Introducing Cairn
Hi everyone!
It is finally time for us to let you in on what we've been cooking: our next game Cairn, a mountain ascent adventure with an intuitive climbing simulation.
We have created a new climbing simulation that gives you complete freedom to explore the mountain, read the rock face and decide on your route. Climbing is challenging, with difficult sections to navigate, and you will need to use your equipment and pitons wisely. Cairn’s story mode will take you on Aava’s journey, as she sets to conquer a summit no one has reached before, and you will decide what she’s ready to sacrifice to achieve the ascent.
We'll share more with you soon, but in the meantime wishlist Cairn and stay tuned by:
After years of secrecy, it feels really good for the whole team to finally be sharing this with you, and we can’t wait to hear your feedback - and show you more!
Until then, The Game Bakers
Furi Fan art contest winners!
Hi Furists,
Thank you so much for taking part in this community week and sending your submissions for our fanart contest. Our theme this week was : Furi in different gaming eras.
We received many incredible pieces, and it was really hard to choose only four to award. There was some truly impressive pixel art, incredible color mastery and even some mixed media art!
We brought in the whole studio to help decide on the winners, and it ended up being a very tight race among our three winners and our coup de coeur. Without further ado, here are our winners!
And last but not least, our Coup de Coeur: Furi on the Vectrex by Esidisi-86
Come hang out with the amazing community on our Discord and check the other submissions too: https://discord.gg/thegamebakers

Furi Fan art Contest
Hi Furists,
For this community week, we’re hosting a new fan art contest! Since Furi Demake - The Chain just launched, we wanted the theme to be tied to that. Furi Demake is an 8-bit reimagination of Furi’s first boss, so this contest’s theme is: Furi in different gaming eras.
We can't wait to see your take on that! Check the instructions below to submit your fanart.
Here are the prizes for the winners:
1st: Furi artbook + original soundtrack on vinyl + t-shirt + poster Guardians
2nd: artbook + original soundtrack on CD
3nd: original soundtrack on CD + poster Guardians
“Coup de coeur”: original soundtrack on CD + poster Guardians
The fan art can be made with any medium, but must be created specifically for the contest and submitted by its creator. To participate, please send your fan art, your nickname, your social media profile and the name of your art to fanart@thegamebakers.com. We’ll need your entry before December 15.
Feel free to also share your work on social media with #furifanartcontest or in our [community hub](https://steamcommunity.com/app/423230?snr=2_9_100003_)! Be sure to email us too though, entries on social media only won’t count for the contest.

Dev Stream happening now!
We’re live now to play Furi Demake - The Chain and Furi too with Emeric, Lara and Sylph from the dev team are joining to play it on different difficulty levels. Come say hi, share your score, and help us beat our PB!
We have a gift for you today: we’re launching a new game, inspired by Furi, and it’s entirely free! It’s an 8-bit-inspired version of The Chain’s boss fight, with frantic controls, fast-paced combat and mix of melee and ranged combat. In good old 8-bit pixel art and music from the 90s!
To make this game come true, we’re partnered with Sylph, a solo dev specializing in 8-bit games. It’s been a passion project for the past few months, and we wanted to make this Demake completely free to thank you for your amazing support since the launch of Furi.
Ready to dive into some intense and fast Furi-inspired gameplay with retro controls and style?
And to celebrate, we’ll be hosting a week-long community celebration, from now until December 6th. Thank you so much for participating in Furi community week and to the Furi fan art contest on the theme “Peace: what if Rider became friend with one (or several) guardians?”.
We received many submissions and we were very impressed with your work! It's inspiring for us to see how you bring the characters from Furi back to life, in this peaceful alternative future that many of us have thought about. Thumbs up to some of you who sent fabric dolls or text submissions, a lovely variation from drawings and paintings. And a big thank you to all of you who made us smile or touched us with the subjects of your artworks!
Our judges consisted of:
Emeric Thoa (Creative Director)
Audrey Leprince (Executive Producer)
Anthony Beyer (Lead Artist)
