Pricing Changes to SFW + NSFW Versions:
In order to get the SFW version of GO approved on Steam, we had to remove all sexy content, and since we are going in a more sexy direction with our games in general, it turned out there was a LOT of sexy content! They even had us remove audio soundbites. While the SFW version of GO is still a relaxing match-3 game, the true experience lies in the 18+ Wet 'n' Wild version. Therefore we have decided to change our pricing model:
Girls Overboard Base Game = $1.99
Girls Overboard Wet 'n' Wild Patch = FREE!
We are making this pricing change in order to encourage players to play the Wet 'n' Wild version.

Girls Overboard is Delayed

Even though this is only our 2nd game release, we really thought we could do it. Despite a major setback that caused us to lose an entire week of development time, we didn't give up but instead pulled some all-nighters (mainly our programmer, Bam. He really pulled through) and WE FINISHED THE GAME!
Then came the Steam review process... Since we did everything on our end to comply with Steam's terms (NSFW Rules), we had hoped we would be approved. We even based the review time on an earlier review and made plans to have time to submit again if needed. This is why we decided to move forward with the original launch timeline. However, the review time by Steam took much longer than previouslyand we lost all that extra submission time.
It was a gamble waiting for approvaluntil the actual day of launch, but the last thing I wanted to do was write this. As team leader (Din), I take full responsibility for the delay and sincerely apologize. My team has done everything on our end possible to meet today's deadline, but now it is in the hands of the Steam Review team.
We do not have an exact timeframe (hopefully next week!) on getting approved by Steam Review. As soon as we have any new information, I will share it on Discord and here. Please know we are doing everything within our power to get you to Kawaii Island so you can romance those beautiful babes! π¦
In the meantime, thankfully, we can finally show off the full thing for everyone to see β

Ahoy sailors! We are polishing the ship that is Girls Overboard real nice for y'all and has settled on a release date! But before I announce it, I want to take a moment to address some questions we have about the previous development update. π¦

You will NOT need to purchase anything in-game in order to complete relationships and unlock all the steamy Wet 'n' Wild scenes.

We want to emphasize once again, the SFW version of Girls Overboard will be FREE to play.
The team and I are basing this price on one of our favorite puzzle games, Mirror. Since we are only a three-person studio and this is our first (full-on H) game, we want Girls Overboard to gain as much attention as possible. What better way than to make it only $1.99!?

Like a drug-addicted friend, Girls Overboard has changed a lot since you last saw it. But unlike drug addiction, it changed for the better! The main reason development has taken so long is that through player feedback we have changed the gameplay into a Match-3 game!

Girls Overboard Development Update & Release Window!
Ahoy! It's been a long time in development and we apologize for the delay, but were ready to give you a huge update regarding Girls Overboard's progress!
Our team has been working extremely hard and we have tons of information to share about the current game status and our projected release window!
The following post contains information for all fans of Girls Overboard so please read the post in full!
Writing & Programming Departments
We are happy to report our creator/writer, Dinmoney has completed the story scripts for all seven characters included at launch, and they have all been proofread by our editor, Ronove. Not only that, but we have already written and reviewed the first four DLC character scripts (post-release)!
Regarding the coding side of development, our programmer, BamBam has finished all the primary dating and gameplay systems and are entering the final phase of testing. The only things left are finalizing the SFW / NSFW versions to comply with the Steam review process. Once approved by Steam we can finish the in-app purchase system!
Voice Acting & Audio Departments
Thanks to our talented voice cast we are pleased to report all the voice acting work is completely finished! We'd also like to thank our casting department and audio team, Jesika, for finding such a wonderful voice cast and balancing all the audio files.
Art Department
Our art team has been working hard to make Girls Overboard jam-packed with beautiful animated artwork! At launch, there will be 30 animated Scene Images (CGs), and over 140 different outfits to choose from. We also already have additional girls planned as DLC coming post-launch!
*Due to Steam's policy on nudity, we cannot show the full extent of animated story scenes. However, you can get an idea of the art quality!*
All the in-game artwork is completed! Each story scene will reflect the relationship status and escalate towards a climax (literally and figuratively). We are just putting User Interface at 90% because we may add visual effects, resize or tweak some menus based on final testing.
We have tons of different outfits that will not only give a variety of appearances to your favorite girls but depending on their rarity will also give you a stamina regeneration bonus. Five Star outfits will be 18+ and only available in the Wet 'n' Wild DLC patch of Girls Overboard!
There are already several girls lined up to join the datable roster of Girls Overboard as post-launch DLC. Some are native to Kawaii while some are familiar faces from far-off places!
Release Window
Girls Overboard development has taken longer than we originally planned, but the main reason for that was the decision to completely revamp the core gameplay into a Match-3 game. This was a decision we hope you will understand as it has made Girls Overboard more enjoyable to play. If you played the first demo, we're sure you will agree!
After careful consideration of the amount of work left to do, we have decided on a release date window of April 5th - April 15th, 2022. This will give us enough time to finalize the remaining tasks and pass the Steam review process.
We will be releasing another update between March 14th - March 18th, 2022 that will include a new trailer, and the exact release date.
Game Information and Pricing
At launch, Girls Overboard will be available only on Steam for PC. After release, we will work on making GO available via our website and other platforms. As well as localization/translations and a Mac version if possible.
The SFW version of Girls Overboard will be FREE to play. The 18+ Wet 'n' Wild version will be available as a DLC patch for only $1.99.
