June Monthly Progress
Hey everyone!
We released the Beta backers build yesterday. A lot of people already played it, and as expected there were a couple of bugs reported. The hotfix for v0.4.1 should be live now.
June Progress
Beta Build While the build was released this July, a lot of the work involved was during June. There were a lot of balancing and gameplay mechanic changes. For one, the Armor and Resistance buffs can now be removed by physical and magical damage respectively. Some card effects and passives have been tweaked as well.
Chapter 1 to 4 of the main story has been polished a bit for the purposes of this Beta. You also get access to 3 new heroes in addition to those in the demo.
Artworks and Assets As usual we have new concept arts, cards, and models for the game. A few noticeable additions are the Exposition artworks.
Main Story We've been revising the script iteratively to make sure that it fits the current state of the game and to iron out any issues. We haven't made much progress on the new level designs as most of the work went into the Beta build.
Hopefully everyone is excited for this huge progress in development. We'll have more for you in the next couple of weeks!

Beta Backers Build is LIVE!
Hey everyone!
Great news! The Beta build on Steam is now live for all beta backers! The current version is Beta v0.4.0. Keys have been sent out via Kickstarter so please check your emails.
This current build includes Prologue to Chapter 4 of the main story, 6 playable heroes, a few guild quests, lots of new cards, and many more!
We'll be updating the build every 2 weeks with more story content, balancing, and fixes.

May 2019 Progress
May progress report! Let's get into it!
First off, our Kickstarter campaign was officially funded with $30,000 USD last May 10th! Again, thank you so much to everyone who supported the campaign!
BETA Progress
Because of recent events like the passing of my younger brother, we had to delay the Beta Build for all those who pledged for Beta Access during the Kickstarter. Right now, we're aiming for June 14th for the Beta testing. We're working on getting it done as soon as possible.
This first Beta testing will include Act 1 of the main story which consists of 5 chapters.
Content Building
Aside from the BETA preparations, our artists are working hard on content creation. Here are some of the new concept arts, models, and card artworks.
My Brother's Work
Some people wanted to see more of Bruce's work for Grand Guilds. As a props artist, he made the Flying Ship that our heroes use. He also made a bunch of weapons and items.
In the early days of development, when there was just 3 of us, he served as a character concept artist and card artist.

March Update
March 2019 has been a very productive month for Grand Guilds! Lots of events and major milestones. Here’s our Progress Report for the said month.
KICKSTARTER DATE
Quick announcement regarding the upcoming Kickstarter. We are scheduled to launch the campaign on April 10, 2019 at 9 AM EST. There will be Early Bird rewards so be sure to mark your calendars if you want to get those!
NINTENDO SWITCH PORT
Last month has been a wild ride for us. We had so much going on but we managed to pull through. First off, we were able to successfully port the game to Nintendo Switch. We got our devkit early in the month and worked tirelessly on porting the game to Switch. It wasn’t easy as we had to optimize a lot of things and change some mechanics to make the controls more intuitive. It still needs a lot of tweaking and optimizations but we’re very happy with it so far.
GDC & PAX EAST
The Switch version was just in time for our GDC and PAX East showcases which were a complete success! A lot of people played and enjoyed the demos we had for PC and Switch. We received a ton of useful feedback and insights too.

NEW VOICE LINES
If you guys remember, we had a successful voice over casting call for the major characters in the game. We finished the recording for the entire cast earlier this month and are currently integrating all the new voice lines to the game.
NEW CHARACTERS & CARDS
Lots of progress on the art side of development. This month was mostly about Imperial characters such as nobles, commanders, and an antagonist named Kasteon Riven. Some level design and new story encounters too.
We also have new card artworks. Goodbye placeholders! Here are some of them.

GDC and PAX East + Announcement
Hey everyone!
We'll be at the MIX Asian Game Showcase today, March 20th, at the IGN Headquartes in San Francisco. Feel free to drop by if you're in the area. You might also get a chance to play our first Nintendo Switch demo. Our publisher, Keybol Games will be at the event to showcase the game.
We'll also be at PAX East on the 28th and 29th so come and say hi!
In case you missed our February update, we announced that we're going to launch another Kickstarter campaign in a few weeks time. No official date yet but it will be in the first week of April, just after our PAX East demo. Stay tuned for more info!

January Update & Future Plans
Last November a new writer, Darrus Myles Jr, joined our small team to help craft a memorable story for the game. His addition has let the rest of the team focus on creating the actual content for the game.
We’ve made HUGE progress on all the story-related content for Grand Guilds these past 2 months! I’m really happy of what we’ve managed to accomplish thus far. Here are some of the new maps and scenes we created. I made sure there were no spoilers in the screenshots :D
Earlier this January, we also updated the flying ship’s design. We’re calling her “Mami”. If you’re a fan of J-rock then you can probably guess why ;)
Of course, we also have new character and card artworks. We showcased Emperor Gian, the stern but just emperor of Triton, a few days ago. Along with a couple of new monsters.

Future Plans
As you all know, we did a Kickstarter last September 2018. It did not succeed but we gained a lot of new supporters from it. A lot of you even expressed that we should re-launch the campaign after some time.
That being said, we are highly considering to launch another Kickstarter campaign. We’re still working on some things but it’s definitely a possibility, especially now that we have a Nintendo Switch version to offer the backers. If you think we should have another go at it, please let us know on the Discord channel or on social media.
