Jacks back! Ghostrunner 2 has been officially revealed! The sequel to the IGN nomination Action Game of the Year has been shrouded in secrecy until now, but we have some exciting details to share with you that are sure to get your adrenaline pumping.
Ghostrunner 2 explores the world of Ghostrunner, with the player visiting more places, not only Dharma Tower. The game's story takes place one year after the events of the first game. The people of Dharma Tower are rebuilding, commerce begins to flow, and there is hope for the future. However, with the Keymaster dead, a power vacuum develops with deadlier enemies looking to conquer Dharma tower.
Ghostrunner 2 offers everything you loved about the original, but with even more exciting features. While the first game certainly had some challenging bosses, the sequel takes it to the next level. Get ready to face off against some of the toughest opponents you've ever encountered.
The new dialog system allows diving deeper into the lore and plot of GR2. Jack can interact with NPCs that are his friends from the Climbers faction. Plus, there is now a central HQ base of operations where Jack can take a break from missions.
With enhanced gameplay mechanics, more levels to explore, and epic boss fights, Ghostrunner 2 promises to be an exciting and thrilling adventure. With the new skills and powerful Ultimate abilities, players can be more creative during encounters and make the most demanding encounters more accessible. For instance, players can now block projectiles and attacks using the block feature, with each attack having its own cost in stamina. Additionally, there are new skills, such as Shadow, which allows Jack to trick enemies by leaving his copy on the casting spot and entering cloak mode.
Level Design is more versatile, and most of the arenas have multiple ways that can be played. There are many new enemy types, some of the old ones are also redone to fit the new gameplay better, giving players more freedom in choosing how to defeat the most challenging foes.
Cybervoids are utilized better, with the player having more freedom and fun time playing those sections, as the movement is non-limited as it was in Ghostrunner, and there are sometimes combat sections to provide a good intermission from regular levels.
One of the most exciting new features of Ghostrunner 2 is the addition of the motorbike! Some levels that feature the motorbike are far more complex and open world than typical Ghostrunner levels. This means that you'll have to use your wits and your skills to navigate through these levels, and you'll have to be on your toes at all times.
The game progression system has been completely redone, allowing players to experiment in various ways. The interactive environment also includes exploding barrels, destructible walls, and more, which can be used by the player. The game now offers more ways to play, not just the campaign. This means that you can climb on the leaderboards and compete against your friends in new and exciting ways.

The Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge will be live on Twitch and YouTube on November 13 from 9AM to 3PM PST. Each participant will be hosting their own streams during the event.

Full details for the LGC will be revealed during our 2nd anniversary Ghostrunner stream. The stream will be live on Twitch October 27 at 10AM PDT. One More Level will be joining us for the anniversary stream and we will be covering many exciting community happenings and there will even be some Ghostrunner 2 details revealed!
The LGC qualification phase has been live for several months and we have decided to expand the qualification period until October 9 at 12PM PDT.

Now that the LGC qualification phase is over, we are planning to have an LGC Wild Card event on October 23 from 9am-3pm PDT live on Twitch and YouTube.
Wild Card details (Updated 10/21/22)
* The Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge takes place live on October 23 from 9am to 3pm PDT on Twitch and YouTube. * The Wild Card event is open to everyone. All participants will need to use version 3 of the WaveMode Mod detailed here: https://github.com/Dmgvol/Ghostrunner-Mods/blob/main/LogicMods/WaveModV3/wavemod3.md * Full ToS for the Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge are available here: https://505.games/LGC * Wild Card participants must play live and can't used prerecorded footage. * All those who are participating in the Wild Card must make their stream name "LGC Wild Card" * All official rules related to the LGC Qualification stage apply to the Wild Card. However, all participants have from 9AM PDT to 3PM PDT on October 23 to do their best to complete all 35 rounds of version 3 with only 3 lives. * The 3 Wild Card participants who perform the best will earn a seat for the Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge. Performance will be based on who completes the 35 rounds the fastest. If there are less than 3 participants who completed the 35 waves than we will base qualification to also include who made it to the furthest wave in the fastest amount of time. * After the Wild Card ends we will review all available footage to determine who are the 3 participants who qualified for the LGC. We will announce the 3 Wild Card winners during the 2nd Anniversary Stream, but we will contact winners before the announcement. * All those participating in the LGC Wild Card event must agree to permit 505 Games to potentially use footage of their Wild Card stream gameplay in our 2nd Anniversary stream. During our 2nd Anniversary Stream on October 27 we will have a segment where we will show some awesome footage from the Wild Card event. * During the Ghostrunner 2nd Anniversary Stream on October 27 we will provide additional LGC details. * During the Wild Card event, as long as a game begins before 3PM PDT then it will be permitted to count and the results of that game will be allowed. However, there is a 60 minute time limit that ends at 4PM PDT. After 4PM PDT then progress will be frozen at that point in regards to qualification. * Any Wild Card participants caught cheating will face community disciplinary action which could include a ban from all future Ghostrunner events.
Reminder: All Wild Card participants will need need to host a live stream on Twitch or YouTube where they will attempt to progress as far as possible into version 3 of the WaveMode Mod we have been using for the LGC qualification. The 3 participants who progress the furthest within the 3 lives will win a seat at the LGC and get a set of collectible pins. If there are less than 3 participants who complete the Mod in the Wild Card then qualification will also be based on who got to the furthest wave the fastest. Participants of the Wild Card event will have unlimited tries within the 6 hour period.

The time has come for the ultimate challenge to determine who is worthy to earn the title of The Greatest Ghostrunner in the Cybervoid!
505 Games is excited to announce the "Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge" AKA LGC.
***Disclaimer: The below contest is absolutely brutal and you should only attempt it if you truly believe you have what is takes to be among the best gamers in the world. (Pardon the ultra hype, but you have been warned)***
Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge Info:
From now until August 28, 2022 we will be hosting the qualifying stage of the LGC. During the qualifying stage of the LGC we will be providing the first 25 qualifiers with an exclusive set of the following 505 Games collectible pins. Each pin has a serial number, and we will not be selling them!
All those who qualify will receive an invite to participate in the Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge. After the conclusion of the qualifying stage, we will announce the details of the Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge which will feature incredible prizes!
How to qualify for the Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge:
The Ghostrunner Mod community is truly incredible, and we love to shout out modders who go up and beyond in creating brilliant Mods. DmgVol & LongerWarrior have recently created Version 3 of their WaveMode Mod and this version will be used for the qualifying stage.

To qualify for the Legendary Ghostrunner Challenge you will need to complete all 35 waves of Version 3 of their WaveMode Mod, without bugs, modifications, or 3rd party programs, while playing with the 3 lives setting live on Twitch or YouTube. Each qualifying run must start on Wave 1. The qualifying run can’t be pre-recorded. The qualifying run must take place on the Horizon map. If less than 25 participants qualify then we will transition to a closest to qualify standard until there are 25 qualified participants. The closest to qualify standard will be based on who reached the furthest wave. In the event of a tiebreaker due to too many participants reaching the same wave then qualification will be based on who reached that wave the fastest.
