V1.32 - New User Requested Options!

Hello Boxers,

We hope you've had a blast playing our senior captstone, Geometry Boxer. We've reached 5,000 first time downloads and over 7,700 license grants. Our little dev team couldn't imagine reaching so many eager players, and it's all thanks to you - the community.

With that in mind, several Steam reviews and Youtubers who kindly critiqued our game offered valuable feedback and we've tried to take it in stride. With this update, we introduce the following features, by popular demand:

  • Options Menu with the following realtime features (no more exiting the game to change settings)...
  • Resolution controls
  • Fullscreen/Windowed Toggle
  • Graphics Quality Settings
  • Music Volume Slider (can also be accessed in the pause menu)

In addition to these much asked for graphics and audio settings, there have been some tweaks performed to the Survival Mode, namely...

  • Skyscraper had significant navmeshing improvements
  • Enemies who get permanently stuck or glitch through the world are deleted after several seconds to ensure game progresses

That's all for now Geo-Boxers. Here's to the next 5,000 downloads! Thanks for playing and for the feedback.

V1.31 Hotfix

Hello Geometry Boxers,

Yesterday we debuted Geometry Boxer publically at EAE Launch in Salt Lake City's University of Utah. While the event was a wonderful success for our team and all the other student teams, we took it as an opportunity to watch for bugs and other problems to solve.

With that in mind, we managed to fix the following:

- Coop camera zooming was simply broken
- Coop reset would not restore player's heatlh

We hope this quick fix makes your coop experience a little more stable.

Thanks for playing and thanks for your feedback!

Steam Release! New Arena Mode Added in V1.3

We are so glad to bring Geometry Boxer to Steam! It has been a long journey for our development team this year, turning Geometry Boxer from a concept pitched in a classroom to an actual student game and we are excited to hear what you think.

Geometry Boxer has been released on Itch.io for about 2 months now, and we've used that time to bug fix and add extra content. New to the Steam release in particular is an Arena Survival mode where you and a friend can fight a never ending horde of enemy bots - see how long you can last!

We look forward to hearing from you, the players, about our game. Our development team is comprised of 15 artists, engineers, and producers from the University of Utah who love making games, and we can only get better and make improvements with your feedback. We hope you enjoy Geometry Boxer as much as we enjoyed making it.
