Today, we will discuss one of the RPG classics - the Greatsword. Greatswords seem like an easy weapon to use, but only a few Gatewalkers have been able to master it, resulting in the use of the forgotten art of sword fighting based on focus.
In other words, this technique consists of gaining focus points by hitting opponents with the sword. Obtaining an appropriate number of points strengthens the attacks with additional power (fully focused stance).
Gatewalkers trained in this art never lose focus during a fight (adrenaline). Only after the end of the skirmish, during relaxation, do the points slowly drop to zero (1 point per 5 seconds).
Let us show you what skills you will get if you choose a Greatsword during your expeditions:
Greatsword Swing - a powerful two-handed blow that deals cone-shaped damage in front of you. This ability charges the focus points on the hit and deals additional damage in a fully focused stance.
Shielding Swing - is a mighty Greatsword strike, which, apart from long range, also makes you take a defensive stance. This stance strengthens your defense by adding a temporary shield. This ability charges the focus points on the hit and deals additional damage in a fully focused stance.
Focus Implosion - you hit the ground with a Greatsword, consuming the aggregate energy of focus. As a result, it creates a powerful area of effect (AOE) that deals damage and stuns enemies. If the focus was fully charged, it makes the AOE hit performed three times. This significantly increases the AOE damage and extends the time of the stun. This skill also consumes all focus points on use.
Piercing charge - the player stands in a charging pose and then runs straight ahead. It is a dash that passes through enemies and deals damage to everyone along the way. Useful for smashing the enemy, as well as to dodging quickly. It charges focus points on hits and deals additional damage in a fully focused stance.

Ancient Qubic
Dear Gatewalkers!
Today we want to introduce a new weapon - Ancient qubic!
First, look at our concept art to see it in full detail. We find this weapon very cool, and we hope you will find it interesting too!
Ancient qubic is a technology used by the Ancients. The long-forgotten weapon was found and developed by Viktor. He learned how to bridle its power and steer it. Now Gatewalkers can creatively use it to fight.
Basically, the technology consists of a giant glove, conjugated to the drone - a qubic. Gatewalker can steer the qubic using the glove.
It has four skills. The first one - main skill - is a single shot. The qubic is aimed at the target, and then it applies the stack Qubic Curse.
Secondary skill is qubic detonation. The qubic hits the target and splits into many fragments forming a large cone of AOE damage.
Third way to use this weapon is called Energy Whip. Skill creates a whip with a chain of philotic energy from qubicks. It reduces resistance by 10%, in the case of an element, an additional 20% for this element.
Last but not least, you can use the Ancient Link. After casting, the player links to opponents who have at least one Qubic Curse stack.
Opponent gets damage every second depending on the number of stacks and heals depending on that number. So, the more stacks, the bigger the damage!
We hope that you will like the new weapon! Please let us know your thoughts in the comments! We value your feedback, so don’t hesitate to write a word. You can do this by joining our Discord here:

The Ancient Mine
Dear Gatewalkers!
Recently, we told you about the Underground Ancient Facility in Fire Worlds. Today, we will reveal more about a mysterious place in the Ice Worlds - The Ancient Iron Mine.
This place is crucial for Gatewalkers - it hides powerful devices. However, to get them, the player will face multiple obstacles... Life can never be too simple for a Gatewalker.
Before you reach the Ancient Iron Mine, you will have to figure out how to open the door (1). Howling winds and snowstorms destroyed the whole area, so be prepared for a lot of rubble and piles of junk (2),(3),(4). You will have to deal with them to find a battery and enter it into the steering machine (5).
If you succeed to open the door to the Ancient Iron Mine, you will see places like:
A chamber (6) that leads to the main hall of the Ancient Iron Mine (7), protected by ancient guardians
A device necessary to complete your mission (8)
A secret chamber (9) that may be hiding something interesting.
The Ancient Iron Mine is only an example of multiple facilities you will visit during your journey. Stay tuned for more information and extras. See you on the other side of the Gate!

Gatewalkers weaponry #4 - Force Staff
Hi Gatewalkers!
Today we will introduce one of the basic weapons, the force staff! Some of you have already been playing with Force staff during the beta tests, but we made some tweaks especially for higher tiers (T4+).
Overview: Force staff users can harness the essence of their surroundings by using the technology of the Ancients. Some Gatewalkers don't like using Ancient technology, which is not fully understood by The Guild yet. But for the more adventurous, a force staff can be a great weapon of choice.
The force staff is a basic weapon usable from the start of the game. This ranged, two-handed weapon can deal massive damage from a distance. Moreover, force staffs are capable of immobilizing (aka rooting) enemies briefly.
Now let us discuss force staff in detail.
Ancient Curse: Every non-basic attack made with a force staff curses enemies. This curse deals damage and vanishes when the target is hit by a basic attack. This mechanic makes chaining your skills properly essential for maximizing your damage.
Force Projectile: A projectile that hits a single target and can trigger additional damage from the ancient curse. More advanced force staffs can trigger ancient curses that explode, dealing damage to all targets in a small area.
Force Grenade: A slow-flying grenade that deals damage and immobilizes briefly all targets in the impact area.
Force Nova: Skill that deals damage and immobilizes briefly all targets around the caster. It also increases the speed of the caster for a short time.
Force Discharge: A powerful wave of energy flows from the staff forming an energy projectile. It travels slowly dealing damage to all targets on its path. For top-tier staffs, this projectile consumes additional energy from the surroundings on its way increasing its force while traveling.
Ancient curse buff: In addition to other benefits from higher-level weapons, after reaching T4 the ancient curse will give additional benefit to the force staff user. With each consecutive curse hit, the player will get a buff to damage dealt.
We hope that you will like the weapon and you will try it out! Please let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Gatewalkers weaponry #3 - Spellsword
Hi Gatewalkers,
today we will introduce one of Gatewalker’s weaponry classics, the spellsword! The spellsword was already available in the beta tests, but we have tweaked some of its elemental and higher tier (T4+) versions. So even if some of you already wielded a spellsword, some of its mechanics have changed since then.
Spellswords, despite their appearance, are not cutting weapons. The core of the weapon is made using the technology of the Ancients. Gatewalkers interested in dealing medium-range, area attacks will find this weapon particularly interesting. Due to its shorter range, spellsword users have to stay closer to their targets than other magic weapon wielders. This inherent weakness is offset by a larger area of attack of its skills.
Sonic Wave: This simple attack is a wave of energy within a close-/medium-range. It hits every target in the area. Every once in a while, the spellsword charges itself. When it is charged, the next Sonic Wave will deal significantly more damage. Charged Sonic Waves will also have a larger area of attack when used with endgame spellswords.
Pillar: The caster gathers energy in a selected spot, and after a short delay, every target in the area will be struck by a pillar of raw power. This power will charge the next Sonic Wave if the caster chooses to be in the striking area of this skill. This secondary skill attack effect changes significantly with different elemental enchantments.
The key to maximizing damage with a spell sword is charging Sonic Waves often. To achieve this goal, one must consistently hit both oneself and the enemies with pillar spells.
Spell Surge: A massive high-damage vortex of energy forms around the caster. The vortex deals bursts of damage to all targets for a short period. This spell’s secondary effects are affected by the weapon’s element the same way as the pillar spell.
Elemental modifications: The pillar’s and spell surge’s skills secondary effects change depending on the element ingrained into the core of the spellsword. Those effects are:
Heat: More damage to enemies and damage buff for friendly targets.
Shock: Interrupts and dazes enemies. Faster movement for caster and his allies.
Cold: Slows down and stuns enemies.
Void: Weakness debuff for enemies that decreases their attack power and resistance.
Toxic: Toxic poison that deals damage to enemies over a period of time.
Also, remember, this is a one-handed weapon, so you can use it in combination with all shields and off-hand weapons like pistols or torches.
We hope you will like the weapon and try it out! Please let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Underground Ancient Facility
Dear Gatewalkers!
Today, we will present the concept of underground Ancient Facilities that you will explore during your expeditions on Fire Worlds. An example of such an Ancient Facility would be a device for collecting heat energy from lava and aggregating it into coil batteries.
The entrance to the complex
As you can see, the underground complex combines the natural chambers of the cave with ancient platforms. This is possible because Deulitium alloy and other rare elements used by the ancients to build such complexes have very high resistance to heat.
The underground complex
The presented Ancient Facility consist of the following important places pointed on the above isometric view:
The entry to the complex is usually a hatch that is hard to miss when you explore the unknown corners of the Fire World.
Battery coils that aggregate the power extracted from heat.
A heat power extractor that reaches far below the lava surface.
Extractors are crucial and hazardous devices that can explode when their work is disrupted. Therefore, they are protected by ancient guardians.
The final reward, the challenge box with the treasures of the Ancients.
The Facility presented today is just one example of multiple facilities you will discover during your journeys as a Gatewalker. We hope you will like them! Stay tuned and see you on the other side of The Gate!

Gatewalkers weaponry #2 - Hatchet
Hi Gatewalkers,
today, we are presenting our second weaponry post. This time we will take a look at the Hatchet!
The Hatchet is a simple but deadly weapon if used by the right person. It is a one-handed mid-range weapon as well as a melee weapon. The key mechanic of this weapon is based on two states: (1) throwing and (2) rage. The combat is initialized by throwing (default state), allowing the Player to poke an enemy from mid-range. Throws resulting in enemy hits stack the bleeding effect in this state, which increases the rage counter. At any time, the Player can use its ultimate ability to deal massive damage (based on the number of rage stacks on enemies) and change the state to Rage. Mid-range abilities change into melee combat spells that allow diving into close combat in the Rage state.
It is worth noticing that a hatchet is a one-handed damage-per-second (DPS) weapon, which means you can combine it with, for example, a handgun to further increase DPS or with a shield for a more defensive build.
Now let us look at skills available in the mid-range state:
Axe Throw: Throw the ax straight, hitting the first enemy encountered. Additionally, it applies a bleed stack.
Axe Boomerang Throw: A spinning ax throw to a distance of 6.5 meters. The ax passes through all the targets it hits, dealing damage and applying a bleeding effect. After reaching its maximum range, it returns to the thrower. If the Player catches the Hatchet on the way back, the cooldown is reduced by half.
Bloody Rage: The Player goes berserk (Rage state) and consumes all bleed stacks in the area (13 meters range). Each stack consumed deals additional damage and increases the power of berserk.
The more stacks a player consumes on casting a skill, the longer the berserk lasts and the more resilience they gain. During the berserk, the Axe Throw skill switches to Rage Axe Swing, and Axe Boomerang Throw switches Rage Slash.
Skills available during Rage state:
Rage Axe Swing: Very fast crosswise ax strike that deals a lot of damage. This skill has a low cooldown which allows you to use it almost continuously.
Rage Slash: Slower but stronger ax strike against opponents in hand-to-hand combat. Additionally, each enemy hit extends the duration of the rage state.
That is all for today's weaponry post! Please let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Gatewalkers weaponry #1 - Rifle
Hi Gatewalkers,
Today we will introduce to you one of the new weapons that will be available during Gatewalkers’ release. The rifle!
Rifles are technological innovations in the Guild, and not many Gatewalkers had a chance to use them. Innovative weapons created by guild engineers are often underestimated by Gatewalkers, who are more familiar with classic ranged weapons such as bows and crossbows.
But those we tried to use Rifles during their expeditions usually stick with them for a long time!
The rifle is an advanced (T4+) slow-speed two-handed ranged weapon. Complex reloading mechanics make this weapon relatively slow, but massive damage dealt by even a single shot makes up for it. Now let us discuss each rifle spell in detail:
Single Shot: Projects o single shot with robust damage. It marks enemies with a "Sharp Shooter Mark.”
Shrapnel Projectile: Guild rifles can be loaded with explosive projectiles. The projectiles hit the target and split into many fragments forming a large cone of AOE damage. In addition, the shooter can activate the projectile split at any time by re-casting it. This spell marks enemies with a "Sharp Shooter Mark.”
Rush Back Fire: This skill consists of two subsequent phases. In the first phase, the player sprints forward a long distance. During the sprint, the player's resistance raises significantly. In addition, all the enemies the player runs next to get marked with a "Sharp Shooter Mark.”
In the second phase (second activation of this spell), the player shoots a splash projectile that deals massive damage to enemies marked with a "Sharp Shooter Mark.” Then, the player jumps back in the opposite direction to the shot.
Aimed Shots: The player kneels on one knee and aims with the rifle for a while. After aiming, the player shoots at the cursor position. After the first shot, it immediately goes to the second and then the third shots. You cannot move during shooting. Each shot deals great damage as it passes through all enemies. The damage is hugely increased if Aimed shots hit enemies with a "Sharp Shooter Mark.”
We hope that you will like the new weapon and you will try it out! Please let us know your thoughts in the comments!
