Hey friends!

Some of you might have noticed the sneaky patch a couple days ago and already started, but for official purposes, Episode 2 has set sail! All you have to do is download the update and you're good to goat. (We apologize to our fans that this has taken longer than intended to release due to personal/health problems that happened along the way.)

Chubbs: o.o?
???: "Hi! I'm new here and I don't know what I'm in for."

Goats on a Bridge 1.3 Patch Notes

Hello again Bridgehoppers!

Thank you all for supporting our game and providing us with all of your wonderful feedback!
Because of your feedback we've been able to identify and address several more issues in Goats on a Bridge. We are providing a small update to hopefully resolve these to your satisfaction.

Patch Notes
- We have re-designed the input engine and now use a powerful back end to help identify and utilize many more game controllers. In addition to the new input engine, we have redesigned how rebinding inputs are handled behind the scenes.

- You can now set a dead-zone for your controllers in the settings. Please note that if you are unable to navigate the Main Menu using the mouse and the cursor keeps travelling on it's own, you can disable the gamepad mouse controller using the console (hit the ~ key while on the main menu on your keyboard, and then type: "disablegmc" without quotes).

- An issue where input would sometimes not respond correctly during the intro and outro cutscenes has been resolved.

- An issue where jumping over the invisible barrier still occurred in certain situations has been addressed.

- The camera now adjusts it's position based on the position of the characters to help alleviate visibility issues.

- The game will now automatically enter the pause menu if the game window loses focus while you are in the middle of a level.

- When changing background music in the Portal Run settings scene the corresponding background music will now begin to play.

- Portal Run mode has had some new customizable settings added.

- Some additional UI textures have been placed into the game in certain scenes.

- Post-Processing SSAO and Bloom have been added to the options screen under the video tab.

- Anti-Aliasing is now optional via the options screen.

- Character animations have been adjusted slightly.

- Some of the physics-related content have been adjusted and are now more accurate.

- Input is now more responsive then it was previously to help the player react even quicker.

- The Pause Menu now allows access to the Options Menu directly.

- The textures of many assets have been updated.

- New assets have been added to certain scenes.

Many more minor adjustments have been made and we hope that all of the issues that were addressed have resolved any problems you may have been encountering.

If you do come across a new issue (or an old one that has somehow returned) please post in the community forums so that we can get it fixed as soon as possible! :)

Have a great weekend!

Hotfixes

Further fixes to the patch for version 1.2 have been added to the latest update:

- An issue where Level 10 Easy would instead be identical to Level 10 Hard has been resolved.
- An issue where coins collected where sometimes destroyed instead of being collected has been resolved.
- An issue with segments in survival sometimes not spawning correctly has been addressed.

Happy goating! :D

Goats on a Bridge 1.2 Patch Notes

Hello Bridgehoppers!

Thank you all for supporting our game and providing us with all of your wonderful feedback!
Because of your feedback we've been able to identify and address several bugs and other issues in Goats on a Bridge. We are providing a small update to resolve several of these.

Below are the patch notes:

- The first two introductory levels have been overhauled to ease players into the game a little better and help get a real feel for the mechanics earlier on.

- An issue whereby the 'The End' achievement would not be unlocked, even after completing the game in certain situations has been addressed. The achievement should automatically unlock once you have launched the game after downloading this update, but in some scenarios you may need to re-complete Level 10 on easy or hard mode to trigger the unlock.

- Platforms which would cause issues or act unexpectedly in some areas have been adjusted to operate as originally intended.

- Beating a stage never looked better! We have made some minor changes to make the experience more rewarding for both you and the brotherly goats!

- Occasionally a player was able to trigger overlapping loading screens. While weird and kinda cool, we've addressed this and resolved the issue. No goat cloning to be found here!

- Coins which may have disappeared on certain levels have now been addressed.

- Tempo's Black Dye has been fixed. No more zombie-goat.. Maybe at Halloween though!

- Collection animations have been added to the coins in every level.

- The brothers will now chatter randomly as they go through the levels. They have minds of their own! You are able to Mute them in the options how-ever, if their bickering frustrates you. We're not that cruel.. :D

On a side note, what's black and white, makes loud slurping noises while travelling at 40km per hour and never found without a pair of chopsticks?

End of the week hotfixes!

Hi Goats!

It's been one craaaazy week so far since our launch day, and we have watched some pretty interesting (and awesome) footage on YouTube and Twitch! It's great to have such a good reception for our first game.

We're glad you're all enjoying it!

While we were watching all your gameplay online we did happen to notice a few bugs! So that's what this patch and update is about.

In this patch we have addressed the following issues and made some other minor changes:

  • The corresponding keys are now shown on the How To Play screens in the Main Menu and Pause Menu.
  • A bug was fixed in The Portal level where some of the tiles did not spawn in the correct place, which caused big gaps, and in some cases making it impossible to progress.
  • An issue was addressed where if you were able to fall off of the end platform on a level after completing it, the end result of that level would be a KO. Although this is quite an accomplishment, it was a bug and has since been fixed (props to Siren from Frag Dolls for this!).
  • An issue where the OST wouldn't download to your computer has been resolved. You can now find the OST if you've purchased it by Right-Clicking on Goats on a Bridge in Steam, selecting Properties, then the Local Files tab and pressing "Browse Local Files..." after it has finished downloading.
  • The Portal Setup screen now displays your greatest distance traveled.
  • Credits have been added.

Thank you very much for your support this far!

We have much more ahead for you all coming soon! :D

Update

Hi Folks,

If the game has video options enabled, you're good to goat, if not please read on.

Please exit and force an update on it in your Steam Library. We apologize as it seems we derped the depo numbers (causing you to have a version that's a little behind without some cool features >_>) when uploading the final version of the game and things went a little funny without us realizing.

Enjoy the 1080p ;)

Thank you for your understanding and we hope you enjoy the game!
