Fixes



  • Had to cut the wind feature entirely to prevent serious stability issues.
  • Weapon saves are enabled again.
  • Opening the options menu while having the inventory open no longer brakes the inventory.
  • Removed a weapon perk that was a remnant of the old battle system.

Fixes


  • Constrains to wind movement time in the western desert. The old wind effect system was sometimes causing some serious errors and hopefully this brings better stability to the game.
  • Improvements to the "End Turn" button functions.
  • Fixed some errors related to the deer.

Fixes



  • [When continuing from a Save file] Added a 100 millisecond delay for items spawning in the inventory to avoid any possible visual glitches.
  • Camera reset function disabled during walking to prevent moonwalks.
  • "The End" screen added.

Build 134. Observing the wasteland.


Switching to a beta version of Unity cleared our engine issues and let us upload build 134 to the default branch with the new camera system.

  • A wonderful intro movie.
  • A new, better & much more logical camera movement system!
  • All interactions can be completed with the mouse only! Right click to enter the dungeons.
  • Separated the "Save" function from "Quit & Save".
  • Options menu.

Fixes



  • Fixed a major world duplication glitch when dying in irradiated water after the first underground battle.
  • Re-enabled automatic End Turn.
  • Normal difficulty appeared too unforgiving. Units are now many times weaker in a normal setting.

Build 132. Oppressor of the wastes.


New features



  • Added the final boss to the game. Travel to a far away hill and enter the underground bunker. Gear up with procedural weapons and collect mutant teeth to beat him.
  • Added difficulty settings: easy, normal and hard.
  • Ability to save procedural weapons. Thousands of possible combinations!
  • Ability to save collected items.
  • Save game function is complete.


Fixes



  • Fixed the camera rotation bug when leaving Gun-Zu the weapon trader.
  • Cleaned the sprites of the main character.

Update to build 131.

  • Fixed inventory scaling issues.
  • Added more flora to the wastes.

Build 130. Faster loading times.

  • 35% to 60% faster loading times compared to build 129.
  • Hovering over items in the inventory displays their stat effects.
  • Clicking items in the inventory displays a short description.
  • Added more descriptions to items in different states.
  • Disabled the ability to scroll the battle map when inventory is open.
  • Fixed a rare visual duplication glitch in the inventory.


Name change.

We changed the name to The Wanderer and dropped the band theme. Walk alone in the dark wastes and slay mutants as the wanderer! The old name & theme "just clashes with feelings of dread and isolation the landscape brings with it." Thank you Vinzenz for making suggestions in the Steam Forums!
