Training Poles have been added to the Social Hub.
  • Fruit Cannons in the Social Hub have been repositioned to allow for side by side blade & archery practice.

Performance



  • The game will now compile it's shaders during the load screen the first time the game is launched, leading to a smoother experience with less framerate hitches.
  • Improved performance in the Bamboo Path, Gutsu’s Lagoon, Archery Path & Social Hub.
  • Improved performance of the Ninja Scroll & menus throughout the game.
  • Improved performance when the player places weapons in their backpack.
  • Getting blitz in Arcade no longer causes a dip in framerate.

  • [General] The player can now shoot arrows to activate buttons in Classic, Arcade, Zen & Blade Challenge modes.
  • [General] Fixed the fruit cannons that would appear to shoot with no fruit coming out in Arcade & Zen modes.

Fruit Ninja VR 2 is leaving Early Access soon!

With the upcoming 1.9.2 update and timed with our release on the Quest Store, we will be officially leaving Steam Early Access. Update 1.9.2 brings a massive list of performance improvements, bug fixes & support for Crossplay!

Steam Price Increase 06/04/2023



On 6th April 2023, we will be increasing the base price of Fruit Ninja VR 2 from $20 to $25 USD. This is an adjustment to bring the price in line with the Quest Store & reflect the game being out of Early Access.

We're thrilled to announce that Fruit Ninja VR 2 is coming to the Quest Store on April 6th! We've been hard at work over the past few months to ensure that the game runs smoothly on Quest 2 and are confident that our efforts will make for an even better experience on all supported platforms, ensuring that you'll have the best possible experience with every slice.

Leaving Steam Early Access is a big milestone for us, but it's just the beginning! We have plenty of plans for new content and exciting Fruit Ninja action, including a new mode and weapon type that will be released after our launch on the Quest store and departure from Early Access.
