Gremlins, Inc.
Thank you!
A few weeks ago, we decided to prepare a special gift for the community. Today, the manufacturing of these pins is over and they are already on the way to our studio. At the end of November, we will run a few community events where players will be able to win these pins. There is no big idea behind this plan – we just wanted to say "thank you" to our most loyal players. It will be also possible to win these pins in the future official tournaments.
The tournament is over and as always we would like to share with you some additional data as well as the list of the winners :fireapple:

Sessions that count towards the tournament: :bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin: (8)
For each win, players receive additional points that depend on the strength of the opponents over whom they have won. Important: your tournament points will continue to increase with the increase in the tournament score of your past opponents, over whom you prevailed – even if you already have reached the limit of sessions for the tournament. What this means is that the tournament is never over for you as long as your previously conquered opponents continue to play, and win.
During this tournament, regular rating points will be frozen for all the players. Your tournament sessions will NOT affect your regular rating.
Players get tournament points for the first 8 sessions played in the tournament on each of the servers. Any subsequent sessions won't give any tournament points, and won't increase the number of defeated opponents who give additional points. Nonetheless, victories of all opponents who were defeated in the first 8 sessions will affect your final tournament rating.
PRIZE FUND:
Awarded: Top 10 players on each of the servers. In addition to the main prize fund, every player who finishes all 8 tournament sessions receives a special bonus player icon “Facepalm” (only if it has not been received before)!
In the case when at the end of the tournament two or more players will have equal number of tournament points, they will share the same (highest) place and get the same rewards. However, the award list will not be extended, and we will still award only the top 10 players on each server.
TOURNAMENT CHESTS – FAQ:
Q. Where do Tournament Chests drop? A. Only in tournament sessions, which are available via Multiplayer Lobby.
Q. If I've finished all my tournament sessions, can I get more tournament chests? A. Yes, as long as you will keep playing tournament sessions.
Q. Are the tournament items limited to this tournament only, or to tournaments in general? A. The tournament items are available via tournament chests, which drop during every official tournament in the game.
Q. Is there a full list of tournament items available via tournament chests? A. Yes, please see below:

The Summer Season is officially over! Congratulations to the strongest and luckiest players on both servers: Top-10 players on Amsterdam and on Singapore will be awarded with :sunnyemo: Summer Chests :sunnyemo: as well as with :firstplace: rare in-game items :firstplace:!
Today we release the Autumn Season Update for Gremlins, Inc. that introduces new content and a number of changes to the overall game balance, and the behaviour of AI bots. With this update we also begin the new Autumn Season, resetting the rating of all players to the default value of 100.00 (the award ceremony for the top players of the Summer Season will happen a bit later).
Below is the list of changes:
A. NEW FEATURES
Significantly more flexibility in the rules of ranked sessions.
All ranked sessions can now be played with a modded set of rules – this is a new feature that we wanted to bring on, for quite some time.
For the Autumn Season, we adjusted the deck on the Singapore's server to better reflect the dynamics of duel sessions. It is quite possible that in the future, we will also adjust the deck on the Amsterdam server in order to create a different feel for ranked sessions there – please share your comments / suggestions with us here on Steam or on the game's official Discord server.
The changes made to the deck on the Singapore server are as follows:
REMOVED from the deck:
:cards: "Devil's Due"
:cards: "Guild Services"
:cards: "An Award Ceremony"
:cards: "False Testimony"
:cards: "An Honest Exchange"
:cards: x1 "A Set-up"
:cards: "A Voodoo Doll"
:cards: "The Accelerator"
In the game, the composition of the current ranked deck can be found under the 'Ranked session rules' button in the multiplayer lobby.
:steampunk: Engineer: the 'Trade Union' ability is changed. It no longer provides $50 to the Engineer every time when an opponent works at the Plant. It still increases the possible earning from that type of work for all participants of the session.
:steampunk: Politician: the 'Loyal Electorate' ability now gives :votes:5 at the beginning of the session instead of :votes:2.
:steampunk: Pauper: both 'Apathy' and 'No Place for Beggars' now trigger when the Pauper has less than $100 (instead of when the Pauper is the poorest player on the board).
:steampunk: Banker: in addition to +10 income, the 'Old Investments' ability now gives $100 at the beginning of the session.
CARDS:
:cards: "The Accelerator" now costs $700 (instead of $600).
:cards:"An Honest Exchange" now costs $100 (instead of $50).
D. OTHER CHANGES
The logic of AI bots on how / when they attack opponents has been improved. Bots are now also more inclined to focus on increasing their income.
The formula for calculating the changes in rating after a ranked session is changed. If a player with high rating loses to a player with a much lower rating, the loss of rating is now less harsh.
E. FIXES
Fixed an issue with the 'Richest player' icon during sessions. It is now shown correctly for the richest player. [:notebook: Danbl4]
Fixed an issue with the Baloon-o-mat being replaced by another effect. [:notebook: Thainlex, Flibustier-USSR]
Fixed an issue with the inability for spectators to use some of the emotions when the impending Misfortune is shown.
Fixed an issue with the transparency of all animated profiles. [:notebook: Flibustier-USSR]
Fixed an issue with the sound of 'The Lesser Evil' card. [:notebook: Booker DeWitt]
F. KNOWN ISSUES
Information about all currently known issues, their status, as well as the suggestions from the community can be found at our public page on Trello: https://trello.com/b/HjOStDAS You can use our forums to report new issues or make suggestions about the game – they will be added to the Trello list.
Have you noticed that quite a few of the fixes and improvements in this post have the names of the players who reported/suggested them? This is because when a certain suggestion is implemented or a significant reported bug is fixed, the players who reported those first, are rewarded with in-game chests. Please keep those reports and suggestions coming!
Finally, as always, we invite you to join the community of Gremlins, Inc. on Discord – where we already have nearly 2.000 players, communicating in English, Russian, Japanese and Chinese – use this link to join.
Earlier in the day, we announced some of the upcoming changes as well as the first of the two new cards that arrive with the Autumn Season next week. And here are the details of the second forthcoming card:
"When an exhibition is organized in The Inferno, it comes as no surprise that some exhibits are prone to disappear or change so much as to become unrecognizable."
Good morning! It was pretty quiet in the last few weeks, as most of us here at the studio went on vacation (and those who didn't, were really busy working on Spire of Sorcery.) But we're back, and today we'd like to share some news:
The Summer Season will end on October 3, 2018 – and the Autumn Season will begin immediately. All rating scores will be reset.
The Autumn Season will bring 2 new cards. Below are the details of one of them, the details of the other we will reveal in the next announcement.
The game will receive other updates and balancing changes, among the most important: we added the possibility to use modded decks in ranked sessions, so the deck on the Singapore server will change, to become more suitable for duels. Thanks to everyone who shared their suggestions on the Discord server.
We will adjust a few of the special abilities for certain characters. We're currently in the process of testing several ideas.
We will adjust some of the priorities in the behaviour of AI bots, which will change the way they play. It remains to be seen, if this will help in ranked sessions where sometimes they currently attack weaker players whom they consider to be a potential threat (though the session will end before that happens).
Finally, thanks to some special events, we expect to see a lot of new players in early October, which hopefully make it more fun for everyone – without crashing our servers (but just to be sure, we're adding a few extra servers this weekend).
And now, let's look into one of those two new cards:
"This secret passage is hidden so well that finding it for a second time poses a real challenge. Which is why the government still hasn't closed it yet."
