Global Soccer Manager 2018

Dear Players!

Recently I was asked by several players from Australia through South America to Europe about a new "episode" of the Global Soccer Manager series. Unfortunately I had to say that a new game is not in my short term plans, because of the relatively low sales of the previous two games, so I have to focus my energy on other things. It wasn't an easy decision, because I love this game and it was built with lots of passion to all of those who share good memories about the old manager games or who wanted to try to manage teams from distant countries.
But these questions made me rethink my possibilities about a new game, because it's a really great honor for me that there are people from all over the world who're enjoying this series. Currently I can't promise as many new features, as it was from the "upgrade" from GSM to GSM 2017.

What I can offer:
-updated club database
-updated player database
-updated manager database
-updated player careers
-updated competition histories
-updated continental cup participants

Since no new user interface or no new features would be integrated, I'm planning to put a cheaper price tag on the new game, 7.99 USD/EUR or maybe 8.99 USD/EUR instead of the current game's 9.99 USD/EUR price.

But! This is not a finalized decision, because I don't want you to think that "Oh, that guy just wants to sell the same product twice", so I'd really appreciate your opinion about this new game with the conditions mentioned above to help me make the decision.
You can contact me anywhere, on the game's Steam community forums, on Facebook, you can send me a public or a private message, it doesn't matter. All I ask is: don't be lazy if you have something to say, because I'm waiting to hear out your opinion about the game.

Thank you!

Second update

Dear Players!

The second update of GSM 2017 is here. Please check the list of changes below:

-Important skills for every positions are now highlighted on the players' data page.
Please note: this function is optional, you can turn it on/off on the Settings screen.

-Also, there's a single number to evaluate a player, based on his ability and on his most important skills.
Please note: this function is optional, you can turn it on/off on the Settings screen.

-There's a third type of view on your Squad screen, which displays every player's skills. If the 'Simpler player data sheet' option is turned on, important skills will be highlighted here too. Just hit the 'Change view' button twice.

-I've managed to reduce the game's memory usage by ~15%. I'm not sure if this will help for those, who had issues with the facepack, but it's worth trying again.

-Background processing solved: if you don't want to wait and see while the match results are being generated, you are free to "leave" the game screen and read something on the internet for example.

-Match situations are now stored until the end of the match, so you can read the whole story of the match again, just hit the 'Change view' button twice.

-There's an engagement option on the tactics screen before and during the matches, which means you can control how much effort your players will take to score a goal/to win the match. When you're 3-0 up in the half time, you are free to set a lower option. This will affect players' condition too, so if you don't want them to be too tired before the next match, this can be a solution.

-Player names are now displayed on the tactics screen below their faces.

-There's an autosave option on the Settings screen. You can set how often do you want it (1 to 10 weeks) and you're able to select the day of it (Monday to Sunday). It's optional, so it's not mandatory to use it.

-You can set a filter about the news you'll get. It's also optional, you'll find it on the Settings screen.

All the updates were suggested or requested by users, whom I can't thank one by one, but I'd like to thank to everyone who are actively helping me to make the game better day by day.
Don't forget to contact me if you'll have any issues or ideas!

Greetings,
Mark

First update

Dear Players!

The first update of GSM 2017 is here. Please check the list of changes below:

-On the squad screen you'll be able to select a new, detailed view, which will make easier to select your starting eleven.

-Stadiums are upgradable. How it works: when your club finishes in a good position (e.g. you were predicted 20th, but you finished 10th, or you'll get promoted to a higher division) and if your club have enough funds for the construction, your stadium will be upgraded. It is automatic, you cannot request it. You'll receive news about it at the start of the next season. Every club has a maximum capacity of upgrades, which is based on the club's starting division/reputation, so you won't be able to "build" a 50.000 seated stadium for a Division 4 team.

-On the training screen I've added an option to set the squad's training weekly. This will make things quicker. Please note, that it won't modify resting days.

-The game now supports 1600x900 resolution. Please note, that my monitor does not support this resolution, so I couldn't test it. I think it should work fine, but please contact me if you'll find any mistakes.

-On the match tactics screen the yellow/red cards will be displayed near the players' name.

-Unavailable players' position will be displayed with red font on the starting eleven selection, so it will be easier to notice.

-There's a "Remember my filters" option on the Player search screen, so when you'll tick it, your filters won't be reset when quitting to the main menu.

-When a player rejects your contract offer, you'll be informed about his expectations.

-At the first start, you'll be warned to check the Tutorials section. By ticking the "Don't show again" it won't appear again.

-I have added a new option on the Player search screen's Wage filter.

-There were some minor changes/fixes too.

All the updates were suggested or requested by users, whom I can't thank one by one, but I'd like to thank to everyone who are actively helping me to make the game better day by day.
Don't forget to contact me if you'll have any issues or ideas!

Greetings,
Mark
