Grim Tides is a prequel to Grim Quest, set in the same world more than a thousand years in the past, and explores events that led to the Tearing and the fall of the Old Empire.
While the game follows the same overall formula of its predecessor, there are many new features to look forward to, for example:
- character attributes and perks
- brand new spell & skill trees
- more equipment slots (total of 8)
- ship & crew management and naval combat
- arena combat encounters & bosses
- much more detailed art style for enemies, items etc.
- abundance of lore and a rich storyline
