Dev Blog #1
Hey!
Here we are with our first blog post - one and a half exciting month after our early access release. First of all, we would like to thank you for being part of our small but fast growing community. We've received awesome feedback from you and we are amazed by your support. To be honest, when we released the game we didn't expect to receive so much positive feedback and it feels surreal to see that people already build over 200 golf courses.
Who are we?!
As some of you may already notice, the game was built as a one-man project. This will end soon when I'm going to hire Christian, who is a programmer and a good friend of mine. He is going to improve the performance of Golf it! and helps to implement new features. Furthermore, we are going to get our own assets to extend our world.
Our Focus
We are currently focused on fixing bugs, which will result in multiple smaller updates. As soon as we are done with that, we are going to do more fancy stuff again, like implementing VR, better controller support and new worlds.
Mixed Reviews
This morning we realized, that we are currently receiving negative reviews, which results in a "mixed reviews" label on our store page. This is a sign for us, that something is going wrong. This game was build because we wanted to have a golf game which is less casual and more based on skill. However, with our editor, we've reached a broader audience than we've expected and this audience is partly not interested in a non-casual game. We would love to receive feedback from you, so we get a better impression of your vision of the future.
YouTube and Twitch
Golf it! has received a lot of coverage on YouTube and Twitch. There are videos with thousands of viewers which is awesome. Huge thanks, to all the people which are spreading video content about our game. We try to look as many videos as we can to gather feedback, to improve our game or just for fun.
TL;DR;
- Thanks for everything, we are amazed by your support. <3
- The Team is growing +1.
- Our Focus is on fixing bugs, VR, better controller support and new worlds.
- Your feedback helps us to improve the game.
Take care,
Jonas & Christian

Quick introduction into Dynamic Lanes:
To activate and edit dynamic lanes rightclick on them.
Use the the big hedra to change the distance from start to end point.
Use the small hedras to change the tangents of the lanes.
When modifing the big hedras you can use your mouse wheel to roll the end points.
Additional using SHIFT and mouse wheel lets you scale these points.
Changing the engine version is a big step and can cause issues. If you find anything please let me know in the comments / forum or via mail.
