We’ve released a patch to address some reported issues and also add in some metrics that will allow us to get a better understanding of how players are interacting with the game.
We’ve implemented analytics tracking purely so we can get a read of how players are interacting with the game! For example, it will allow us to see which course is the most played.
In the event that you see [noparse]‘ads.t17service.com’[/noparse] in a filter pop-up, this is nothing to be alarmed about. This is not an advertising feature – ‘ads’ stands for Amazon Directory Service. This is simply the service we use to manage configuration data in game, for example: links to social media channels, or authenticating multiplayer services with our provider.
If you do not want to have analytics tracked in your game, you can choose to opt out of this in the in-game options menu.
PLEASE NOTE: Opting out of the analytics tracking this will stop gameplay data being shared but you may still see data being sent to BackTrace - this is error reporting that our team needs to collect when an issue is encountered in the game.
Added in game metrics to help us understand how players engage with different parts of the game.
Fixes:
Fixed an issue where front end music will briefly play at the default volume when first loading into the front end
Fixed an issue with anti-aliasing setting not retaining its state
Fixed an issue where an offensive player name doesn't become censored after a player enables the profanity filter
Fixed an issue where the game does not register the ball is in the hole if pushed in by another ball
Fixed an issues where the player was unable to continue if another player hits them into the hole
Fixed an issue where you could not press 'enter' to join a password lobby, only the mouse
Fixed an issue where the bindings are reset on both Keyboard and Gamepad controls if defaults are applied on either one
Fixed a bug where Keytips for gameplay functions remained visible when spectating other players after scoring
Fixed a problem where the previous player's HUD text briefly overlaps with the "Your turn' HUD text of the next player when the previous player completes the current hole in any way
Fixed an issue where the 'Free-cam' tutorial tip will display in-game whilst playing in a mode that has Free-cam Time set to 0/disabled
Fixed a problem that caused in-game friends that are set to 'Away' on Steam to appear after 'Online' friends that are not running the title on the Frontend Friends list
Fixed visual issues with the shot counter UI in practice mode
Fixed a problem where the turn timer UI element flickers when pausing the game

Update 1 for Golf with your Friends is here! We hope you've been having an amazing, hectic time -- enjoying yourselves in the craziness of the golf courses available! This update will see the Escapists course release on consoles, and a plethora of bug fixes to address issues in both the PC & Console versions. We appreciate your patience whilst these problems were addressed.
PC & Console Bug fixes
- Ball collisions should now be consistent between hosts and clients - Profanity filter should now be more selective (i.e. less words are filtered) - Ball lights will be visible for other players (not just the host)
Other fixes:
[Collision][Escapists] On hole 6 there are invisible walls located near the ramp
[Forest] - Wooden blocker on Hole 16 of Forest does not move for clients in online games
The Hole in - One trophy does not trigger in online or hotseat play if another player times out
In game fog is not activated depending on the players draw distance settings
[Collision][Escapists] On Hole 13 the table on the left side at the start of the Hole has no collision
[Audio][Escapists] Some SFX of the Furnace_Pusher_Escapists assets are played despite audio turned off in the settings
The Flag Indicator does not show up in Hotseat while in game or in free camera mode on any course
[Level Editor] (PC) The Global/Local text in the object details window is very large and exceeds the confines of its button
Any stats created in the course specific section of the player's personal stats will be lost if made on the first session since creating new save data
[Escapists] The sinks on hole 7 have no collision
When the player forfeits a Hole it will give the result "Ran out of Time!"
Player profile images in the quickplay lobby will appear as blank circles or the generic golf ball if
players have previously been in an online lobby together
[Museum] Spirit Wall particle effects appear static from Hole 7 and onward until the player either picks them up or interacts with the Pause menu
[Escapists] There is no white rim for the hole in Classic mode on hole 11 of Escapists
Powerups can be enabled in Hockey and Dunk mode and positions are not correct in these modes
[Museum] The animation for spirit wall pickup is static until the pick up is activated
The profanity filter Game option under "Accessibility" has no default value
The 'Who's the food now?' achievement is not unlocked after being eaten by Gingy in the practice
range.
[Escapists] The ball is not reset after coming to a stop on a certain metal sheet asset on Hole 9
Players can hit their ball whilst in Free-cam mode if they open and close the Pause menu whilst in Free-cam mode on gamepad
[Museum] - Active spirit wall VFX and SFX can be heard / seen when spectating
[Collision][Escapists] On Hole 3 multiple wooden barriers in the spawn area are affected by collision

Welcome golfers!
We're super excited to announce that Golf With Your Friends has now left Early Access and is a launched game! Thank you to everyone for your support and the important feedback you've given! We're also thrilled to announce The Escapists have landed on the Steam fairway with course 12, more details below!
If you're new to the game, Golf With Your Friends is a 12 player simultaneous mini-golf game, that you can play online or offline in a local hotseat mode. Tee-off on 12 themed courses from a peaceful forest, Egyptian desert or even a Worms battlefield! Customize the game lobbies your way, want a hockey puck and net? No problem! Want to play golf ball basketball? No problem! Plus, party hard with powerup pickups like a ball randomizer, honey trap and much more!
Let's move on to what's new with this launch version!
The Escapists Course
Break out of our brand new 12th course with The Escapists! We can't wait for everyone to explore the prison whilst dodging new obstacles like guards, dogs and even other Escapists.
We also hope everyone will enjoy the Escapists style audio track that plays in the background. Plus take in the familiar environments and characters if you've played The Escapists series!
There's also several new objects added to the level editor to create even more impressive community Steam Workshop maps!
Console players will be able to play this course with a planned future update

New shiny celebration animations and sounds when you putt the ball into a hole.
A new flag indicator - handy if you're a bit lost on a course! This can also be accessible anytime using the freecam.
A new out of bounds system that was reworked to address a lot of issues with players finding themselves out of bounds when they weren't and other problems.
New menu sound effects and animations to make the UI more fun to be in as you make your way to a game.
We've added single player statistics.
We've added a forfeit hole mechanic if you just want to move on!

A patch has just gone live fixing the most reported issues by the community, thank you everyone for your reports to the 'Report a Problem' section here on Steam and tickets sent to our support team which has helped us with the fixes!
These are the changes:
Space hole 3 pipe has now been fixed and collision within the pipe should act as expected - players should no longer get stuck outside it.
Fixed the issue that prevented some of our users placing assets in the level editor.
Fixed an issue where some assets in the level editor could not be selected.
We fixed an error and softlock which sometimes occured on importing and attempting to publish a course from the old editor that was not previously published.
Fixed a softlock if a player retired and saved on exit from level editor and then immediately played a workshop course game.
We hope everyone is having fun with the new Volcano course and we can't wait to see what amazing courses the community will make for the Steam Workshop!
