We're proud to announce that today, during the Day of the Devs event, we debuted a new Garden Story trailer AND revealed the official release window for the game!

Day of the Devs & the Wholesome Direct
The sunâs out and shining, and we wanted to take a moment to share some Garden Story news and progress with you!

The Summer Game Fest will be kicking off with all sorts of fun events, and Garden Story gets to be a part of it! Tune in on Thursday at 10:30 AM PST to watch the Day of the Devs, a showcase of upcoming indie games, and hear some Garden Story news!

A New Character + Song Reveal
Before we leave for the holidays, we wanted to introduce you to another citizen of the Grove, share a new song, as well as celebrate our fundraiser for No Kid Hungry!
đIntroducing Plum
Youâve heard about Concord and how theyâre stepping into the role of Guardian for their community, but do you ever wonder who will teach them what that entails?Â
Rana and Elderberry -- along with other helpers like Fuji and Maraschino -- will absolutely assist Concord, but in addition to neighbors and friends, there are other guardians! Introducing Concord's mentor: Plum.
Concord wishes they could spend more time with Plum, but for now, Plum's days are filled with learning more about the increasing Rot, and town repairs must take precedence!

As a little bonus, we also wanted to share a brand-new song from an area we havenât shown very much of so far: Winter Glade.Â
Like Autumn Town and Summer Bar, Winter Glade has also found itself disconnected and in a state of disrepair.Â
To accompany the new track from our wonderful composer, Grahm Nesbitt, we also have the first ever peek at Winter Gladeâs library and its mayor, Ledidi. We hope you enjoy it!

đ Fundraiser Success
Thanks to everyoneâs help and generosity, the fundraiser for No Kid Hungry was a roaring success: we surpassed our initial goal of $300 to raise a whopping $560.42! YAY!
Because we made it beyond our stretch goal, weâve got a special celebratory stream to kick off the new year!Â
On Wednesday, January 6th starting at 3 PM PDT, the Garden Story and Rose City Games team will be playing Among Us. Tune in on Twitch to see whoâs the most suspicious on our teamâŠ

Garden Story Fundraiser for No Kid Hungry
A core belief of the Garden Story team is that a sense of community is central to our well-being, and that positive and impactful actions we take within our communities can help them thrive. Weâre proud to announce one action weâre taking is to fundraise for No Kid Hungry throughout the month of December!
No Kid Hungry provides food to kids through free meal programs and food skills education to families. Whether itâs supporting kids through free meals during the summer or providing food education for families: we appreciate No Kid Hungryâs mission, and we think the fruits, veggies, and fungi of the Grove would too!
We also wonât be fundraising alone! We're teaming up with Streamline Media Group, and the No Kid Hungry ambassador streamers to showcase a bevvy of food-focused and family-friendly indie titles throughout the month of December! Every dollar donated is the equivalent of supporting a kid for 10 meals. We'd love it if you could join us, whether it's helping spread the word, hanging out in the stream, or through a financial contribution!
Kicking Things Off: Giving Tuesday (December 2nd)
Giving Tuesday (Dec 01st) is the first day of our fundraising festivities, and you can find all of the fun on Twitch!
The celebration will begin at 3 PM PDT when we play the adorable demo for Toasty, a charming game thatâs currently in development, and then putting our match-3 fighting skills to the test with some Battle Chef Brigade!
At 5:30 PM PDT, weâll join the wonderful ladies of GPTV on their channel as they play the Garden Story demo! Youâll definitely want to tune in: in addition to playing the demo, there will be some fun giveaways. (Stickers, anyone?)
The fun doesnât stop when Giving Tuesday is done!
For the following three Wednesdays (Dec 2,9, and 16), weâll be bringing back the weekly Rose City Games' livestreams and showcasing even more indies as we continue our fundraising efforts.
In keeping with the theme, weâll be playing indie game demos and released titles that all have to do with food and community ~ be sure to follow us on Twitch to get the notifications when weâre live, and see what games we have in store! (Psssst! There will also be giveaways of the released games that we're playing! You don't wanna miss it!)

Shiny New Textboxes and a Dungeon Sneak Peek?
October is almost done, and we've got lots of updates we've been working through to make YOUR first visit to the Grove a good one! Time to give you a glimpse at a few of these updates.

Text Box Touch-ups
Picogram has been sprucing up text boxes to look a little more interesting⊠more like stationary/sticky notes! We love how they add even more personality to the the already very colorful characters of Spring Hamlet (and beyond).

Snowâs Shop is Open for Business!
In the demo, many of you got to meet Kabocha, the shop-keeper in Autumn Town! Spring Hamlet also has a shop of it's own with loads of building supplies, tools, and even some fun bits and bobbles with more *unique* properties. Snow is the fruit-in-charge here, and they're looking forward to having you stop by for a visit!

From the depths of the Grove comes this *artist recreation* of part of a Rot dungeon in the works. Even in sketch form, those frowny faces are intimidating! Rana better watch out too, cause it looks like more puzzles will be a part of future adventures. đ

Last Chance to Play the Garden Story Demo!
The winds are getting chilly, the leaves are falling, and itâs time for cozy nights sipping tea and cider: autumn -- and the Steam Fall Games Festival -- is upon us.
This Steam Festival is an extra nostalgic one for us as itâs the LAST CHANCE for you to download and play the Autumn Town Demo on Steam!
After the event is done on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020, weâll be closing the elevator up to Autumn Town and retiring the demo from Steam permanently, but donât worry: If its downloaded and in your library, the demo will be yours to play to your heartâs content, so be sure to get it while you can.
To send off the demo with a fond farewell and celebrate the Festival, weâre broadcasting pre-recorded footage filled with Fall-themed goodness throughout the weekend. So get ready to cozy up and relax!
This weekend youâll see:
Picogram, the developer, showcasing some BTS pixel art creation from Autumn Town (see if you can spot a new character!)
Our composer, Grahm Nesbitt playing the Autumn Town evening theme.

Garden Story Fan Art Contest Kick Off!
August was a BIG month of announcements, so we wanted to celebrate with a fan art contest!
Create any artwork youâd like related to Garden Story and the world of the Grove. Doodles, mini-comics, digital paintings, 3D models, or coffee mugs painted with fruity friends: the opportunities to showcase your creativity are endless!
Share an image of your creation with us on Twitter for a chance to win some wonderful Garden Story prizes.
Overall Selection: The creation that takes the cake and makes our hearts go pitter-patter! Will it be yours?
Single Character Piece: You focused on highlighting one character, and we love that! Concord, Rana, Elderberry, Hakurei⊠thereâs a whole neighborhood of friendly fruits, frogs, and fungi to pick from.
Group Piece: Life is more fun with friends, and you wanted to feature more than just one! This category is for works that include two or more characters from Garden Story.
There will be at least three (3) winners selected, one for each category. Each winner will receive a prize of a digital Garden Story game key (upon release of the full game), Garden Story sticker sheet, Concord pin, and a postcard!
Note: In addition to these main categories, we may select additional pieces we enjoy to win prizes, dependent on the number of entries! ^_^
