I want to thank people who've helped us by providing valuable feedback.
We're doing our best to improve your gaming experience and we hope the next minor patch proves that - please keep that feedback coming! :)
For the reader's convenience we'll list the most important fixes and features first:
Minor Patch - Release Notes:
Fix: Make reloading more flexible
Issue: Reloading would require players to first hold down the grip button and only then move their hands behind their hands (if the player moved their hand behind their head and then pressed grip it would not work.
We see how this could pose challenges in the heat of battle.
Fix: As long as both conditions are met - hand behind head and grip button pressed - reload will occur, the order in which they are performed is now irrelevant.
Fix: Accidental triggering of ultimate ability
Issue: Players would hold down both grip buttons simultaneously to reload but would inadvertently activate ultimate ability which is also triggered by holding down both grip buttons for 1 second.
Fix This issue has been addressed in several ways:
a. The new reload fix should help shorten the time players hold down the grip button as it no longer needs to be held down prior to moving the controller behind the head.
b. Hero's hands now gain an emissive glow that gets stronger as the player gets closer to triggering the ultimate ability, providing the player with a visual indication.
c. Ultimate ability now only triggers after holding both grip buttons down for 2 seconds (up from 1 second)
Graphics and UX
- Added a dissolve effect to enemy corpses (they would previously just disappear).
- Changed the model and material of the defend's "Shield Dome" and "Shield Wall" ability, they now look much cooler while also also costing less GPU!
Other minor fixes
- Fixed issue where tutorial progress bar would not fill up completely
- Fixed physics for all rocks in game, making them much heavier.
This includes the giant rocks in Mission 2 that block the allies' escape path.
- Class Menu would show class names instead of "coming soon" text when all 3 classes were unlocked.
- Fixed navigation paths in Mission 2 that prevented some big spiders from reaching one of the strongholds.
Please let us know what you think of these changes,
Enjoy!
