How Did I Create A Universe In 9 Seconds?
Dear Diary,
At first… Well, to be honest, there wasn't much at first… Except maybe, me and my boredom. Then, while I was sighing and daydreaming about my own personal universe, all of a sudden these islands started forming, randomly, out of nowhere!
I couldn't understand if they were floating on air or falling constantly into emptiness. So I called them the falling-floater lands of Xant-Rar.
But, I think everything turned out nice. A little messy but nice. I mean, there are many islands with many biomes that have different landforms, creatures, races, and cultures, that have their problems, plots, serendipities, crises, chaos, and nonsense.
Now, from the start, as a creator, I know my limits. So, I tell you this; a lot of my creation is inspired by that little blue world and its game and fantasy cultures.
From the first moment, it all evolved in an interesting direction. At least, I have created dozens of natural resources and wild beasts for each of these biomes.
Then, as I was thinking (really, it happened at the moment of my thinking process) out of nowhere, pop out these cities, governed by specific factions... By the way, there are plenty of those factions. There are humans, trolls, goblins, zombies, elves, vampires, fairkies (something I come up with from Freaky Fairies), orcs, werewolves, goblins, and even robots.
Each faction has its own culture and when I say culture I mean a way of life like partying, gaming, love, etc…It's fun to see them hang on to something. Because, obviously, they don’t think that I am good enough to have their faith.
Which is sad… So sad... I need a moment here.
Anyway, they all have specific craftsmanship suitable for each culture. Once, I saw a demon blacksmith. Oh, he was working so well with fire. What I mean is they find their ways to hold on to life, so what's all that fuss? All that hate on the creator??
Good Heavens! September Update
Hi everyone!
Welcome to our first of many devlogs! We’ve been hard at work lately and have a couple things to update everyone on.
We’ve done a lot of work to ensure the ecosystem continues to grow and evolve. This system has been inspired by the work of Sebastian Lague, and we’ve done our best to do an evolving world justice.
This is now the system works now:
Rabbits spawn and exist in the world.
The world then spawns some carrots to be eaten by those rabbits. And of course, those carrots need to respawn! Let's add a hunger metric to the rabbits so that they don't eat all carrots at once!
Rabbits should naturally reproduce, so let’s add that.
Last but not least, every ecosystem needs to finish the food chain. Let’s add a fox to hunt rabbits down within a certain interval!
That's the initial version of our ecosystem simulation! Thank you everyone so much for your support and love. We can’t wait to showcase more of Good Heavens for you!
While you wait, you can check out our Discord and Twitter for more news, updates, and to hang out with our community. Feel free to even request some topics about the game in our Discord! We’ll see you all soon!
