The Flatspace Music Pack 2 has been released! This is the second DLC for the first Flatspace game. This pack is the original Music Pack 2, developed for the first game and first sold in 2008. This re-release includes a new edit of Starflight, but the rest of the music is the same (apart from a slight quality improvement; these tracks were remastered from 24-bit, unlike the 2008 release).
The music of the Flatspace Packs overlaps the music from the Flatspace IIk packs, but not exclusively, each game has new and unique tracks or alternative edits.
The Music Pack 2 includes:
China Syndrome Edit
Music For Supermarkets
Binary Race
Flatspace Tango
Deflexion Highscore
Yinyang
Starflight Edit
Lost Child
Journey Through Fractional Space
Highscore Happiness

Taskforce Anniversary Sale
Hello All,
This month marks the 30th (yes, that at long) anniversary since the CU Amiga release of my old game Taskforce. To mark this anniversary, the PC version of Taskforce is now on sale, with a 65% discount until June 25th.
I've put more time into Taskforce than any other game by some margin, and although it wasn't the hit I'd hoped it would be I keep toying with the idea of a Taskforce 2.
Happy playing,
Mark
Coming Next: Argus
Hello All,
Our next Steam release will be a unique animation tool, Argus.
Argus is animation software which uses 3D hardware and game technology to create animations in lightning-fast time.
The aim of Argus was to create a system where 3D objects (Actors) can be started and moved as easily as triggering notes in a music sequencer. Actors can be programmed move in exact ways using modulators attached to any axis of movement (or angle, or scale, or alpha transparency). If you need precise control, you can place objects in exact places on exact frames, and you can even use the mouse to move objects in real-time, recording exact movements.
Argus will be free to use with limitations only to the quantity of tracks and frames. DLC can be purchased to expand tracks and frames to maximum.

Flatspace Music Pack 1 Released
Hello Starpilots!
The Flatspace Music Pack has been released! This is the first DLC for the first Flatspace game. Three music packs were designed for the Flatspace and Flatspace II games, and this pack is the original Music Pack 1.
The music of the Flatspace Packs overlaps the music from the Flatspace IIk packs; but not exclusively. Each game has new and unique tracks or alternative edits. When Flatspace IIk was released on Steam, the three Music Packs were revised, but the packs for the first game were forgotten. Now they are back for you to enjoy.
This pack includes:
The Heart of Aorkhan: Main Theme
Catacombs
Insanity
Mariner
Oceanic
Sea Monsters
Space
The 7th Bell
Ultramarine

Flatspace Updated to v1.12
Greetings Starpilots!
The original Flatspace game has been updated today.
A small but useful update, the in-game music is now loaded only when needed upon entering a sector, which massively reduces memory load. This opens the door for future music packs, or resurrecting the original 3 Flatspace Music Packs, which have never been available on Steam. This now matches the behaviour of Flatspace IIk v1.06 onwards.
There's also a fix to the music volume setting, which didn't update the title music correctly.
SFXEngine was updated today, and a new sale is now on for all of the DLC. This includes the Bolt-on DLC of specific new plugins: Sample, Analogue, Amplitude, Pitch, Pan, Filter, Delay, Reverb, Distortion, and Special, plus the "Analogue VCF" 24dB/Oct filter. All DLC now includes an example pack of ten sounds, presets which showcase different plug-ins.
Thunderstorms rise again! Gunstorm II is released today, the explosive sequel to Gunstorm.
Like the first Gunstorm game, Gunstorm II is a rotary, arena space-shooter that uses mouse (or joy controller, or keys!) to rotate your ship.
Your sister, the beautiful princess Semele has been kidnapped by Kernag the Smeeb on the eve of her wedding to prince Caligulus. You have sworn to rescue her in your Gunstorm, the last fighter craft of the old league. Chase her though scrolling worlds, through the Caves of Marrowmor, through The Massive Mechanical Brain of Bonto Balmooni, and more!
You can choose a fixed or random level layout, and customise the game difficulty for infinite replay value as you face an armada of enemies which react to the player in unique ways. Use 8 different weapons which are collected and accessed Doom-style, and earn Gunstar Points to unlock sub-games.
Gunstorm II includes the 2007 Gunstorm song, with vocals by Tor James Faulkner. The Gunstorm EP, published by Cornutopia Music, includes several 1980s-style electronic pop tunes and is part of the Gunstorm DLC.
