Our game is now on Steam Deck!

We are very happy to share with you the news that Steam administration has granted our game the status of compatibility with the Steam Deck handheld console.



How did this happen? We didn't officially submit such a request, Steam brought our game to our attention on its own. One morning, I woke up one fine morning and started checking my email, where there was an email saying that Steam had checked our game on Steam Deck. This lifted my spirits for the day!



How does the game run on Steam Deck?


It runs quite well and stable. Despite not having game controller support yet, it's a pleasure to play on Steam Deck. Why? We've added our own official layout for the Steam Deck controller by assigning various game functionality to the keys.

Small text
Steam has given us the status that we have small text. However, unless you have vision problems, you will see everything written in the game just fine. Steam wants us to increase the text by 20-30%, and this is quite a difficult task for us. It's very difficult to fit all the text in a game like ours if it's going to be huge.

Displaying indicators not related to Steam Deck
This is not any particular problem. In-game tooltips sometimes display the names of keyboard shortcuts. Steam wants us not to display this on their device. We will fix this issue in the near future.



Controls in the game


As I told you above, we made a special layout for Steam Deck. You can see the assignment of various buttons in the game setup, to do this you need to click on the icon of the game controller. The set of buttons is as follows:


  • Right stick - cursor control.
  • Left stick or D-Pad - move the camera on the station.
  • A - click or action.
  • B - cancel action, close window.
  • X - enable/disable the station construction mode.
  • Y - go to the laboratory with technology tree.
  • L1 - 1x speed of the game.
  • R1 - 2x speed of the game.
  • L3 (left stick click) - freeze/unfreeze the game on the station.
  • L2 - zoom out the station's camera.
  • R2 - zoom in on the station camera.
  • L4 - rest area.
  • Menu (Start) - show main menu.
  • View (left button in the same shape as Menu) - call the scanner during document check.
  • Up - refuse the visitor (send the elevator upstairs) during document check. The button must be pressed until the elevator leaves.
  • Down - approve the visitor (send the elevator down) during document check. You need to press the button until the elevator leaves.


Support for XBox controller and others?


We plan to add official support for many popular game controllers in the near future. We are in the process of developing this feature.

Small Update 1.2.2: Fixes and Improvements

Hi everyone, thanks to your feedback we have made a number of fixes and improvements.

Fixes and Improvements



  • Visitors will now sit in the item position they actually went to. For example, sofas.
  • The visitor and drone list box will now save the last selected categories and subcategories.
  • Paginator will now not display all pages if they visually don't fit.
  • Worker drones will no longer pretend to work carrying empty resource loads.
  • Worker drones hovering in infinite resource loading or unloading will no longer appear.

New Major Update 1.2: Orbitails!

Hi all, we present you a new content update for Galaxy Pass Station. Who do you like better, cats or dogs? The new Orbitails update gives you access to robotic puppies and many other cool things.

Meet the Robo-Puppies!


These are not an alien species, but regular dogs that just like cats can now travel the galaxy wagging their tails. To unlock this race, you need to look in the technology tree. But that's not all. There, in the technology tree, you'll also find the ability to unlock pet charter flights! More barking and meowing at the station!





Control elevators with bans and permissions


We've added the ability to place various prohibition signs and placards in the elevators, as well as a new "No Drones Allowed" sign. This will help you create a tricky network of elevators dedicated only to certain species or even drones. Of course, if a situation arises that the signs make it impossible for a visitor to leave the station, they will ignore all these rules of yours, after all they are just signs!



Paint your drones different colors!


You will be able to choose a color scheme for each of your drones. Now, for example, a worker drone can be yellow or silver, or maybe orange? At first glance this is just a decoration, but think more broadly. You'll be able to come up with assignments for the different colors so that you can better understand what's going on at the drone station.



Advanced Clerk's Desk!


A new desk for the clerk, will allow him to handle two customers at once! The desk is available in the technology tree after the technology related to clerks. Also, increased revenue from bureaucrats and clerks.



Change the TV news anchor!


We've added an event that can change the TV anchor of the morning news. How about a robotic kitten that anchors the news? That's now a possibility. Sometimes you will even be offered to choose which one you want. We've also added one interesting event that can lead to the breaking of diplomatic ties of an alien race.



Game Interface Improvements


We've made a number of improvements that our players have been asking for:

  • Changed the way highlighted objects and visitors are highlighted, now it's a yellow stroke. This is very convenient when you change the color of the object.
  • In the list of visitors and drones added filter by species and race.
  • Added a button to go to the flight board directly from the station interface.
  • Added icons for the elevator control panel to better understand which button is associated with rejection and which with approval.
  • Added information about how much was earned and spent for the day to the money tooltip.



Bug and game balance fixes



  • Many items now bring 10-30% more income.
  • Fixed drones that would sometimes freeze up and not know what to do next.
  • Visitors will no longer talk in front of an item inside a room. Now they only do it in the hallway.
  • Fixed other minor bugs.

Small update 1.1.4: What's new?

Improvements / Balance



  • Added indicators to visitors to better understand what checks they still need.
  • Accelerated the speed of elevators for better balance.
  • Added a widget with the latest game news to the main menu.
  • Visitors are now more likely to avoid rooms they are not allowed to use.
  • Added information in drone and visitor inspector about what their next target is after waiting.

  • Sometimes drones could wait for a long time for an item that was already unoccupied.
  • Room restriction signs related to visitors having or not having documents did not work.

Update 1.1.3: Fixes + Improvements

Improvements/Balance



  • If a hired worker gets a pay raise, he will get the "Increased Wage" feature for a few days, thanks to which his satisfaction will increase every hour.
  • Changed the click sound to a less distracting one.
  • Strongly reduced the volume of space hum. Some players were having trouble playing.
  • Phrases and thoughts above the heads of visitors now do not disappear if you pause the game.
  • The sounds of robot and Earthling voices have been softened.

Fixes



  • Fixed a bug: in the technology tree, if you open the technology window and press Escape, the window would not close.
  • The end of the workday at 23:00 did not occur if the game was paused before starting the ID check. This caused additional bugs.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some objects to continue producing resources even though they lacked the DNA or Soft or Reports to do so.
  • Fixed a bug with elevators and drones. However, we are not sure if the bug with elevators reported by users has been fixed completely.
  • Parasitic beetles sometimes did not spawn near their hives, but spawned in the main compartment of the station.
  • Fixed a UI bug that made it impossible to change the settings of a selected object, such as drone action area.
  • In the dialog with rich people, the text with translation for the "give up money" option was not shown.

Major Update 1.1: Cosmobotics and 💸-20% OFF!

We are pleased to present you a major update for the game, which contains a lot of interesting things. The update is named in honor of a new alien race of intelligent robots - the Cosmobots.

Cosmobots - Who are they?


We are pleased to introduce a new alien race of intelligent robots, completely different from the robots from Earth. This is a special intelligent species that will surprise you with its behavior.





Robo-Mites


We have added a new species of parasitic creatures. This is a robotic life form that appears on the station where there are a lot of robots and noise. They can make a lot of noise, break objects, run away from the police, and more.



Wireless charging


We've added a special technology to the technology tree that allows you to build special devices that store energy and then distribute it to all the items in the room. Using these devices, you can optimize the logistics of energy and battery supply.



Neon Signs


Now neon signs of different shapes are available to you. You will be able to customize the color scheme of each sign. These objects decorate the station a lot, and some of them have their own unique features.



Color schemes for objects and rooms


Have you ever wanted to repaint your couch green or change the color of your plant? Now it's possible. You will be able to change the color of many pieces of furniture and decorations. Also, we have added 2 new room lights - white and purple. Make your space station even more unique!



Air Purification


New devices that improve the air in the rooms have been added to the game. With their help you will be able to eliminate unpleasant odors in the room. However, you have to pay for everything with energy and free space.



New items for the station


As promised, we have added new items to the technology tree:

  • Two kinds of aquariums - floor and wall mounted.
  • A wall clock that shows the in-game time.
  • A special phone booth that allows you to call back in time.
  • New windows of different shapes.





New radio calls


We have rethought and completely revamped the radio call system. If before every new call abruptly interrupted your game and demanded your attention, now this is not the case. We added a widget that notifies you about the call without interrupting your game.



Day and Night Change


We've added the ability to skip the sleep scene, but that's not all. We've added a special widget that will alert you to the imminent end of the day. At exactly 11pm, you'll be prompted to move on to the next day in different ways. In the future, perhaps we will add the statistics for the working day to this place.



Improved Game Interface


We've redesigned most of the game interface to make it easier for you to play. These are the various panels for station management. Also, in the construction menu you can now filter items by subcategory to make it easier to navigate.

Other improvements and fixes



  • Added a "Scientific Inflation" event that increases the cost of research.
  • Parasitic creatures can now also have traits such as "fast" or "slow", etc.
  • Builder drone now repairs items a little differently. This drone now adds real-time durability to an item or device by generating dust around it.
  • Some items can now be flipped horizontally.
  • Technology that opens windows is now available much sooner.
  • Each item now has a clear explanation of how many visitors it attracts per day.
  • You can now see by clicking on a room how many visitors it attracts.
  • Added information in the hints about how the attractiveness of a room affects the interest in visiting the station.
  • The cost of the masterpieces will now increase with each new theft.
  • The probability of getting a bad ending on first contact has increased.
  • The movie screen now consumes power, it now needs to be supplied with batteries.
  • Added sounds for some items and situations on the station.
  • Renamed some items, such as various paintings, etc.
  • Changed font for Asian languages to a more readable font.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause text in Japanese and Chinese languages to display incorrectly in some places.
  • Fixed behavior of worker drones that caused them to not take batteries from the Garbage Recycler.
  • Fixed a bug with game saves at the end of a workday. Reloading the game sometimes resulted in a black screen.
  • Slightly improved some texts in the game in different languages, added explanations and changed wording to more understandable.

Major Update Coming soon: Cosmobots, New Parasites and something else...

We're thrilled to announce a major content update coming to Steam on October 20th, free for all our players.



What are we up to?


We've been hard at work on the game. Myself and our artist have cooked up something exciting for this update. I'll dive into the details about a new alien race and a fresh breed of parasitic bugs. I also want to share some intel on new technologies and items for your stations. These will not only amp up the fun but will also help optimize various processes on your space stations.

Just to set things straight, this won't be our last content update. But we'll save that talk for another day.

1/5. Cosmobots


Our eagle-eyed players might have spotted hints about this race in our game. If not, take a peek in your leisure room. These are robotic life forms that originated outside of human civilization and our solar system.



They're unique not just in appearance but in function too. Cosmobots have specific roles on stations - to Analyze and Upgrade. They revel in studying unfamiliar objects and improving the specs of the station's drones. Interesting fact: They only need recharging, with minimal other requirements.



2/5. Blue Bug-Spiders


This new species of bugs might not reproduce as quickly, but they're a nuisance in a different way. They love creeping into various devices and breaking them. Unfortunately, this often leads to their demise. They're a tad smarter than your average parasitic bugs and can evade police drones. So, guard your generators and factories, or face a potential collapse of your entire station.

3/5. Air Purification and Noise Cancellation System


New technologies to freshen up the air and suppress noise await you in this update. But remember, every good thing comes at a cost, both financially and in terms of space. Air purifiers, humidifiers, noise suppressors, and much more.

4/5. New Items and Decorations.


Let's just list what's coming:

  • Aquariums - both large and wall-mounted.
  • Neon signs to jazz up your room walls.
  • Various types and shapes of windows.
  • Wall clocks displaying station time.
  • Vintage collectibles from the 21st century. What are they? That's a secret!
  • And some quirky devices for resource and energy production and distribution.

5/5. New Events


We aim to greatly diversify the events that occur each morning and during the workday. Loads of surprises are in store for you. They'll be available in all game modes - First and Second Contact.

But that's not all!


Naturally, the update will encompass numerous other tweaks and bug fixes. We read all your feedback and improve the game thanks to you. For instance, we're looking to enhance the radio-call system. Additionally, we're on a mission to polish the game translations into various languages. Lots of efforts are being poured into this.

Small Update 1.0.58: What's changed?

Improvements



  • Improved the balance of visitor flow. Now the late stages of the game do not create a situation with a large number of visitors out of nowhere.
  • Removed the notification from the assistant that there are not enough drones on the station.
  • Improved the reward balance for accepting flights via a call from the pilot. Removed high rewards for high numbers of visitors.
  • Elevator now does not wait more than 30 game minutes on one floor.
  • The elevator now works more optimally when there are a large number of people willing to ride it.

Welcome to the new game update! More intelligent drones, priorities for objects, the ability to rebuild the station more flexibly, and much more in this update.

We've done a tremendous amount of work and are excited to present you with this new update.

New
+ Ability to disable the tutorial in "First Contact".
+ Ability to set the service priority for each object on the station. Drones will take these priorities into account.

Improvements and Balance
+ Drones have become smarter and now use different tactics to optimize their tasks.
+ Drones no longer wait in line to deliver resources to objects on the station.
+ The flight arrival widget has become twice as compact.
+ Fewer rating notifications appearing on the right side of the screen.
+ Now, when turning on the scanner, documents on the desk are laid out in more convenient ways.
