For the past months we have been updating the game but now is the time for the big one, a time for big changes. 2.0 is here. Please, welcome Genetic Disaster: Mutations.
Mutations are powerups and abilities you can put on your character. They can be looted during any run you make. Some of them are common quality and other are rare or even legendary so you probably want to explore every inch of the map. Then you will be able to choose them in the lobby before every game: Move speed increased for close allies, Improving ghost damages, fire rate increased… more than 30 different mutations are waiting for you..
After bosses, you'll find 3 upgrades that are different for every character. Increasing Bunker’s shield size, Panic’s stun zone or explosion after each teleportation for Sneaky... every upgrade costs crystals so choose wisely!
Founded in all kind of chests and sometimes on enemies they can be saved and become permanent (even between games). You’ll need them to buy mutations or upgrades.
What are you going to do? Banking them for another game, or use them instantly for an upgrade?
A bank is a rare room that you can find in any level. If you get a game over before banking the crystals, you will lose them.
There are now 3 differents difficulty mods:
Easy mode: a walk in the park with less aggressive and skilled enemies
Normal mode: it’s the level of difficulty you have experienced so far in Genetic Disaster.
Hard mode: Bigger, faster and stronger enemies… but more crystals to find. Be brave.
It’s a PvP mode, a game mode from 2 to 4 players in an arena. No guns but only stools and some random power ups. People having been hurt and friendships have been broken during development. Beware.
5 new enemies have been created by the mad scientist and each of them got is very special: area of effect shooter, crazy-gatling-gunner-shooter, melee sprinter… They will definitely give you a hard time.

So basically you now have to run in hard mode through the levels with new stupidly overpowered enemies searching for crystals to buy the insane mutations and have a chance to defeat the bosses.

First boss makeover!
His bombs take more time to explode
He’s faster and keeps his chains attack for the second phase
He can rebuild his shield while teleporting
Tanks have less hp
Hugeeee revive feedback (you won't miss it!)
Ghosts can now use levers and pressure plates to help allies
You can’t revive a friend with less than one heart (you have to offer half of your life)
Cycles duration and enemies HP depend now on the number of player
Bombs are invulnerable to bullets
Throw an object on a barrel will make it.. EXPLODE
You can carry a bomb, it won't explode in your hand
You can throw an object with A or E too
Need to spam a bit more in order to fill the stun gauge
Legendary weapons are now yellow, rare weapons are violet
Menu interaction fixed:
You can’t lose the focus with a gamepad

Panic : Ability reworked : his AOE is bigger and stuns every enemies inside. He’s more controllable while running
Devil : Under ability power, he destroys everything, even objects
Tweaks :
Porcupines movements are smarter
We've added some brains cells on enemies : They target players in priority and stop commit suicide
Crab Double Bullet animation is faster. 2 times faster :D
Tanks (Level 4 monsters) shoot 2 times faster
Basic Crabs move faster
Enemies projectiles are more readable
Ghosts have now a contour like usable object when an ally is near
Sneaky : He’s immune while teleporting
His teleportation is 3 hundredth of seconds faster (GAME CHANGING)
Panic has a feedback when his ability is recharged
Fire FX has been accentuate : Burn, baby!
Some weapons : add balance and FX
GameOver animation is a bit more long, so you can enjoy it :D

Bombs caught at the last seconds before blowing, get extra time before exploding when launching them
Performances upgraded for environments 2 and 3
Double turret (heading bullets) can't be interrupted anymore

It's patch day! Version 1.0.2393
Hey mates,
we have released a second patch fixing many issues from tiny insignificant glitches to critical bugs preventing you from enjoying the game. Most of the work is about the multiplayer, first boss and the weapon's distribution (rom now you shouldn't be able anymore to loot a legendary wepons at level 1....that was kinda broken).
There is still issues, problems, bugs and things to improve so we are working on it in between familly diners and press interview.

Genetic Disaster is released
The game is finally out, right on time for Christmas. Everything is ready for you to have fun with your buddies all night long.
Since the early access many things have changed like the new bosses, new balancing, new weapons... to offer you the best experience possible.
We hope you'll enjoy and bring your friends into the madness of the game.
We have been forced to release the game a bit early due to financial issues. We are indies and this means we are living and working on our money for the past 18 months...
There is one god damned bug that is crippling the game: the online multiplayer has synchronization problems. We are working on it, at least the the programmer is, while the rest of the team is preparing the first free update.
