Holiday Events are a new type of event with a 2 week duration, to celebrate various holidays throughout the year.
Holiday Events contain a series of battles in a kingdom.
Players get up to 3 Holiday Battles each day that they can use to play battles during the event.
Holiday Battles work similar to Delve Attempts so any unused battles (below the 3 free battles) do not carry over to the next day. (e.g. If a player has 1/3 battles remaining at daily reset, the event will reset it to 3 Battles, and the unused battle is not carried over).
Holiday Battles have a soft cap of 3. However, purchasing more Holiday Battles allows players to exceed this cap. Players will not lose any Holiday Battles that exceed the cap. (E.g. If a player purchases Holiday battles so the number of battles is 6/3 then at Daily reset they will continue to have 6/3 Holiday Battles).
Players can purchase more Holiday Battles via Gems from the Event Shop (more information below).
Holiday Battle attempts will reset to 3 attempts at daily reset (7am GMT) each day.
The battles start at Tier I, and every 5 battles (win or lose) the player will be given the choice to increase or decrease the Tier.
Battle Levels at Tier I will be 10-19, and will increase by +10 every Tier.
Battles at Tier I will reward +20 Event Currency (more information below), and that will increase by +1 every Tier
Players are restricted to using a single color for the Troops and Weapons they can take into Holiday events battles (similar to Tower of Doom).
The Holiday Event is accessed from the Game Menu, and is split into 3 tabs: Overview, Fight, and Event Shop.
On the Holiday-Fight Tab, players will have 3 battles to choose from, whose teams are each built from an Epic, Legendary, or Mythic Troop in the Holiday Event Kingdom.
Each battle has an independent randomly-chosen level within the level range based on the Player's current Tier in the event.
After completing a battle (win or lose), 3 new battles will be generated to choose between.
Each Holiday Event has a currency unique to that event. For example, the first Halloween Event, the “Lost Souls of Carmina” will reward “Lost Souls” as its currency. These are only useful within their event, and will be lost at the end of the event.
Players can spend the Event Currency they earn from an Holiday Event in the Holiday-Shop Tab. Some of the rewards there can be purchased more than once.
New Legendary Troop
New Pet: This Pet will give Skill Point bonus to the Legendary Troop.
New Armor Set: This is a new cosmetic armor set.
Traitstones: Get Traitstones to fully trait the new Legendary Troop
Pet Food: Get enough Pet Food to fully level the new Pet
Orb of Power
The New Legendary Troop will go into chests 4-5 weeks after the Holiday Event ends.
The new Pet will be available from Pet Gnomes immediately.
These items may be different for future Holiday Events.
As previously mentioned players can spend gems to purchase a Holiday Battles Bundle with 3 additional Holiday Battles. This bundle can be purchased multiple times, each time costing 50 Gems more than the previous time. The bundle's cost will reset at daily reset.
Our first Holiday Event, The Lost Souls of Carmina, will begin at Weekly Reset on October 24th for Halloween.
We have 2 new Achievements for this update:
Holiday Hero: Earn 100 Currency in a single Holiday Event
Power Unlimited: Earn a Orb of Power from a Holiday Event

We have improved the Dungeon Offers so players can interact anywhere on the offer in order to purchase it. It now has a help button on the offer if players wish to view the help text.
We have changed Dungeon Doors so each door is opened and resolved before the next door can be opened.
We have changed the Dungeon Door selection to be more noticeable for players using controllers.
We have added a new Heroic Gem for a future Campaign.
We have fixed an issue where Troop filters from World Events would sometimes continue to apply even when looking in the Troop menu from the world map.
We have fixed an issue where Lamia's spell would not give her Mana if an enemy died, when her target was the 4th Troop.
We have fixed an issue where selecting the "Do Task" button on a re-rolled "Win any Battle" campaign task would not seem to do anything.
We have fixed an issue where encountering a battlecrasher for the first time in a battle would display the Treasure Gnome Tutorial Text.
We have fixed a visual issue on Switch where the Currency text would overlap on the purchase button of a Tiered Flash Offer.
We have fixed an issue where Heroic Gems were causing a soft-lock when matched in a 4-match and then casting a targeting Troop spell.
We have fixed a text issue in the Kingdom Menu when the Kingdom was Level 20.

We have fixed an issue where opening multiple doors in succession in Dungeons can cause an error message to appear.
We have fixed an assortment of smaller issues.
6.5 Update
We have made an update to the Dungeon to make it feel more like players are exploring a dungeon, and adding new ways for players to interact with it.
The Dungeon Menu has had an update to have 2 tabs in the Menu. One for the main dungeon, and one for the new Dungeon Shop (see below).
Dungeons now have a Level that affects the difficulty of the Dungeon. The Dungeon Level can never go below 1 and can never be higher than 20.
Dungeon Level will also affect the rewards that can be earned in the Dungeon, so completing Dungeons on harder difficulties will give more rewards.
Shards +1 per level
Jewels +1 per level
Diamonds +1 per 10 levels
The Megaboss gives double rewards
Players will have 6 Dungeon doors to pick from, behind each door is either a Battle, Trap or Boon Room. Each Dungeon will have 3 Battle Rooms, 2 Traps, and 1 Boon Room.
Battles are the same battles that players encountered before with the exception of the final Boss for the Dungeon. We have added 7 new Dungeon Bosses for players to encounter, one for each Day.
These new Dungeon Bosses are Gem Dragon Mythic bosses, each themed to their Dungeon.
Players can now fight Dungeon Battles in any order once they encounter them in the Dungeon. (E.g. If the Player finds the Battle against the Gem Dragon, they can fight that before they do any other battles).
Traps will apply debuffs to the player in any future Battle in the dungeon for that day. Trap effects are reset daily, so Traps will not affect the following day.
If Players manage to defeat all 3 Battles without encountering a Trap, they will earn a Perfect Run which will earn them Dragonite, a new resource that can be used in the Soulforge.
Boon Rooms are 1 of 3 types of Rooms - Altar, Treasure or Stairs.
Altars are the reverse of Traps, and will grant a buff to Ally Troops in all future Battles for that day. Like Traps, Altars will only apply for that day, and are lost when Daily Reset occurs.
Treasures will give bonus Jewels for that day's Dungeon. (e.g. A Treasure Room in the Dungeon of Fire will give Rubies).
Stairs can either go up or down. Stairs that go up will lower the Dungeon's Level, while Stairs that go down will increase the Dungeon's level.
Players can choose whether they wish to use the Stairs to change their Dungeon Level or if they want to stay on the same Dungeon Level.
If the player uses the Stairs the new Dungeon Level will apply to any unfought battles, and Treasures that have not yet been encountered.
We have updated the Dungeon Shop making it easier for players to find and view the offers.
Gem Bounties no longer require players to defeat a Dungeon Boss to in order for it to be available for Purchase.
We have added 3 new offers for players to spend Gems on to get resources for the Soulforge, including Cursed Runes and Dragonite.
We have added new Soulforge Recipes that use Dragonite to be crafted.
One of these recipes is the Gem Dragon Egg. This recipe will craft either Sapphirax, Emeraldrin, Rubirath, Topasarth, Amethialas or Garnetaerlin.
Two Legendary Weapon recipes require these Troops in order to craft them.
One Mythic Weapon that needs both Legendary Weapons to craft.
Crafting all the Mythic Weapon will allow players to craft the final Gem Dragon, Diamantina.
We have made some improvements to the Kingdom Dailys so that it will try to give players more offers better targeted for the Kingdom Power Level Tasks. We will continue to make further improvements in the future.
We have also added some new offers to help fill in gaps that were not being offered previously. Some of these include:
Forge Scroll Offer
Epic Medal Offer
(This is similar to the Epic Medal offer that VIP players have been able to get but the price is different).
Legendary Medal Offer
(This is similar to the Legendary Medal offer that VIP players have been able to get but the price is different).
Mythic Medal Offer
These changes will be released over the next week.
We have 2 new Achievements for this update:
Practice Makes Perfect: Get a perfect run in a Dungeon.
Diamonds are Forever: Craft a Gem Dragon Egg in the Soulforge.
Weapons can now be sorted by ‘Tempering’ rather than ‘Level’ in the Weapon filter menu.
We have fixed several visual issues related to the new Conversation layouts.
We have fixed an issue where after completing several battles in Legend’s Reborn, there could be a soft lock in another game mode.
We have fixed an issue where having Ironhawk with the 3rd trait unlocked on a Team when the opponent’s Troops were Stealthy or Submerged could cause a soft lock when you cast a Spell.
We have fixed a visual issue where Guild Bonuses sometimes appeared deactivated in the Guild menu on a Statue even though the Bonus was active.
We have fixed an issue where the game crashed or soft locked when finishing the Broken Spire Quest line and then navigating to Adventure Path > Adventure.
We have fixed an issue where if a player had an old account but hadn’t met the requirements to finish the Adventure Path, the Adventure Path button didn’t display on the World Map.
We have fixed an issue where selecting the same Reward Tier Twice in the Legend’s Reborn Event causes a CLIFFY error.
We have fixed an issue where Souls rewarded from Gnome and Battlecrasher Loot, Adventure Board and Delve Room Souls were not being added to the Shrine of Treachery.
We have fixed an issue where the next Faction Assault was shown as starting in “%” instead of the correct amount of time if you had the Games menu open when the current Faction Assault ended.
We have fixed an issue when playing with a controller where you can select ‘Cast’ on a Troop’s Spell, then before selecting an enemy to target, turn on Autoplay, causing a soft lock.
We have fixed an issue in the Weapons Filter where Weapons could be sorted by ‘Amount’ despite only being able to own 1 of each Weapon.
We have fixed an assortment of smaller issues.
6.4 Update
Legends Reborn is a 2 week long event that runs in a Kingdom.
The chosen Kingdom will have an icon on the Kingdom's name plate on the World Map (similar to when a Quest is available for the Kingdom has bonus Mythstones).
Legends Reborn can be accessed from 3 places:
Games Menu
News Menu
Kingdom Menu for chosen Kingdom in Legends Reborn - Players who have completed the storyline for the Kingdom that Legends Reborn is happening in will be able to access the event from that Kingdom’s Menu.
While Legends Reborn is active, players can replay the Kingdom's Storyline (from the Legends Reborn Menu).
Players will not gain the Quest Bonus Income, Unlock Challenges, or Troop rewards that may have been gained when playing the Storyline Quests normally.
Players will not be able to replay the Kingdom's Class Quest.
The Kingdom Storyline in Legends Reborn will have a starting difficulty of Level 20, and increase in difficulty for each battle played.
Playthroughs at a higher difficulty will unlock during the event.
DIFFICULTY II (Lv 50): Day 3
DIFFICULTY III (Lv 80): Day 6
DIFFICULTY IV (Lv 110): Day 9
DIFFICULTY V (Lv 140): Day 12
Each playthrough will unlock copies of a special Pet that will buff an Epic Rarity Troop from that Kingdom.
Also during a Legends Reborn event, players will be able to earn a “Kingdom Collectible” for the event by defeating Enemies of that Kingdom's primary color (in any game mode, except for Training mode).
Earning this Kingdom collectible will unlock Reward Tiers for the Legends Reborn event.
In each Tier there are 4 types of Rewards a player can collect:
FREE: These rewards are free to collect, and contain a Pet that will buff a Troop of Ultra-Rare or Lower Rarity.
GEM: These rewards can be purchased using Gems, and contain a Pet that will buff a Legendary Rarity Troop, as well as other rewards (including Cursed Gnome bait)
CASH: These rewards can be purchased using real money, and contain a Pet that will buff a Mythic Rarity Troop, as well as other rewards (including a Orb of Power).
BONUS: These rewards become available if a player collects all the other rewards in the Tier.
A player cannot collect a reward in a higher tier unless they have collected the matching reward in a lower tier.
E.g. Players would need to collect the Tier I Gem Reward before they would be able to collect/purchase the Tier II Gem Reward. There is no need to purchase the Tier I Cash Reward though in order to get the Tier II Gem Reward or the Tier II Free Reward.
All pets available in Kingdoms Reborn will also be available from Pet Gnomes.
Legends Reborn does not have a set schedule when it will run (compared to other events like Guild Wars).
(Our first Legends Reborn Event will start at weekly reset on August 1st)
Some platforms are now requiring all games to include in-game account deletion. So players on Steam, iOS and Android will now be able to delete their account from within the game. (We will be looking to bring this feature to Xbox, PlayStation and Switch Players in a future update.)
In the Settings Menu > Account, players will find a new Delete Account button that will allow them to start the countdown to delete their account.
Once a player confirms they would like to delete their account, it will start a 20 day timer before the deletion will take place
There will be a confirmation screen after the player decides to start the countdown so players are aware it's active.
We have put in a 20 day timer to prevent players from accidentally having their account deleted.
Players who have started the timer will get a pop up message every time after daily reset reminding them that the deletion countdown is in progress and how many days remain.
Players can change their mind at any time and just click on the Delete Account button again to stop it.
Stopping an account deletion, and then restarting it will reset the countdown back to 20 days.
After the countdown ends the game will then delete the player's account from the game server similar to a GDPR request (for those familiar with this). THIS CANNOT BE REVERSED.
This will include any purchases that have been made so please make sure before you decide to delete your account.
PLEASE NOTE ONCE AN ACCOUNT IS DELETED IT CANNOT BE RECOVERED.
We have made some visual changes to the following things, as part of an ongoing upgrade to various game elements. This is visual only. Expect more things to be upgraded into a similar style in future updates over the next 12 months.
Headings on menu with Tab Navigation
Tab Navigation Bars
Green Buttons in the game
These Buttons will have a few color variations based on what they do in the game.
We have 2 new Achievements for this update:
Kingdom Crusher: Complete a Kingdom Story 5 times in a single Legends Reborn event.
If I Were a Rich Man: Collect 300 Kingdom currency in a single Legends Reborn event.
We have added a filter for Hero Classes for players to use when creating new teams. Players will be able to filter Hero Classes by:
Color (based on the Color the Class gives bonus Magic to)
Kingdom
Troop Type
Talent Tree
We have added a new Heroic Gem to the game for a future Campaign.
We have made a change that when a player is banned from chat, it will also prevent them from changing their guild's message.
We have rotated around Warbands so that Armored Legion and Entangled Woods have replaced Fire and Fury, and Goblin Gang Warbands.
We have fixed an issue where the Auto Play Mode button has no functionality when a Gem Storm information popup is invoked.
We have fixed an issue where some players were seeing the Deep Delve UI with black box around them.
We have fixed an issue where some players with different aspect ratios were not able to access the button to purchase more Delve Attempts.
We have fixed an assortment of smaller issues.
6.3 Update
Deep Delves are a new way to play Delves in unlocked Factions.
When an existing Faction has a weekend event, a new Deep Delve Map will be released. This allows Deep Delves to then become available for this Faction.
Deep Delves have a cost of 2 Delve Energy + 10,000 Gold to run
A Faction must be at Delve level 100 or higher to be able to be upgraded to a Deep Delve.
Deep Delves are an empowered version of a Faction Delve, with a few differences:
Deep Delves start at a higher treasure multiplier compared to regular Delves.
Deep Delves guarantees a special new room that only appears in Deep Delves, the Gnome's Treasure Room. (more on this below).
The Gnome Treasure is a special room which will randomly spawn in a Deep Delve (so it can appear in any location except for the Starting Room and Boss Room).
This room will spawn a random Gnome that will give loot (like a regular random Gnome spawn in battles). The Gnome is unknown until players enter the battle.
As Deep Delves requires 2 Delve Attempts to play, we have added a new Delve Attempt purchase offer that players can access from the Delve menu.
This offer gives 3 Delve Attempts for Gems, starting at 50 Gems. However each time it is purchased per day the Gem cost will increase.
The Gem cost will reset daily.
We have expanded the Treasure Hoard in Factions.
Starting at Treasure Hoard Level 100+, players will now unlock a potion at set levels to aid them in Delves for that Faction.
At Treasure Hoard Level 200 players will unlock a Potion of Power and will unlock further stacks of the Potion of Power every 25 levels after that.
These potions are identical to the ones you unlock in Shop-Tiers in a regular event.
Potion of Explosion, Potion of Rejuvenation and Potion of Power can stack with the potions that can be unlocked during a Faction Assault event within a Faction.
Players can view all their unlocked potions from the Level tab in the Treasure Hoard menu.
Quest Conversations have had a visual upgrade to a new comic book style
Conversations will now autoplay through the sequences.
Players can still click to speed ahead to the next part or use the skip button to skip the conversation.
Over time we will make further changes to conversations with different conversation layouts, and add a wider range of characters into the story, using the existing Troops that have not previously been available until now.
We will be retiring our previous New Adventurer, Expert Adventurer and Master Adventurer Starter bundles, and introducing new Starter Sets for newer players in the Adventurer's Path Hero Shop.
Each Starter Set has a series of 3 offers that players can purchase
Offer 1: This offer gives an Epic Troop and resources to help level it
Offer 2: This offer gives a new Weapon specially designed to work with the Epic Troop, as well as resources to help upgrade it
Offer 3: This offer gives a new Pet that will give bonus Skill Points to the Epic Troop. (More on this new Pet ability below).
There will be 6 new Starter Sets that will be available, though only 3 will be available at a time.
Starter Sets will display in the Adventurer's Path Hero Shop for 3 Days before they will change to a different Starter Set.
Starter Sets will remember where players were up to, so if they didn't purchase an offer the first time around they will have a chance to purchase an offer at a later date when that set reappears.
If a player purchases all 6 Starter Sets, they will get new Soul offers they can purchase to further upgrade their Troops.
Older Players who do not have access to the Adventurer's Path Hero Shop will be able to craft the new Weapons from these packs in the Soulforge during Weekly events in that Kingdom. They will also be able to find the new Pet as a possible random drop from Pet Gnomes.
* Please note that PlayStation may not have all starter Sets available when the update releases.
As part of the New Player Starter Sets, we have added a new ability that Pets can have - Individual Troop Buff.
This ability will give bonus points to all Skills on a single Troop (and only that Troop). Upgrading the Pet will increase the amount of points given to that Troop.
We have made some improvements to the Kingdom Slayer Weapons
Kingdom Slayer Weapons will now not only deal double damage to enemies from that Kingdom but to any enemy when fighting a battle within that Kingdom.
Most Kingdom Slayer Weapons have had a visual update to their weapon art. These include:
Pistol of Adana
Tome of Karakoth
Choker of Zhul'Kari
Staff of the Fields
Bow of Thorns
Staff of Whitehelm
Lute of the Vale
Scythe of Khetar
Spear of the Pride
Shield of the Edge
Staff of the Wild
Idol of Darkstone
Scythe of the Blight
Chalice of the Peaks
Pendant of the Empire
Torc of the Dragon
Flintlock of Blackhawk
Runestone of Silverglade
Javelin of Suncrest
Aegis of Urskaya
Trident of Merlantis
Staff of Bright Forest
Scythe of Sin
To help promote the Kingdom Slayer Weapon bundles to newer players while they are playing a Kingdom's questline, the new players will see a pop up on the World Map for the Kingdom Slayer Bundle where they can purchase the bundle.
We have added an entirely new way to play out a battle. Autoplay will allow an AI-controlled player to take over the game for you in certain game modes.
Autoplay will let an AI play for the player within a battle.
Autoplay will be available for everyone to use.
Autoplay can only be used in Explore and Challenge battles.
Autoplay can be activated in a battle from the drop down menu that also has Chat and Game Speed.
While Autoplay is running the game speed will be locked to 1.5x speed.
Autoplay will only run for 1 battle so will need to be selected again for the next battle.
Players can cancel Autoplay by tapping on the Pause button in the top left corner.
This button replaces the drop down arrow button while Autoplay is running.
We have 2 new Achievements for this update:
Delved Too Deep: Complete a Deep Delve.
Power Overwhelming: Unlock a Potion of Power in a Treasure Hoard in 1 Faction.
We have made some changes to Faction Assault weekend events for released Factions. They will now release a new Troop for the Faction.
These Troops will be available from the Event Shop at first but will then release in Chaos Portals 4 weeks after the event.
We have merged the Gold, Souls and Treasure Map 15-Day Subscriptions into a single subscription called Daily Loot.
When purchased Players will gain an immediate bonus of a Medal of Orpheus, 50,000 Gold, 1,400 Souls, and 6 Treasure Maps
Each day players will receive 20,000 Gold, 700 Souls and 3 Treasure Maps
Daily Loot subscriptions will cost $19.99
This new Daily Loot Subscription will not be available on Switch, but we will be looking to add it in a future Update.
We have made an improvement to the Adventurer's Path > Hero Level so that when entering the menu, it will default to the player's current progress through it.
We have added a button to Adventurer's Path > Hero Level > Feature Pop up, so once the feature is unlocked the player can use that button to go directly to that feature from that menu.
We have visually updated the New Hero Pass Purchase popup.
We have adjusted the difficulty in Kingdom Quest battles.
We have fixed an issue where players over level 100 were still seeing the Adventurer's Path button on the World Map when they shouldn't have.
We have fixed an issue where Bomb Gems' explosion would trigger when the Gem was removed.
We have fixed an assortment of smaller issues.
GEMS OF WAR 2022 ROADMAP
Greetings, Adventurers!
As we approach Gems of War’s 8th anniversary, we have some exciting things planned for the game and thought it would be great to share them with our community: the long-time battle-tested warriors, the enthusiastic new recruits, and all those in between.
The graphic below is a small window into our development schedule, showing our best guesses at when updates will release, as well as the names of some of the features in those updates, and the special events we have planned. It doesn’t go into too much detail (yet!), but as each update approaches, we‘ll release more sneak peeks of what’s to come.
Okay… This might just leave you wanting more, and the image below has names that are often a bit more about the theme of an update, rather than details of its contents, so here are a few extra hints about what to expect in version 6.3, Depths Below.
The Depths Below will feature some improvements to how we can interact with Delves in the Underworld, including some expansions for the Treasure Hoard, and plans for adding extra troops (and maps!) to existing factions. There’s more too, along with our continued overhaul and upgrade to the game’s UI.
So we hope that has whetted your appetites a little, and we can’t wait to share more with you in the coming months.
6.2 Update
Some mischievous mimics have sneakily sneaked their way into Explore Battles….
We have added several new Heroic Gems in this update. Some of these we will reveal in future Campaigns, New Kingdoms, or Special Events.
During Updates in 2022 we will be giving the UI in Gems of War a Visual Update.
As part of this in the 6.2 Update, we have updated the Chest Menu.
We have 2 new Achievements for this update:
6.1 Update
We have made some improvements to the Soulforge for all levels:
To celebrate the release of the 6.1 Update, we will be temporarily increasing the chance to encounter the Cursed Gnome in Explores (outside of Gnome-a-Palooza) for the next 7 Days starting this Thursday.
We have added a new Heroic Gem that players will encounter when facing off against the Cursed Gnome, along with some of the new content that can be crafted from the new Soulforge levels.
We have 2 new Achievements for this update:
The new Deathknight Armor Bundle will not be available on Switch until January 2022.
6.0 Update
The Kingdom Pass is a new event that runs when we release a new Kingdom.
We have added a new type of event to the game - Journey.
With the introduction of the Kingdom Pass, we will begin to introduce new Kingdoms and content for players to unlock. As mentioned above, these New Kingdoms will have several events which will serve to introduce new content to players over the Kingdom Pass. This includes:
Our first new Kingdom, Nexus, will be released in a few weeks so please keep an eye out for it's announcement.
We have 2 new Achievements for this update:
5.6 Update
5.6 UPDATE
We have introduced a new special event, Gnome-a-Palooza.
Gnome-a-Palooza is a timed event lasting 15 minutes.
Gnome-a-Palooza can be started by crafting in the Soulforge, after collecting 4 unique Verses.
These Verses are only dropped by the 4 members of the Gnome band, Mana Surge, Cindi Savagelips, Freddi Fretfiddler, Hoagi Humbucker and Baz Bonebeater.
These Gnomes will crash battles in a similar way to regular Treasure Gnomes.
Each Gnome will drop 1 of the 4 Verses, so players will need to find and kill all 4 to get enough Verses to craft Gnome-a-Palooza.
Once Gnome-a-Palooza has started, a new music track will play for the duration of the event. Also, a timer will display on the World Map, showing the remaining time left for the Gnome-a-Palooza event.
While Gnome-a-Palooza is active, 4 random Gnomes will appear in all PvP, Quest, Challenge, and Explore Battles.
Also, while Gnome-a-Palooza is active, all gold earned from battles is doubled.
Gnome-a-Palooza only applies to the person who crafts it (so it is not shared by anyone else).
If you craft Gnome-a-Palooza, while Gnome-a-Palooza is running, the time will stack.
There is a known issue where the Gnome-a-Palooza timer will not display if it runs for more than 1 hour (you’d have to craft 5 at once for this to occur, so not very likely).
There is a known Issue where the enemy Hero is not replaced in PVP during Gnome-a-Palooza, however Gnome rewards are still being given like normal (as if the Hero was replaced).
To ensure that the Mana Surge Gnomes will always give a verse, they do not have chance to give a Vault Key (even during Vault Events).
Mana Surge Gnomes will be added as a possible drops to Cedric’s & King Cedric’s loot at weekly reset next week. This gives time for players to update their game to the 5.6 update.
As part of the celebration for 5.6 release, we will be running a special Gnome Vault event for 4 days starting daily reset on Thursday July 13th (AEST).
We have added several new Heroic Gems in this update. Some of these we will reveal in future Campaigns or special Events.
With the introduction of Heroic Gems, we wanted to prevent the rare case where the board gets locked up without any available moves. We have added a board reset to the puzzle game. If there are no available moves on the board, the board will be completely cleared and refilled with new Gems. All troops will also be completely Mana Drained (even if they are normally immune to mana drain), to prevent any spell combination that could cause the board to lock up in an endless loop.
We have introduced 2 new Warbands for you to try out, Dark Assassins and Poison Fangs. We will be removing 2 Warbands – Armored Legion and Entangled Woods, as the new Warbands will be replacing them.
Armored Legion and Entangled Woods will return at a future time.
To ensure that everyone has a chance to update their game, the new Warbands will be released at Daily Reset on Thursday AEST. This helps prevent the new content causing issues for players still on 5.5.1 version.
We have made some changes so that Lycanthropy should behave more like the spell Transform effect.
Lycanthropy will now halve the level of the Troop when it is transformed.
We have changed the visual effect when Lycanthropy transforms a troop. As the previous version was causing confusion due to the similarities to devour.
We have added a new sound effect for Lycanthropy when a troop is inflicted with Lycanthropy and when Lycanthropy triggers on the troop.
We have made changes so if a Valraven or random Gnome is transformed by Lycanthropy, they will still give their rewards.
We have made changes so if an Enemy required for a Campaign Task is transformed by Lycanthropy, it will still count as a kill for the Task.
We have added 2 new Achievements for this update (applies to Steam, Xbox One, PS4, and Android only)
The Rolling Gnomes – Craft a Gnome-a-Palooza Event. Mic Drop – Earn a Verse from a Mana Surge Band Gnome.
With Gnomes causing mischief all over Krystara, they have caused the first time Gem Purchase bonus to be reset, allowing everyone to take advantage of it again.
The Skip Button for Campaign Tasks should now display the gem cost on the button.
Players will now be able to select and view popup help or information for different rewards on the Warband Booster Pack menu.
We have made some changes to Uber Doomstorm so it has it’s correct graphics for while the Storm is active, and adjust the chance of an Uber Doomskull appearing.
We have added a new Storm, Howlstorm, that will increase the chance of a Lycanthropy Gem appearing while it is active.
Like Uber Doomstorm, this storm can currently only be conjured by spells or traits that create a random storm.
We have fixed an issue where Doomskull damage was sometimes calculated incorrectly in complex gem matches.
We have fixed an issue where Create Gem spells that target Doomskulls, or Uber Doomskulls were just creating Skulls.
We have fixed an issue where Players were unable to equip a weapon card by dragging once the card is removed from the team by selecting the remove button.
We have fixed an issue when a new Event Medal’s graphic would have a display issue when they were equipped over an old event medal.
We have fixed an issue where the background for War Cache or War Hoard in the Daily Deal did not fit correctly.
We have fixed an issue where Troops in Advent Calendars were not displaying in the ‘Today’s Offer’ reward section.
We have fixed an issue where a Tiered Offer’s stock would display as restored after purchasing all stock from one of the offers.

5.5.1 Hot Fix (Patch Notes)
We have released a hot fix for the 5.5 Update to address the following issues:
Lycanthropy caused the game to crash when it triggers on a Hero
This issue has been fixed but we have delayed reverting changes to Lycanthropy and Essence of Evil until early next week. This will give players a chance to download the hot-fix.
Create Gem spells that can target Skulls would created invisible Gems
We have fixed this issue. Like Lycanthropy, we will be reverting changes to The Devoted, Justice, Loyalty, Courage, Humility, Sacrifice and Honor early next week to give players a chance to get the hot-fix.
There is a known issue where if a Doomskull or Uber Doomskull is targeted, it will create Skulls rather than those Gems. We will have a fix for this in the 5.6 update.
This hot-fix will be available on Steam, iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch.
