We wanted to reach out to let everyone know that effective July 10th Gloom: Digital Edition will no longer support online multiplayer. While this was a difficult decision the team felt it the best one to allow us to focus on continuing to support Gloom on new and exciting platforms like the upcoming addition to the Gameboard library.
Additionally, based on player feedback and data, the majority of the Gloom: Digital Edition user base enjoyed the game through its single-player experience and nothing with that will change!
Again, we’d like to reiterate that while this was a difficult decision it will enable our small indie team to continue to expand Gloom’s reach on additional platforms and enable us to continue focusing efforts on other, future projects as well.
Thanks for your continued support - The Sky Ship Studios Team
Gloom 1.0.3205 Update
Hello Gloomizens,
Change is good! And with the launch of Gloom: Digital Edition on iOS and Android we’re sending an update that will see some big, exciting changes to the game so that it runs similarly on all platforms!
We’ve been listening and reading everyone’s feedback and have been working on bug/UI fixes and general updates to the game’s infrastructure.
Please read below for all changes in update 2.0
Updated UI (to coincide with mobile versions)
Improved opponent AI
Fixed multiplayer bugs related to stability
As you’ll notice, the biggest change will be a fresh coat of paint to the overall UI. The new UI is now the same across the board, matching up with the upcoming iOS and Android versions.
The new UI includes
One family on screen
Discard, Skip and Exit buttons moved to lower right
Timer and active player name moved to top middle of screen
These new changes will allow us to seamlessly update and make improvements across all three platforms, while adding some visual improvements requested by the community.
We hope you love the new digs. Now go spread some Gloom!!
