The Flatspace Music Pack has been released! This is the first DLC for the first Flatspace game. Three music packs were designed for the Flatspace and Flatspace II games, and this pack is the original Music Pack 1.
The music of the Flatspace Packs overlaps the music from the Flatspace IIk packs; but not exclusively. Each game has new and unique tracks or alternative edits. When Flatspace IIk was released on Steam, the three Music Packs were revised, but the packs for the first game were forgotten. Now they are back for you to enjoy.
This pack includes:
The Heart of Aorkhan: Main Theme
Catacombs
Insanity
Mariner
Oceanic
Sea Monsters
Space
The 7th Bell
Ultramarine
Happy flying,

Flatspace Updated to v1.12
Greetings Starpilots!
The original Flatspace game has been updated today.
A small but useful update, the in-game music is now loaded only when needed upon entering a sector, which massively reduces memory load. This opens the door for future music packs, or resurrecting the original 3 Flatspace Music Packs, which have never been available on Steam. This now matches the behaviour of Flatspace IIk v1.06 onwards.
There's also a fix to the music volume setting, which didn't update the title music correctly.
SFXEngine was updated today, and a new sale is now on for all of the DLC. This includes the Bolt-on DLC of specific new plugins: Sample, Analogue, Amplitude, Pitch, Pan, Filter, Delay, Reverb, Distortion, and Special, plus the "Analogue VCF" 24dB/Oct filter. All DLC now includes an example pack of ten sounds, presets which showcase different plug-ins.
Thunderstorms rise again! Gunstorm II is released today, the explosive sequel to Gunstorm.
Like the first Gunstorm game, Gunstorm II is a rotary, arena space-shooter that uses mouse (or joy controller, or keys!) to rotate your ship.
Your sister, the beautiful princess Semele has been kidnapped by Kernag the Smeeb on the eve of her wedding to prince Caligulus. You have sworn to rescue her in your Gunstorm, the last fighter craft of the old league. Chase her though scrolling worlds, through the Caves of Marrowmor, through The Massive Mechanical Brain of Bonto Balmooni, and more!
You can choose a fixed or random level layout, and customise the game difficulty for infinite replay value as you face an armada of enemies which react to the player in unique ways. Use 8 different weapons which are collected and accessed Doom-style, and earn Gunstar Points to unlock sub-games.
Gunstorm II includes the 2007 Gunstorm song, with vocals by Tor James Faulkner. The Gunstorm EP, published by Cornutopia Music, includes several 1980s-style electronic pop tunes and is part of the Gunstorm DLC.
The controls have been revamped to make mouse, keyboard, and game controller all active at the same time. Custom control options have been removed, and all controls are active at the same time, making it easy to play without the need to set things up. Here are the new controls:
Rotate Right: Horizontal Mouse, Keyboard Right Arrow, Keyboard D, Controller Left Analog Right
Rotate Left: Horizontal Mouse, Keyboard Left Arrow, Keyboard A, Controller Left Analog Left
Follow The Cursor Mode: Mouse, Keyboard WASD, Keyboard Arrow Keys, Controller Left Analog
Thrust: Right Mouse, Keyboard L Shift, Keyboard R Shift, Controller Left Trigger
Fire: Left Mouse, Keyboard R Ctrl, Keyboard L Ctrl, Controller Right Trigger, Controller A. Note that on an X-Box 360 style controller, it is not possible to detect a press of both trigger controls at the same time, so to fire and thrust at the same time, use A to fire.
Spider Bomb: Middle Mouse, Keyboard Return, Controller X, Controller Left Analog Click
Pause: Keyboard P, Controller 'Start'
Skip Story: Left Mouse, Keyboard Esc, Keyboard Spacebar, Keyboard R Ctrl, Keyboard L Ctrl, Controller Right Trigger, Controller A
Back/Abort: Keyboard Esc, Controller 'Back'
With the first Gunstorm update currently in the pipeline, we first present the full 6-track Gunstorm EP!
Featuring the full and extended versions of the main theme, the other songs in 80s electro-pop style make for the perfect accompaniment to Xodar blasting.
With amazing (single take!) vocals by the wonderful Tor James Faulkner.

Flatspace Updated
Greetings Starpilots!
Flatspace has had an upgrade and overhaul to match the capabilities of Flatspace IIk, and other new games like Gunstorm.
This is primarily an engine update, so there are no gameplay changes, but a lot has changed in the background, such as:
-New fonts, new lens flares, new starfield, and much better screen aspect support and improved graphics set-up.
-New separation of expert user options in Options.txt and game settings. Graveyard and settings are now stored in the Steam Cloud.
-Controls now support a full keyboard and (for future games!) 4 or more game controllers.
You'll notice a few things:
1. New fonts. The heading is less blurry and smaller on 16:9 screens, and the main font is better spaced.
2. New settings for expert users in Options.txt. There are two new options there: robustinit and fixaspect, plus fixes and upgrades to basic settings like screen resolution and timers.
3. Persistent settings and the graveyard are now backed up the Steam Cloud.
4. Better aspect-ratio support. The old 4:3 game is now transformed and looks largely the same at the 16:9 game. For other screens, the aspect can be fixed to stretch it if needed so that Flatspace should be playable on any shape or size of screen.
5. New starfield, new mouse pointer, new lens flares.
Future Pool and Future Snooker have been updated, just in time for the Steam Remote Play Together Sale which is active now.
In both games you'll discover:
-A new hi-res font and pointer.
-Better zoom handling, the screen now fixes height on different screens creating a much bigger display.
-A new control to centre the camera on the bat (Return or D-pad down on your controller).
-An extra rules page which lists mouse and camera keyboard controls.
-Steam Cloud support to keep settings between sessions.
-And lots more behind the scenes...
For expert users, the Options.txt file includes a few settings for custom display set-ups, such as setting a specific screen resolution. A new flag 'robustinit' can fix display freeze issues when using the desktop resolution on some systems; and 'fixaspect' which will stretch the screen rather than zoom, if you wanted to do that.
Future Pool, Future Snooker and Radioactive are all part of the Steam Remote Play Together Sale, and have 33% off for the next 7 days.
