Survival mode
Survival mode is another way to play Gedonia with another angle, different from the main game. You can access it from Main menu --> Bonus. This time the main mechanics of the game are mixed up with survival mechanics like hunger/thirst sliders and base defense. You will need to defend your base from attackers, build defenses etc.
You will be able to explore quite a huge map in this mode. This is the first map for the game that wasnt made by me. I've found young and promising level designer, who managed to build quite a huge map with mountains, castles, caves, canyons etc over several months.
This mode doesnt have strict end goal, but it could be fun to level up a character or two to see how many waves you can get through.
Other fixes:
Fixed a bug which didnt allowed to save house in dungeons mode.
Fixed an old bug that incorrectly calculated the duration of buffs with long ticks on a character. Because of this, buffs such as the element of light ticked for a couple of minutes instead of the half hour they should have. They should work fine now..

Development of additional regions
I also wanted to share some info about current development plans for Gedonia Back when I announced a roadmap for future updates, I really didn't have any plans for the sequel, and I just wanted to explore different parts of the world I envisioned. Now, currently, it became clear that I don't have enough resources to develop an ambitious sequel and huge content rich addons both at the same time.
Both Uncharted island and Black wastes are huge regions of the map. It took me 5 months of full time development to create Northern Kingdoms, and in the end, it came out with less content that the main game. And these new zones deserve atleast as much, which, If I would do it, would completely stop development of the sequel. You guys have such a cool ideas for Uncharted Islands, like ship mechanics, pirate treasures etc. And this zone deserves to be explored in a proper way. So yeah, I think I will postpone working on these new zones, and perhaps we will explore them in future games or expansions.
Survival mode
I still had some secret ideas for the game I was working on in the background. I wanted to reveal it later, but I think with the news of cancellation of new regions, you guys deserve to know that there still be more stuff for the game in the future. I've been working on a separate mode for Gedonia, and I will hopefully be able to release it at the end of this year or the beginning of the next one.
Survival mode features:
1) New separate mode for the game. 2) Much more hardcore gameplay, hunger and thirst mechanics, cold and heat mechanics, sickness mechanics. 3) Expanded base building, your main base will be attacked by night, so you will need to build defensive structures, hire mercenary guards, defend it yourself. 4) Huge new map, which is already completed. I hired very talented level designer, who created new map, full of powerful Bosses, abandoned fortresses, dungeons, and other cool stuff. 5) The mode will be more gameplay focused. Less story content, more places to explore with enemies, loot, bosses, challenges.

It just released on early access, and the dev actually contacted me in the past and said that success of Gedonia inspired him to develop the game, which is pretty cool.

Hello everyone! The game was just updated with version 1.49a
Building system update
I designed building system back in 2019, and it was quite dated and limited because of that. Now, when a scope of project was hugely increased, building system required rework, which would allow for new feature and continous updates.
You can now buy several plots of land in the zone and build unique different houses on each plot of land. They are marked on your map. Each plot offers unique farming buildings with unique upgrades. There will be more plots in the future.
Ocean beach house - located near mage academy in Gedonia, allows to build a house on water and gather fish
Dark tower - located in teh darklands, allows to build building with dark architecture and gives dark power buffs
Volflar temple plot. Allows you to build a house in Volflar style, and gives arcane magic bonuses
Barbarian house - allows you to build barbarian style house near Korram in Gedonia desert. Allows you to brew unique shaman potions and fight barbarian champions to earn marks of ascendancy
Frozen temple house. Located near frozen temple in Northern kingdoms, allows you to earn frozen energy
Homing spot rework
Running between such amount of houses can be a chore, so I've updated homing stone building in your house. It will now allow you to instantly fast travel between bough land plots, and configure homing location of your homing spot in your inventory
Earning bonus furniture
Building system rework now allow you to earn bonus furniture in the world. Now occassionally, you will encounter furniture designs lying around. Interacting with them will allow you to build different new cool decoration elements, furniture or buildings
Ram fights!
Now you can participate in Ram fights in the Northern Kingdom, in the Ironclad fortress, and earn some marks of ascendancy. This was originally planned as one of the side acitivities in the original Northern Kingdoms update, but I wasn't able to implement it at the time. Now it's a simple mini-game, which you can participate in any time.
Other changes
Improved armor and magic resistance by 33% once again for all heavy armor epic sets, which should hopefully increase survavibility even more
Fixed the bug with collision in Maribelle cave
Dark knight epic set now gives bonus armor and magic resistance when you use dark pact

An exciting modding update was added to the game. Now you can upload your own custom models for envrionment, player skins or weapon skins!
Here is a small tutorial that explains the basics, but it's overall very simple:

Hello everyone! The game was updated with version 1.46a
I've added new passive abilities for speech tree, which are supposed to improve companion-based builds at later stages of the game, and at endgame. Aura of Leadership will improve their attack speed by 25%, and Aura of Power ill improve their armor, and also can be heavily improved through runic forge upgrades.
Other fixes:
Fixed bug with dead shielded enemies animations
Fixed bugs with dungeon trophies buttons not working in dungeon mode
Summon fire fish is not one-use item anymore and can summon up to 4 fish companions
Fixed the bug with some mount buff, specifically Az'gor dark magic buff
Fixed the bug with Frostbite sword not receiving experience for enemy kills
To get I am the boss achievement, now you only need to kill bosses in Gedonia, respawnable bosses in Northern Kingdoms are ignored for this achievement
Fixed the bug with ascended armor not improving companions correctly
Fixed few probles with gamepad cursor in menus

The game was just updated with version 1.45c
Fixed a bug with being unable to attack bosses on coven of demons quest sometimes
Fixed the bug with one of the boss bodies not disappearing during story moment

Hello everyone!
The game was updated with version 1.45a
Coven of demons and new world bosses for Northern Kigdoms
I've added new quest for Northern Kingdoms zone, which is meant to tie up a couple of storylines from other quests in the zone, and deals with demons of the north. The quest also gives you new living weapon, which I'm not gonna spoil here, and two new epic sets.
Blade dancer epic set which allows you to use bard abilites in melee, without playing serenades
Dark mage epic set which allows you to focus on dark spells without summons
You can also buy these sets at the store in the explorers camp, same as others. I've also added 6 new world bosses for Northern Kigdoms, which are respawnable and can be used for farming endgame resources.
Other changes:
Fixed the bug with grass options being back to default between zone changes
Added option for simplifies water shader, which should help with bright color water bug on some AMD cards
Fixed rune of the pack
Added new mechanic for Enduring epic set which will allow it to deal more damage
Crit chance now correctly improves on ascended armor
Added more lights in the dungeons in expeditions and made them shorter and more streamlined
Mod fixes:
Fixed the bug with placement of items on the map
Fixed the bug with icons on the items not loading properly
Fixed the bug that caused some modded NPCs to fall through textures
Fixed the bug which caused modded buildings not to load material sometimes

Update 1.41a
Hello everyone! The game was just updated with version 1.41a
This is a fairly small update, which adds a new quest for level 40, set in Ertoron. The main purpose of this update was to fix and rework current King's castle in the city. The castle interior was unfinished for quite awhile. I've started working on it back in 2019, when the game was a lot different, and I had an idea for a particular quest involving king of Ertoron. During development the game was changed so much, that I had to abandon initial plans for it and move on with different idea. Now it's finally finished, and has bigger interior and an actual king sitting in there. You can follow the quest or you cank kill a king and become an outlaw.
Other changes:
I've rebalanced gameplay for heavy melee endgame sets a little. Now all heavy endgame sets have a little bit more armor, you can actually knockdown heavier enemies and Powerful strike/Whirlwind/Charge dont hinder stamina regeneration after level 50 of your character, which should improve your damage output a lot.
Fixed the bug with woman's version of enduring set not looking like a male version
Fixed the issue with being stuck on story box quest in Volflar Fields
Magic shield now absorbs more damage if your player level is higher (more info in ability tooltip)
I've added some loot back to the Darklands bosses. Without it, it felt really unrewarding to kill bosses in Darklands. Now you will be able to get some epic set items from bosses.
Hemmorhage in blood demon form now have 1 second cooldown instead of 0
Fixed stuck problems in Frozen Temple
Fixed new armor sets showing on some companions
Mods:
You can now create Animal NPCs and companions
Fixed the bug with stackable toggle in effects tab
Added advanced manager for merchant assortiment which will allow you to remove or move around certain items
