Gladiators Online Update Notes V 1.1.4 - 4 December
Greetings community,
We're happy to tell you that we listened closely to your comments on our game and addressing several requested changes and improvements with an update tomorrow. Primarily we have adjusted the randomness of base hit chance and added primary defense, now you will always be able to hit or defend if you are in the correct state at the right time, making player skill and specific counter skills more important to winning.
The game will be in maintenance from 11:30AM CET for about 2 hrs after which you will be able to resume playing.
Changes:
Simplified gladiator attributes, you now invest into Attack and Defense
Hit chance for all gladiators increased to 100% and removed from the attributes improvement (can still be debuffed by enemy skills)
Added primary defense to each gladiator class also equal 100% (Block for Murmillo, Dodge for Retiarius, Block for Hopplomachus and Parry for Thraex) and removed from attributes improvement (can still be debuffed by enemy skills)
All gladiators secondary defenses have been adjusted depending on class and level
Removed some less attractive skills from the game and replaced them with new ones that work with the new primary defense.
Defending against a virtus attack now grants 0.5 Virtus Points to the attacker, to prevent turtling (permanent defense)
Counter attack is now also possible after a successful block
Magisters that previously increased hit chance now increase mastery instead
Consumables that previously increased hit chance now increase mastery instead
Reduced damage gain from consumables by half
Sidestep cost increased to 4 endurance to reduce OP on side stepping
Increased difficultly slightly to successfully sidestep skills by narrowing the timing window
Removed hit chance and primary defense from equipment for each class and replaced it with with other attributes depending on the class and item
Added warning popups before going into battle with a gladiator in less then ideal condition (not fully healed, skills points not spend, AP not spend)

We're happy to tell you that we listened closely to your comments on our game and addressing several requested changes today with an update.
The game will be in maintenance from (1PM CET) for about 1-2 hrs after which you will be able to resume playing.
General Changes:
Introducing Combat Rating: You will now see a combat rating based on your gladiators attributes, this is used for matchmaking and also displayed on the VS screen, this will be further iterated on to improve matchmaking in the future
Improved Equipment Textures for Free Gear on several levels
Removed Surrender Countdown, you can now give up instantly
Removed Matchmaking Countdown, players can now choose to fight AI right away
Bug Fixes:
Fixed stuck in searching for opponent / delayed AI matching
Fixed 500 server error at login due to a trainer bug for player that their trainers

Gladiators Online Minor Update Notes V 1.1.3.2 - 24 November '15
Greetings community,
While working on some of the exciting new features like the upcoming challenge mode, and our continous effort to improve critical lag and stuck in matching bugs, we have a small update today that will not require any downtime so you can keep playing without interruption.
Change List:
Added in-combat ping meter (upper right corner of the screen), so you can tell if combat issues are due to a bad connection / lag or regular bugs and let us know in your bug reports.
Added additional logging so we can collect more intel on combat delays / issues.

Gladiators Online Update Notes V 1.1.3 - 20 November
Greetings community,
We're happy to tell you that we listened closely to your comments on our game and addressing several requested changes today with an update.
The game will be in maintenance from (1PM CET) for about 1-2 hrs after which you will be able to resume playing.
Gameplay Changes:
New camera angle, you can now fight in third person (old camera is still available via the settings menu)
Manual Surrender, the auto surrender range has been removed, now it's up to you to choose when to give up.
Balancing Changes:
Endurance fix for Murmillo Class (was too high for attack and defense)
Removed ludus tier restrictions for staff members. Now you can hire all staff members for silver as well.
Increased highest risk contracts rewards from levels 2 to 7 by 20%
Increased sell price of items to 50% of their normal cost (making it easier for players to retain enough silver)
Removed ludus tier restriction increased prices for equipment on higher level (prices now remain the same regardless of tier)
Bug Fixes:
Fixed several gladiator stuck in fighting bugs
Fixed gladiator position issues that leads to perceived lag
Fixed matchmaking bug when searching for AI
Fixed error when players bought level 2 doctore and could not train

Gladiators Online Update Notes V 1.1.2 - 13 November, Maintenance from 3PM CET
Dear Community,
We're very happy to tell you that we listened closely to your comments on our game. Today we are launching an important fix that will address one of the most dreaded combat related bugs that has been hampering the game play so far: out of sync attacks and defenses that are causes "late defense" messages when they should not happen.
The game will be in maintenance from now on (3PM CET) for about 1-2 hrs after which you will be able to resume playing.
Change-list:
- FIXED: Defense is timed too slow on the combat servers so that the players sees a lot of “Defense too Late” issues while raising the defenses should have worked for him
- FIXED: AI can stop fighting in offline battles after both players disconnect / quit, resulting in stuck in fighting gladiator
- FIXED: Several 100 gladiators stuck in fighting (pls contact us via the discussion boards if you still have a gladi stuck in fighting after this update)
- FIXED: Several lag & combat delay issues connected to movement when one player as a bad connection to the server (300ms and higher)
- FIXED: Players that quit / disconnect during a fight are not correctly logged out, causing combat issues for the opponent
- FIXED: If both opponents quit / restart the game during fight they don’t see the correct “Fighting” status on their gladiator
- FIXED: Training with just 1 training point on high yield training point sessions can cause an “Overflow” error msg and game crash
- FIXED: Occasionally there can be an invisible gladiator that is blocking a slot in the quarters
- FIXED: AI can break in tutorial on attack, causing crash and blocking the player from advancing further
- FIXED: Missing / wrong localisation for Russian
- FIXED: Fixed training bug that allowed players to get more Attribute Points from trainings then he should

Stuck gladiators hotfix
Ave Gladiators and Lanistas,
With the recent epidemic of stuck gladiators we have issued an hourly fix for the pesky bugs to stop pestering our hard earned gladiators.
Ths is only a temporary solution until we find and destroy the cause. Until then it would be of great value if you could provide any further information if your gladiator is never returned.
We've closely listened and followed your comments on our game. Please find below another quick adjustment of some of the most hotly discussed issues, such as; a more level playing field of free vs premium gladiators and free vs premium equipment.
Factually it's a hot-fix while we keep working on tackling the defense bug (currently defenses aren't working as intended) and the lag issues encountered by some players.
Change-list:
- Premium Equipment damages and armor reduced
- Standard Equipment attributes increased
- Standard Gladiators upgraded to be equal to Premium gladiators on Market
- Fixed achievement bug crash bug after the tutorial
- Sidestep cost fixed to 3 endurance
Downtime shall ensue @3PM CET and will last for an approximated 2 hours

Factually it's just a hotfix while we tackle the defense bug (currently defenses aren't working as intended) and the lag issues encountered by some players.

Contracts no longer cost any stamina
Sidestepping no longer costs endurance
Doctores: Reduced stamina and time cost, increased AP% Gain
Courtesans: Changed time and stamina costs
Healers: Reduced time cost, improved level 1 and 2 healers, changed Intensive Care to soft currency
Masseurs: Reduced time cost, changed Massage Terapy to Soft Currency
