Support for New Languages


In-game texts have been localized for 3 new additional languages.

Language option menu has been added!


Languages can now be changed from the in-game options.
Even if your steam client is set to a language different from the game,
“GIGA WRECKER” will prioritize the in-game language settings.

  • By not activating the beacon at the City of Decadence:Central area, and returning to a previous area's beacon will get you stuck.

GIGA WRECKER was chosen "GAME of the month" for July in Made with unity!

"Boss-Rush" update commemorating the summer sale!!

It now has a new function, “Astra Rush”!



    With this function, you can play a boss-rush mode, where you can battle against all the bosses in a row!
    If you go leftward from “Region 00”, the first area of “Vimukti, Fortress of the Flying Nymphs”, there will be a door. Going through the door, you will find a machine. Check it and you can play the boss-rush mode.
    You need to finish the main story to play “Astra Rush”. If you haven't finished the main story, you won't find anything in the room.

The balance of the game has been adjusted!



  • The difficulty of the boss battles in the main story has been lowered.
    The bosses in “Astra Rush” remain as strong as before!
    Enjoy the tough fights against the strong bosses!
  • The default value of the player's HP has been changed from 5 to 10.

Detected bugs have been fixed as below;



  • Fixed a bug that there were cases that achievement ”I'm the master key” somehow cannot be obtained.
  • Fixed a bug that massive amount of achievements can be obtained at the start of custom campaign.

GIGA WRECKER was exhibited at A 5th of BitSummit!



We exhibited GIGA WRECKER at A 5th of BitSummit , which was held at Miyakomesse in Kyoto on May 20 and 21.



The event was a great success with people waiting in line to play the game at the demonstration table.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who attended our exhibition.

About 『GIGA WRECKER』

『GIGA WRECKER』, which from August 2016 was repeatedly fine tuned with feedback from users through Steam Early Access, is a 2D action game in which Reika, a girl who has the ability to manipulate rubble, explores a world dominated by legions of fiendish robots.
Game Freak, the company behind the "Pokémon" series, did the development, and welcomed Asagiri as the graphic concept designer and Shinji Hosoe of SuperSweep co.,ltd. as the sound producer. Please be sure to enjoy this innovative game play that fuses attractive visuals and BGM, as well as action and puzzles.

Beta-P1 patch is now available, including achievements!

There are 27 achievements in total.
If you have already fulfilled conditions for certain achievements in the previous versions,
those will be unlocked at the point you load your save data.



Other updates


Game controllers other than the Xbox360 controller can be used now!
We have tested XboxOne Controller, DUALSHOCK®4, HORIPAD3 controllers,
and almost all inputtable keys can be set to use in the game.
(Certain functions such as vibrations are not available.)

Game adjustments


We have made adjustments with certain boss battles.
We have made adjustments with certain area designs.
The adjusted area's save data (such as broken terrain) will be reset.

Bug fixes


We have fixed the sound volume when switching areas.
We have fixed the issue where the HUD is visible in other UI and visual effects.
We have fixed the drawing order of the rubber ball.

Director's comment


The game's development is almost complete!
We are now working on debug and reflecting requests and reports
which we have received from players into the game.
Now achievements are set, so the game should look more like a complete title!
Now we have prospect on the release of the full version, so we should start opening information.
We are planning to release the full version around the beginning of February 2017,
so please wait a little more, and thank you for your continuous support on Early Access!

Testing Achievements!

Currently the development team is testing achievement applications.
This may look like players can now unlock achievements in GIGA WRECKER,
but until testing is complete and an update patch is applied
players cannot actually unlock these achievements yet.

■ THE STORY REACHES ITS ENDING!!
The game story has been updated with the campaign mode during Early Access, and this time it will finally conclude! What fate and future will await the main characters, Reika Rekkeiji and Amane Azuma?



■BEAT THE FINAL STAGE!
The final stage of the campaign is Vimukti, Fortress of the Flying Nymphs.
Each area is full of traps and dangers of the elite robot army, so make full use of all the skills and abilities you have acquired in the game!



■OTHER UPDATES
・Brush-ups have been made with event graphics.
・Event dialogues can be skipped.
・Difficulty of certain boss battles have been adjusted.
・The game’s loading time has been shortened and optimized.
・Other bugs and issues are fixed.

■DIRECTOR’S COMMENT
Thanks to everyone who has supported us from Early Access, now the whole story is playable in the game! First time when I reached the ending, it sure was a deeply emotional experience.

But there are still things to be done!
In the next update the game will become the final release version.
Other than game brush-ups, we are planning to localize the game for many languages.
We are continuing development, so we can reflect opinions and requests provided from players and improve the game’s quality until the final release, so we hope everyone will be looking forward and enjoy “GIGA WRECKER”!

MAP: The issue where players can go outside the area map in "Samsāra, Bloodsteel Arsenal: Construction Zone C-04"
FIX: Adjusted the weight of objects created from elastic fluid
FIX: Error message and controls becoming unresponsive in the "Create New Stage" screen
FIX: Musics not stopping in certain demo scenes
FIX: Controls becoming unresponsive when objects are moved in certain ways in the Map Editor
FIX: Controls becoming unresponsive when a Stage is deleted in the Map Editor
FIX: Switch related objects and doors not interacting properly
FIX: Steel Panels not repeling Debris Javelins properly
FIX: The skill "Unholy Blade" becoming active continuously, regardless of unlocking it or not
FIX: Changed game behaviors when canceling a test play before publishing a custom map

The game flow has changed extensively, so save data cannot be transfered from versions before the story update.
Map related updates will be applied when resetting a stage. (When activating Singularity Points etc.)

※Save data from the story update will be transferred as usual after applying these patches.
