Gnomes Vs. Fairies

Major update coming! Need your opinions please!

Hi there!
So for the past year and a half I've been working on Gnomes vs. Fairies 2: Moons of Ventocia, and I've learned a lot in the process and I'm about to release a major update for Gnomes vs. Fairies that fixes a lot of what I didn't know enough to know sucked about it!
This includes the players acceleration and movement speed, a COMPLETE overhaul of the camera. (Oh how did you people put up with such a terrible camera for so long?) and many more little fixes and changes and improvements.

I will NOT be fixing the speedrunning bugs or exploits that the speedrunning community enjoys so much, but my next game you'll have a harder time, although I'm excited to see what you make of it!

My big question is this:
I'm thinking of sunsetting the online portion of the game. It's not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just the player base is way too small and I almost never see anyone else online. I just feel like it's a waste of people's time to go in and never get to see anyone.

Would anyone miss the online play I've added if I took it away?

I've begun work on Gnomes vs. Fairies 2: The Moons of Ventocia!

Set 1,000 years after Greckel's Quest, Gnomes vs. Fairies 2 is still a platformer, but it's a lot more of an RPG!

You play with a party of 4 gnomes, one under your control and the other three AI.

Note that those characters are CAPSULES, and all art is temporary! I'm still waiting on getting my characters back from the artist, but here is the concept art which I drew myself:

It will be set on the Gnomish Moon Colonies on Ventocia, which has many many moons!

Big 2 player update today, and tall-ball world's physics are fixed!

Hey everyone,
I did a lot of work on 2 player gameplay today.

The girl gnome 2nd player is fixed now, she won't always twist her torso like a weirdo anymore.

Both players now have separate health, and some mobs aggro player 2 now, getting the rest to aggro will take quite a while so that's coming next.

Also, I redid the physics on Tall-Ball world and gave the ball a lot more friction which should make it much easier to control. I hope you try it out and let me know how it feels for you!

Gnomes vs. Fairies vive support released!

Hey everyone!
So I just updated GvF to support the HTC vive VR headset.

I also did a lot of upgrading and optimizing so please let me know if you have any trouble or encounter any weird behavior or bugs!

Revive users, just try it in Steam VR mode and let me know how it works!

100% is now achievable in Gnomes vs. Fairies - Greckel's Quest

Spend several days updating Gnomes vs. Fairies, and now it's possible to achieve 100 percent, unlock all items, and completely master the game!!
As far as I know, all bugs are gone!

Groupees Be Mine bundle

My game Gnomes vs. Fairies was recently in the BeMine bundle, and as such, we're going to have thousands of new players descending on the community! We've had 1500 new activations in the last 24 hours, so here's what you need to know:

the game works out of the box on Keyboard and Mouse and Xbox One controllers.

If you have other controllers or configurations, you need to map the controllers in the launcher, but the control settings are kind of a mess right now.

Here's what you should map (refer to xbox one controller for position):

Interact: xbox B button
Fire: xbox X button
Jump: xbox A button
AuxWeapon: Xbox X button
Player 1 X movement: Left joystick LR
Player 1 Y movement: Left joystick UD
Pause: "start button"
Menu: "Select" button
Switch: LShoulder Button
AuxSwitch: RShoulder Button
Horizontal_R: Right joystick LR
Vertical_R: Left joystick UD
RShoulderXbox: Right trigger
LShoulderXbox: Left trigger
DpadX: Dpad LR
DpadY: Dpad UD

For 2 player co-op:

Player 2 X Movement (analog stick)
Player 2 Y Movement (analog stick)
1_start
1_jump
1_fire
1_switch
1_AuxWeapon

I know I'm going to have a ton of customer support threads on the community and i'll do my best to get to you if you have problems, but please be patient!
My players are about to multiply by 10 probably.

For Multiplayer:
I don't know how this will affect the servers. I assume we will probably see some overloads. If you get any server full errors or any other problems, please post on the steam community!

Linux Steam Achievements restored!

I've fixed the bugs in the steam plugin on Linux.
Also, online soccer updated with a whole bunch of kicks you can do.

Also, I BELIEVE I have fixed the bug where you get stuck for a second during your sword combos. It's been haunting me for a long time and I THINK it's gone. If you can reliably get the character stuck, let me know how!! Thanks!!

Multiplayer update- introducing Gnome Soccer!

Added Vote gamemode & map to multiplayer and introduced Gnome Soccer! Try it out!

Gnome Soccer is pretty beta, please let me know if you try it. You might find the ball disappears or something. You can vote to change the mode again to Gnome Soccer to get it back.
