New State of Play

Howdy Starlings,

I wish to provide you with an update today. We have read your bug reports and have read your concerns.
We dont always reply but rest assured we do read, it may not seem that way sometimes but we do care a lot about your happiness in this community and in the game.

We have some exciting updates on schedule and in time we will reveal more and more.
However we have reduced our communication and transparency to you, the players. For which we are very sorry.
Hence we started doing biweekly updates so you have a day to look forward to, small bugfixes might still happen through the other days depending on their priority.

Henceforth we also want to do a state of play every month, it will also take place on the first of each month(time will follow) where we discuss what's new in the update for that day, what we have planned for the update on the 15th and any concerns you would like to voice can also be mentioned there.
This call will take place on discord but will be streamed to steam as well so that everyone can follow regardless of if you have discord or not.

The current bugs that we are aware of and will fix asap are:
-Battlelogs disappear
-Crash whilst opening free gifts
-Falcons respawn in bunkers
-Crash during attacks
-Not many targets in target finder

On a more personal note, I know I'm not always too active in chats or comments but this doesn't mean that I don't care. I genuinely lose sleep over what you guys think or feel.
I can promise you that I will always work my hardest to provide you with a great experience, keep reporting the bugs and we'll get on them. Post your suggestions at https://polls.galaxylifegame.net and I'll read them and consider them.

Embassy update - 2nd of August 2023

We're finally releasing the long awaited Embassy update! With this update we'll be releasing loads of brand new items and content. Not only that, the summer sale is starting too! It will end on the next update on the 15th. Buy the chips while you still can!

-New alliance emblems and patterns (thanks Yannice!)

-New items: Bulldozer, Advanced Spy Capsule, Laser Aim, Rock Skin, Chips Cube, Battle Support Cube, cubes for every troop and battle support recipe
-New currency: Badges earned from wars
-More info in the ingame info popup (click the "I" in the top left)
-Advanced Spy Capsule
-Has 2x radius (4x area) of normal spy capsule
-Shows amount of resources in resource buildings
-Shows troops inside bunkers
-Bulldozer: clears all obstacles on the current planet
-New powerups
-Laser Aim: All your turrets have +40% range for 6 hours
-Rock Skin: All your turrets receive 30% less damage for 6 hours
-Changed Lightning Bullet icon and color to accommodate
-New burn effect for Flamethrower, Fire Golem
-Target is set on fire when hit
-Additional burn hits when already burning increases the burn temperature (DPS) and remaining burn time

Bi-Weekly Update - Sunday 16th of July 2023

We noticed updates have gotten all over the place, with it more often being posted about in Discord than Steam. As part of our transparency this is not an acceptable direction and hence we are returning the regular updates in a Bi-Weekly fashion.

You may expect an update every other week and ofcourse more if we have more to give you!

Let's have a look at the changes :D

-Fixed input text fields not working in fullscreen
-Fixed scrollwheel not zooming
-Using coins/minerals from inventory now allows any amount
-Changed alliance unlock requirement from level 15 to Star Base level 4
-Added level 10 requirement to premium shop and buying crafting with chips
-Removed "none" particles option; it just caused too many problems
-Some anticheat updates
-Base for improvements to login, bypassing Steam on subsequent logins to make login a lot faster

Cube,Unit rebalance and bug fixes



Welcome back chiefs, today we have pushed a new update fixing alot of issues and rebalanced alot of underpowered units. Here's the changelog:

-Balance update
-Fix crash on spying from battlelog

-Fix brief 0 storage bug causing failed Star Base & Silo upgrades/crashloops
-Fix for a "none particles" option issue
-You can no longer be immediately rematched against your previous war opponent

We would also like to let everyone know that the war between "Hispanostarlings" and "The revolution" has been forcefully ended, this is becuase the alliance was effectively trying to match up against each other to farm war points. So this is a reminder for everyone that intentionally farming against each other is not allowed we will forcefully stop any war where we notice this happens and punish those doing it.

Bug/Crash fixes

Hello chiefs!

Some small changes were pushed today that should fix alot of issues that have been occurring in the Galaxy lately! This includes the issue where players would randomly be sent back to the tutorial phase on a colony or friend's planet.



We also fixed random crashes that would happen during and or after a battle causing the entire battle to end up not being saved at all.

Note: Every user was given 40 chips as compensation for the recent bugs.

Development update

Hello chiefs!

As you might have noticed it has been awhile since we last published a big update, this is because we had to put full focus on the anti cheat for a long time giving us almost no time to work on updates. However, starting from now we'll be putting our focus back on content updates and will try to deliver a lot more in the coming months. We will be keeping everyone up to date on development here and in our discord on,

Progress update on backend storage rewrite

The first tests show good results, the new system is very fast and appears to remain very consistent. This however is only upon storing data, since this new system is a big change it took a bit to rewrite our access methods to it.
Tomorrow is the day in which we will start testing using it entirely in place of what we currently use on staging. If these initial tests go well we will expand on the amount of testers we have to ensure the stability remains the same even with a lot of players active(this is the issue we had in the first week of launch)

If all goes well we will slowly migrate all the data and push the change into production allowing all of you to enjoy it!

Tiny patch

- Fixed people being sent back to the tutorial phase on colonies
