We hope you enjoyed your short time aboard the ghostship in VR and look forward to hearing about your experience in our "what did you think about VR" thread.
If you missed it we've got lots of pictures from the expo and posted the list of raffle winners. If you won and weren't at the drawing to receive your prize at the event we'll be contacting you Tuesday Oct 14th to send out the game codes and arrange postage for the other items. Congratulations!
For those of you on the English Isle, or who can get there by plane, boat, or Chunnel, we've got great news! There's going to be a Ghostship booth at the Play Expo in Manchester UK Oct 11th & 12th where you can play Ghostship Aftermath in VIRTUAL REALITY, the way the developer intended. (Warning: It is so intense some people have fallen over coffee tables)
You'll also have a chance to preview the prequel, CDF Ghostship, which will be going Steam Early Access at the end of this month. While Ghostship Aftermath was designed as a survival horror game from the ground up for VR, CDF Ghostship was made specifically as an FPS for non-VR, perfect to play on one of the 42" screens!
Also at the show (and only available at the show) you'll be able to get raffle tickets to score some loot. Ever look at that zero-G poster in the bathroom and wish you had one? Well now you've got a chance to get one signed by the developer. You could also win headphones or a copy of one of the games, or maybe even win your very own Oculus Rift DK1 AND Ghostship Aftermath!
So come visit the Ghostship booth, and since I can't actually be there take lots of pictures for me!
Guides for SWAG!
What sort of insanity is this? The kind you find floating on a ghostship of course! Ghostship Aftermath is a big game, with lots of items, locations, enemies, and possible storyline branches. With all this stuff adding up to 70+ hours worth of content (judging by My Mate Monty's playtime), writing a guide for it is a task almost as daunting as surviving the Ghostship itself. So like Dr. Riggs says, "Get in, get out, and get paid." We will be giving away a limited edition Ghostship T-shirt to the authors of best 10 guides posted in the community hub by October 23rd 2014, with the best one receiving a shirt signed by the game's dev!
The new update is now available, this is a large update with the addition of the Hassle Free DLC.
This large update will be the last update until Halloween when we release the Halloween content and implement more improvements. The size of the full game has increased and the new structure should make all future updates much smaller than before.
What is in the New update?
VR version now updated to 1.3 (the same as the NonVR version excluding menu changes and additions as the VR main menu is very different.)
NonVR
Restructured a lot of the base so all future NonVR updates should now be much smaller.
Fixed some an AI from getting stuck in deck 6, operations
Fixed Jacks Keycard/Cryo objectives looping
2nd achievement Test (will they work this time?)
Hassle Free DLC
The Hassle Free DLC is FREE(Yup, I just said FREE), this DLC is a separate build and launcher for a number of reasons such as a separate save/resume, Both NonVR and VR in the single build and much more. The hassle Free DLC is also ideal for learning the ships layout. This DLC uses a similar menu system to the NonVR version and has its own options etc. The manual has been updated to include more information of this Free DLC.
Manual Update
The manual has now been updated, the update includes Key updates in controls. The Hassle Free DLC information and Main Menu changes from 1.01.

MR G Livestream of Ghostship Aftermath Tonight!
Mr G is doing a live stream as quoted below. The Dev - Shaun will also be on as a guest to give some invaluable realtime tips. be sure to check it out if you are online, thanks.
Hi im planning to live stream my first attempt at GhostshipAftermath after work at 2 am british summer time (and if what i have read is any indication my second, third and fourth attempt lol)
to find out what time that is where you, the unknown reader of this post, are here is a count down
http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?p0=136&iso=20140827T02
The live stream will be aired over on twitch at http://www.twitch.tv/mr_g_plays/
Some important notes,
I will be keeping half an eye on the chat and responding but understand in this type of game its easy to get too drawn into the game and miss the chat (twitch also adds a 20 second delay from what happens to me and what you see/hear)
Any loud girly screams you may hear are clearly from my cat and not me...honest...
Hope to see you guys in the stream!
Reading this and the timer has expired? cant make the livestream due to lack of flux capacitor and/or a chair that can rotate at the required 88mph for time travel? dont worry i will be recording too and uploading it to youtube (a link will apear here in a few days link: _____________________ )
Any tips greatly recieved (no spoilers though), will be checking this thread periodicly during work :)
