Shooting fans have likely heard the name before, but have you played Toaplan's influential shooter? Perhaps some of you know it by the name Truxton (trivia: this was the reason behind that title).
Either way, this seminal title making a guest appearance in Game Tengoku can only mean one thing: hi-score contest time + celebratory sale!!

You read it right, Tatsujin will release on Steam next week!
The store page is open now, and the DLC will release around 17:00 PST.
We'll have a celebratory sale and a contest too!

The DLC features the Super Fighter from Tatsujin/Truxton, playable in Arcade Mode +, two new tracks for Time Attack (original arcade stage 1 theme and a remix) and the Sound Test and a new entry into the Data Mode HD menu so you can learn more about Tatsujin/Truxton from the over-enthusiastic Yuki Ito (voiced by Kumiko Nishihara).
In order to faithfully re-create Tatsujin's play experience, the Super Fighter plays differently from the other characters: powerups cycle between three colours, the colour coresponding to a weapon type and options are added automatically at a certain power level. More info in the manual, here!
Game Tengoku Ver1.08 update
Today's update includes:
Fix for missing sound playback This should enable those of you with Asus Xonar Essence STX II and similar cards to play with sound and fix sound related crashes too.
Fixed Story Replay unlocks in Classic Mode The 'Bonus' story should now unlock once all other Chapters have been unlocked.
Fix to enable access to Sound Test menu The menu will now be accessible, but to listen to DLC voice/music, you will need the DLC in your Steam library.
Fix for Driving World's background Some of the clouds were not displaying correctly; this should be fixed.
Fix for UI display glitches The bonus gauge and some other UI elements should now display correctly all the time.
