Patch Notes 1.3.4

Hey! Yarden GRIME director here, and this could potentially be our final GRIME patch. It addresses all the final major issues that have been reported since Parting Shade launched namely:

- Various issues with aiming Pull.
- Being unable to bind alternative buttons for Pull, basic attack and special attack.
- Fixed bug preventing players from pulling certain platforms.
- Objects missing from an optional platforming challenge in Unformed desert.
- Issues with platforming challenge in the Worldpillar.
- Fixed a bug in which a consumable item would not be consumed upon use.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to teleport the player to a ladder if they die on one while having the vasehead trait.
- Added a missing damage volume in Abandoned Opus.

We will keep an eye out and if there are no major issues reported we may simply gather them all over a period of time for another patch, but as long as nothing significant pops up, this may be it from us for a while.

If you wanna chat in the meanwhile you can catch us over at our Discord

Hotfix 1.3.3

Hey just a quick hotfix for:
- Leaper Trait bug
- Flower Foe Trait bug
- Some Pullable platforms sometimes not working

Next hotfix should be in the coming days and will address the issue with pull.

Parting Shade & Switch Port are OUT NOW + Patch Notes

Hey! Yarden GRIME director here, and I'm glad to announce that Parting Shade, our 4th and final Major Update is OUT NOW alongside our long awaited Switch Port.

Parting Shade adds an entirely new endgame area to the top of the Weeping Cavity, just below the Vase rockheads.
This area requires you to posses all traversal abilities because you are about to prove your mastery with them.

Please enjoy our parting gift to you.
Until we meet again... in the ambitious world of GRIME II. :)

Parting Shade Patch Notes:

New Content:

New Area.
New Weapon.
New NPC interactions.
New Achievement.

Quality of Life:

The following changes were made in attempt to give new players that have difficulties with Force management a better chance to embrace the system.

Added a highlight recommending the Frail Arm Trait.
(This is aimed at encouraging new players to give the first Force replenishing Trait a chance, since playing with out any Force replenishing Traits can make the experience overall less enjoyable.)

Swapped The Flower Foe and the Leaper traits.
(This change is aimed at making the Force regeneration Trait accessible far earlier.)

Performance:

Numerous farther optimizations were made to the game, but especially to "Low Fidelity" Mode, accessible via the game settings as that is the mode the Switch version runs on.

Parting Shade & Switch Release Date

Hey! Yarden GRIME director here and as promised, I'm here to announce that the release date for both Parting Shade DLC and the Switch Port issss.....................

January 25th (25/1)

So basically, in less than a month.

The Switch version will launch with all the DLCs and titled as the "Definitive Edition".

Update on Parting Shade FREE DLC & Switch port

Hey! Yarden GRIME director and uh... it's been a while huh.
I'm sorry for the long wait and silence. Both regarding the Parting Shade DLC as well as the Switch port.

The goal was for both to launch by the end of this year. However, this has been another instance of things just not going exactly according to plan.

HOWVER. I'm not here to make excuses but rather make announcements!

So, everything has finally been approved and we'll announce on Jan 4 (4.1) a FINAL release date for both Parting Shade AND the Switch port.
PLUS. You'll discover that release date won't end up being all that far off from the previous estimate. Point is, this won't be another long wait. Pinky promise.

As a small gesture of appreciation for those who are still here despite the long wait, here is a sneak peak at some of the new creatures from GRIME II, thank you for still being here with us!

Hotfix 1.2.45

Hey! Just a few final fixes for ToT in preparation for Parting Shade.

-Fixed an issue with the Prey Gauntlet finishing fights as soon as they begin.
-Jumping after Dash should elevate the player to about the same height now.
-Bosses now give more Mass per NGP level.
-Slightly enlarged the final boss's damaging colliders to better reflect their graphics.
-Fixed Shapely Fidus'es lingering mines.
-Optimized some boss encounters on the Low Fidelity setting.
-Fixed some Rockhead ambushes in Lithic.
-GRIME now costs you 0.20$ to install?

Hotfix 1.2.43

Hey there, just a quick hotfix for the newly introduced bugs from the most recent 1.2.41 patch, namely:

- The area after Pale Sky no longer loading.
- Some areas taking much longer to load.
- Spiral Heart Achievement no longer triggering.
- Random areas of the map being hidden again.
+ (This specific bug has been fixed so that it won't happen again for new players. However, those that it already triggered for unfortunately can only uncover their map again by walking over those areas. We are sorry for the inconvenience.)

We are aware of a small visual artifact with some UI elements and will work on a fix soon.

Patch 1.2.41 + Final DLC Announced

Hey! Yarden GRIME director, and I'm here to talk about our upcoming and final DLC for GRIME before we focus all of our attention to GRIME 2 and the Switch port.

This patch includes fixes to all significant bugs reported in the time since the Tinge of Terror DLC released which will be detailed below.

Other than that, let's talk shortly about the our final GRIME DLC, Parting Shade.

At the top of the Weeping Cavity lies a hidden path leading to a place that has been long abandoned by its elusive artist.
But was this place and the path leading up to it ever truly hidden? When you were always meant to find it.

Parting Shade is our parting gift to you, our players, and if any of you ever wanted to see what a Path of Pain GRIME Edition actually looks like well look no farther. Prepare to make constant and rapid use of every-single-ability at your disposal.

Parting Shade will release this year near or alongside the Switch Port. :)

GRIME 2 Announced

Take the very first look at GRIME 2 in this GAMESCOM Announcement Trailer!
Become Formless, a being of hands and paint. And make the shapes of your foes your own in a world obsessed with art.

Set in a new land in the GRIME universe. GRIME 2 has you venture into a mysterious world obsessed with art. Where blades and fingers grow from the ground and thriving towns can be made of enormous vases and hair-growing-trees.

GRIME 2 Features:

Molds- Absorb defeated enemies, shaping them into molds which can then be used for special attacks.
Use molds to throw enemies, fire projectiles, stun, and even turn into summons.

Environmental Combat - Wherever you go, the environment provides ample opportunities to damage enemies nearby or from a distance. Be wary, for they can do the same to you!

Parry and Grasp - Send hand-tendrils to either parry enemy attacks or grasp and absorb them, drawing you closer to learning their shape.

A Lived-in World - Discover incredible locations made of painted nails and giant vases, each with its own unique civilization, culture, and deep characters to converse with.

And lastly... Updates on our last GRIME DLC, and the Switch port -
So, first of all, we're deeply sorry for the long stretch of silence on the matter of the Switch port. We don't take for granted any of you that have patiently been waiting for so long.

We always believed it is better to hold on and keep chiseling at the port rather than rush it out a technical mess. No matter how long that took.

It has been a lot, and I mean A LOT of work to get the port to where it is now, but we are finally getting ready for launch.

As for the last DLC, we are currently aiming to launch it alongside the Switch port, so expect some more news regarding an exact release date very, very soon.
