We are exactly 48 hours away from launching the game's first DLC called Can Touch This. One of the major aspects of the DLC is to allow you to customize your gas station like never before. We are not talking about new types of decorations of which we added 100 pieces, but about being able to basically completely rebuild your gas station.
Let's have a look at an example. Something that our testers came up for their gas station a couple of days ago when they were doing yet another testing run of the DLC's content:
Add the DLC to your wishlist and don't miss its release at just $2,99:

Update #6 is a larger update to the base game adding new features, some improvements as well as some fixes and optimizations. Below the most important changes.
New Features
Wall Repaint Service has been added to the game and is available at gas station level 5. It allows you pay a painter to come the gas station and repaint the walls.
Alien TR45H Eliminator Supreme has been added using alien technology to quickly remove trash and foot prints within its projectile range. Gas Station level 5 required.
3 new popularity levels are now achievable, with statue upgrades. To accompany them we also added 3 new songs to the game.
Improvements
Upgrades are now handled via a new tab in the PC called Upgrades. We improved on managing upgrades in general and added a tech tree to handle them.
Delivery drivers (food/parts) now stay in the delivery truck so these can drive away quicker.
The UI now shows how much of a product you already have when ordering.
Big changes to decorations, especially their placement:
Indoor decorations are now called Movables.
Outdoor decorations are now calledLandmarks.
All interactive decorations (basketball, RC Car) were moved to a new category: Interactive decorations.
Small decorations around the gas station that were previously accessible from “Outdoor decorations” like benches, chairs, tables, ice machines etc. are now accessible from Movables and are buyable in any amount.
Movables can now be placed outside the gas station (next to its walls) in a freeform way, rather than in pre-placed positions as before.
Fixes
Fixed an issue with employees getting stuck without a task after loading.
Fixed an issue that caused employees to disappear from the Employee tab.
Fixed an issue with wrongly showing the “full trash can” notification while the trash can wasn't really full.
Police cars no longer activate red/blue lights all the time.
Interactions with the PC while holding any tool in hand are now disabled. This should prevent soft locks.
Various other small bug fixes all across the game.
/EDIT: Resetting the excavator (Rudy) now also resets its sand status. This should get rid of the problem that you can't properly clean up stand as the game reports Rudy already caring sand and being unable to dump it.
Performance
Screen Space Global Illumination is now a graphic setting. Setting it to OFF (now by default off) will slightly improve performance. /EDIT: while the performance gains on Nvidia GPUs, especially GTX 1660 and RTX GPUs, are rather small, the performance gains on Radeon GPUs are significant.
Various smaller lighting optimisation all across the game.
Update #6 also comes in preparation for the game's first DLC to be released on May, 18th. If you haven't yet, add it to your wishlist:
Can Touch This DLC delayed by a week, game update this week!
As you might be aware, along the game’s first DLC called Can Touch This, the base game is also to receive a larger update. We have however run into an expected conflict between the base game update and the DLC. Since the base game update contains some very neat things players have requested for a while now, we have decided to release the update this Thursday and postpone the launch of the DLC by one week to 18.05.2022 at 10:00 PST / 19:00 CET.
This gives us enough time to sort out the conflict between the update and the DLC without delaying the update itself. There are some great things in the update. We mentioned the Wall Repaint Service already in an earlier annoucement. Here some other highlights that will come in the update:
Decorations around the gas station can now be removed and placed in different spots. The placement itself has also been improved.
Delivery drivers stay inside the vehicle, so they will drive away faster.
See how much you have in stock already when ordering.
And much more you are going to see on Thursday.
Now, we promised a while ago to do something about keeping the gas station clean. While we tweaked the settings a bit in past updates, we were also working on a different approach. A futuristic vacuum device that should be of great help to keep the gas station clean that will also be included in this update.
Have a quick look at some of the these things in action:
Before releasing the update this Thursday, we will make it available for early testing on the test branch. Please check our Discord for more details on when exactly it becomes accessible and how to get it.

First Gas Station Simulator DLC just 2 weeks away!
The Can Touch This DLC for Gas Station Simulator will be here in just two weeks so let’s have another look at its other features like rebuilding the gas station using the new hammer tool
HAMMER TOOL
The Hammer Tool is probably the biggest feature of the DLC. It is the go-to tool when it comes to customizing and oh boy can you customize now. You will be able to change walls and roofs and even go as far as change the location of windows. Change the wooden paneling to bricks or stone, or change the appearance completely and make your roof flat which will make your station look completely different.
Windows are another interesting area to change things up. You can transform the interior by putting windows in other places that they are now and do the same with doors.
Combine it with the ability to reposition the cash register you can make people stand where you want them to. Rotate and change the cash register’s position so you can add or remove windows or doors accordingly to even further influence the customer flow. Play around and make your ideas come to life and change everything there is.
Together with even more decorations in the DLC, you will be soon able to transform your station completely.
DECAL TOOL
Another tool that is being added by the DLC is the Decal Tool. It allows you to spray paint practically anything anywhere to make your station look even more interesting and give it an even more personal touch.
Choose from dozens of presets ready for painting, select the tool and paint wherever you please. You can combine them as well so make some nice ornaments or keep them as they are, it’s up to you.
And there’s more, but we leave that for you to discover. Add the DLC to your wishlist to not miss it when it becomes available on May 11th 2022 for just $2.99:
Large update alongside Gas Station Simulator’s first DLC
As posted here there are some pretty nifty things in Gas Station Simulator’s first DLC: Can Touch This and you should definitely check it out. With the release of the DLC just a month away, we will also deploy a larger patch for the base game itself.
Apart of fixes and further optimisation we try to do in every patch/update, the one accompanying the DLC also adds some things the community has been requesting for a while now. While we are going to post details as to what the update is going to contain in about 2 weeks, right now we’d like to pick one thing to give you an idea what to expect.
The patch will contain a lot of smaller things, but small quite often can have a big impact. Case in point: the wall repaint service that will be added to the game. At some point you can’t stand repainting the walls again and again. Sure, when you change the color or experiment around with customisations it’s one thing, but just repainting the same color for maintenance purposes gets old quite quick.
That’s where the wall repaint service comes in. Let someone else do the job for you. Pay them some money and have them deal with the problem of repainting walls while you spend your time doing something else. Like diving into the exciting new features brought by the DLC that you should add to your wishlist right away:
First Gas Station Simulator DLC just one month away
The Can Touch This DLC is undoubtedly getting closer to its release and we are bringing you more details and information about what you can expect from it once it is available to everyone!
The DLC isn't the only thing to look forward to, though. Accompanying the DLC will be a larger patch for the base game with some neat new features, but more about that next week. Now let's have a look at some of the many things the DLC will bring to the game.
MORE DECORATIONS
We know that you gather (steal) a lot of decorations from people's trunks throughout the game or just buy them from the shop and they end up piling up in your inventory. So now, you can put all the excessive decoration to your warehouse loft.
You can now fully customize your living area, put out decoration, paint the walls and make it to your liking as you couldn’t before!
We’ve also added more decorations to the game in general, so you'll be able to choose from many new gems you’ll find in the game.
This doesn’t only apply to the warehouse, but also to the workshop! Now you can finally change the look of the entire gas station premises.
EXTRA LEVELS
We also know that this is something that every player went through when playing Gas Station Simulator. Reaching the final upgrade of each service and wanting more from it. From Gas Station to the latest Car Wash, we heard you and now we deliver.
With the upcoming DLC, you will be able to upgrade your Gas Station by 2 additional levels, Warehouse by 2 additional levels and Workshop by 1 more level. Those upgrades will of course come with appropriate perks such as more storage capacity and expansion of the building.
So remember, once the DLC is out on May 11th 2022, jump into the game, gather new decorations, earn more money and further expand your business with new mechanics and customization opportunities! And check back here soon for more insights into the DLC's content when we take a closer look at the new tools it will add to your menu and what cool things you can do with those.
