Friday Update 0.9.16
Hi everyone,
Just a few words from the dev team to keep you in touch. As you may have seen, we didn’t push any huge update since a few weeks. Don’t worry, we are still working on the game but as promised on the steam page, we are really close to the final release and we want to propose you the real experience that we imagined but it requires a lot of work.
"What will be included in this final release?" That’s a good question. We want to bring you a stable and playable experience online, a massive graphic improvement (and yeah that will be massive) and the funniest gameplay possible.
"Will it be the last update?" No, it’s more symbolic: the game will be officially released like we imagined it at first (and in fact even better, thanks to all of you) and the version will be 1.x.x but it won’t be the last update, we want to continue bringing you new environments, new gamemodes etc.
"Can we see some screenshots or trailers of this version?" Really soon, we are going to publish them on the Mech’at twitter here and on the facebook page here, so if you follow us, you will see them really quickly.
But enough talk, let's get to the changelog:
Patch highlight
Ever wished you could have a BFGL only game? Well, now it's possible!
That's right, you can control which bonus you want and don't want for your match.
General updates
Your ship's speed is now affecting the speed of your lasers: if your ship fires in the same direction it's moving, the lasers will be faster by a certain percentage of the ship's speed. Shots on the opposite direction are not affected by this mechanic.
Great improvements for network synchronisation on ships and lasers: it's just better.
Friday Update 0.9.15
Hi everyone! We hope you didn't miss us during this one week without news. In any case, let's see what's inside this update:
General updates
Small improvements on network synchronisation and prediction.
AI behaviour improvements in Death Match and King of the Hill.
Bug fixes
Various fixes on the BFGL.
Fixed a bug where the AIs would suddenly stop for no reason in Death Match and King of the Hill.
Goals against your own team are now taken into account correctly for Hockey mode: they count for "-1" point.
Friday Update 0.9.14
In this week's update we have some amazing new content we're sure you'll like:
Patch highlight
We've talked about this for a long time, and now it's here: the online multiplayer in beta version!
You can now play with your friends via Steam invites! For now, every lobby created is private and requires the host to invite the other players.
As stated earlier it's a beta, which means that this mode is not customizable yet (don't worry, it will come soon). You may also experience bugs, in which case, please report them to us.
General updates
The dash cooldown is now reset on death.
During the ship selection, you can now click on the top and bottom of the wheel to scroll.
Bug fixes
Fixed a bug where turret would spawn too many lasers when a target was approaching (potentially freezing the game).
Less visual artifacts for the BFGL.
For those who already forgot, there won't be any update next week, so see you all in two weeks! Happy game everyone!
Friday Update 0.9.13
Hi everyone, for today's update, we have some cool new content, check it out:
Patch highlight
This time we have a brand new map called "Quagmire"!
And as you can see, it's big. Because of its size, it gives a whole new strategic dimension to the Hockey mode, just try it out!
Bug fixes
Fixed a rare crash that could happen if an AI decided to use a bonus at the same time it was picking up another bonus.
You may have noticed that changelogs are getting shorter these days: this is because we're working on more complex features that can't be implemented in less than a week.
So, starting next Friday, we will be updating the game every other week. However, we will continue pushing hotfixes for the game if we find new bugs.
Friday Update 0.9.12
Another week goes by with another G.O.D.S. update, let's see what's inside this one:
Patch highlight
A new ship is available! Please welcome the last member of the Spy family: the Spy-3R!
As you can see it's slow and its fire power is low as well, but it has a lot of life, the fire rate is impressive and the projectiles are very fast.
Bug fixes
Fixed a bug where Holograms didn't have the same orientation as the parent ship.
