Looking Ahead

We hope you all had a great holiday! We took some time to recharge and prepare for what is to come next.

Thank you to all who have supported us so far since September. Hopefully you have seen the potential this game has and are willing to stick with us into this year.

Many of you are probably wondering what direction we are going in from here, if in any at all. At first we were not exactly sure either, but we always had a few ideas.

We began working on the next phase of Gladio last month. You can expect this to be a vast improvement from where we are currently. We have been learning constantly since the very beginning, and have been using that knowledge moving forward.

We are going to retain our overall vision of the game that we have had since day one; a mechanically-engaging, challenging, and rewarding experience. We are going to be creating new mechanics for you to utilize and new design elements to explore.

As far as a timetable, this will take a number of months to complete. We want to make sure that the game you will be playing is as complete upon release as we can manage.

Whenever it is released, all of you who own the game will receive the update in its entirety for free.

In the meantime, we will still be providing support regularly. If you have any issues with the game or even any questions as to what our progress is, please contact us.

Be sure to follow Gladio even if you are considering buying it, as we will be primarily releasing teasers here!

Minor Update 1.3.1

This is just a small update to fix the enemy getting up from the ground. It will be a lot smoother now.

Both of us were a little busy with the holidays, so it was slightly delayed.

Update 1.3

Our next update is here! We have been hard at work since Update 1.2 and are excited to share this with all of you.

New Features



  • New Weapon - Mace
  • Corresponding Damage Model for Mace
  • Custom Armor for Player
  • Stats for Player Armor (see in-game)
  • Custom Waves
  • Player Can Perform Counter after Well-Timed Block
  • Option for Inverted Attack Input
  • Option for Blood Amount (will affect performance either way)
  • Option for Blood Lifetime (will affect performance either way)
  • Option for Body Lifetime (will affect performance either way)
  • Animation for Block Idle (used to only be contextual)

Thank you for your feedback since the last update, we have been reading it all and a lot of it has influenced what appeared in this update. Always be sure to tell us about your experience and if you have any ideas.
We also thank you again for your patience as this update took a bit longer than we indicated previously. Developing a game is quite the task, and issues arise all too frequently during the process. We will always let you know of our progress and when to expect updates.

Update on the... Update

We apologize that the next update is not out yet, as we previously indicated it would be by now. There are some pretty big new features that are coming your way, some of which have taken a bit longer to figure out than we planned.
We are almost finished with everything though, and will be getting the update out soon.
We think you all will really enjoy what is to come.

Update Soon

We just wanted to let everyone know that we have been working hard on our next update.

Update 1.2 - UI Overhaul

Thank you for your patience since the last update, we have been hard at work mainly overhauling our entire UI!

General



  • Improved UI Interface
  • More Settings

    • Field of View
    • Depth of Field
    • Player Helmet Visible
    • Reticle
    • Cooldown Indicator

  • Volume Now Has a Slider
  • Settings should now save successfully when clicking the "APPLY" button
  • Settings should now load successfully upon starting the game


Bug Fixes



  • "WAVE ONE" should no longer remain on screen after the wave is completed
  • Attacking is less buggy now
  • Kicking is less buggy now


Looking Ahead


Our second team member has returned and has already begun working on some of the major gameplay/mechanical improvements on our list.
We do not have exact dates yet, but expect those updates to begin taking place towards the middle to the end of October.
