A brand new mode! Teams Mode offers a new way for players to play with their friends, both online and offline. Pick your teammates and select one of 12 new pre-set teams representing the many locations of GWYF to compete against each other in any team size configurations.
○ New game setting options are available for teams sessions allowing multiple ways to calculate your team scores. New ball collision options are also available offering the ability to collide with only your teammates or just the enemy team. Perfect for offering some helping hands or sinister strategies to secure the win for your Team.
○ Teams can be enabled in any existing game mode and on any course, including workshop content!

[PC] Fixed an issue where mouse input would be ignored if an active touchscreen was connected to the system.
[Level Editor] Fixed an issue where several objects in the Deep theme could not be selected after placement and lacked collision.
[Level Editor] Fixed a bug where assets moved to high XYZ axis values caused the ball to become unresponsive in-game.
[Level Editor] Improved the texture LoD (Level of Detail) on some icy assets from the Winter LE Theme.
[Level Editor] Course names ending with a space will no longer block workshop upload (the space will be automatically removed).
[Hotseat] Fixed a problem where a player’s turn could end prematurely when interacting with black holes and cause a soft lock.
[PS4] Updated the description for the "Peaceful Pines" trophies to rectify an earlier reference to the incorrect course name.
[Volcano] Fixed a problem on Hole 17 where a player could become stuck if they hit a certain type of pipe from a specific angle.
[Peaceful Pines] Fixed an issue where the ball did not get reset after falling into the water on Hole 8.
[Escapists] Fixed an issue where a naughty slice of bread between Hole 6 and 7 did not reset the ball position.
[Museum] Fixed a problem where part of the stone floor on Hole 6 didn’t reset the ball.
[Bouncy Castle][Hockey] Fixed an issue where it was possible for a player to get stuck in a hole that was hidden under the Hole 8 goal tile when playing in Hockey mode.
[Hockey] Fixed an issue where freestanding hockey goalies appeared stationary for all players except for the Host in multiple courses.

Howdy golfers! We've just rolled out our Unity Upgrade across Golf With Your Friends, making it easier for our team to keep working on the game with improved support and tooling for future development!

[Steam PC] Fixed a bug where online lobby type would automatically change from Password to Public in the Session Setup window when attempting to create a Password lobby.
[Escapist] Fixed up a missing wall asset on Hole 10.
[XB1] Fixed a bug where creating a lobby and accepting invites could occasionally result in Network Error Messages.
[Level Editor] Fixed visual inconsistency in look between old and newly added icons for 1x1 floor tiles.

Howdy golfers! I hope you’re doing well and that your shots are staying on course today! I wanted to introduce myself for anyone who I haven’t chatted with yet - I’m Alex, the new community manager on Golf With Your Friends! 👋
I’m not the only new person working on the game now though, as we’ve invested in a brand-new and bigger team, allowing us to bring you more new courses, more new game modes, more new cosmetics, and more surprises down the line! Lots of exciting news to share with you over the next few months, so keep an eye on our social media channels! ⛳
I also wanted to make you all aware of a price increase that will affect all of our existing DLC course and cosmetic packs from 11th September.
The Horrifying Headgear Pack, Caddy Pack, Racing Pack, Summer Party Pack, Sports Pack, and Pizza Party Pack will be increasing to $3.99, whilst the Corrupted Forest Course increases to $4.99 and the Bouncy Castle Course increases to $8.99.
While we understand that any price increase can be unwelcome, we are raising the price of existing DLCs to allow us to reinvest back into our ambitious plans for the rest of 2023 and 2024. We’ve heard the community’s feedback and want to push Golf With Your Friends to be the best it can be over the next few years and we hope you’ll stick with us for that!
Don’t worry though! You can still grab the DLC packs at their current price until Monday, 11th September!

Your level editing experience just received an upgrade! We've pushed a patch onto the course, offering new features, editor assets and an array of bug fixing!
Full patch notes are as follows:
Being able to disable the default World terrain so you can customise your level however you like
Being able to specifically position objects in the level editor once the world terrain is disabled, by holding right click and scrolling the mouse wheel.
Powerups added to level editor
Boost boxes added to level editor

As we’re continuing to work on further updates for Golf With Your Friends, we’d like to release a series of dev logs to share development, upcoming features, and more! 👀
Corrupted Forest 🥀
Firstly, thank you for all of your feedback following Corrupted Forest. We've read through all of your reviews, posts, and messages over social media. Our team has taken all of your feedback onboard, and are keeping it in mind while we work on the next update.
For now, we’d love to share with you the process behind Corrupted Forest’s development!
The First Stage ✏️
Initially, we started off with a look into the data. Research showed us that a large portion of players quit between holes 9-11, so we wanted to test out a shorter 9 hole course.
From its birth, Corrupted Forest was designed to be the hardest course to date – to really test the skills that golfing veterans had honed. We saw that a vast number of players frequently achieve par or better, and so we wanted to present them a real challenge worthy of those skills 🥇
We knew from the start that we wanted to reward the players that had what it took to conquer the hardest course, to crown their achievement!
The basis of Corrupted Forest also came from just how much players love Forest – it is by far the most popular course, so we wanted to take that and give it a twist!
The Theme 🌳
Initially the concept was centered around the idea of an ‘Inferno Course’ - an “apocalypse” type setting to fit the challenging aspect of the theme.
We initially discussed the idea of setting fire to the forest, and all the issues that would come from that. A member of the team had a great alternative, which was introducing an alien corruption theme instead that slowly takes over the Forest. We wanted to show this gradual corruption with the level dressing, so we split the course into three distinct areas!
Level Design 🎨
Ironically, designing holes that are hard turned out to be quite hard! Striking a balance between difficult but doable took a lot of playtesting. We wanted to avoid the holes being a case of “you can only get there with this exact amount of power at this exact moment”.
We initially started with paper designing, picking out what would be the unique element to the hole. From there we would take it in engine, (as we have many pieces available to us now) and started sculpting out the Hole shape there! We also started experimenting with putting twists on existing Holes from the Forest course - do you think you can spot which ones? 🔎
What’s Next? 🔮
As mentioned previously, we’ve taken all of it onboard and are keeping it in mind whilst we work on the next course!
To give you an idea of what’s coming, we’re aiming for this course to feel more like a ‘warm hug’ - with more natural shapes and curves, lending itself to a simpler course, and a more chill gameplay session.
