Fix the issue where an error occurs when Index users create a role, and adjust the positioning of the arm accordingly. Fix the problem where weapons tend to come loose during the use of Index. Fix the issue where progress in New Game+ gets stuck due to underlying save file reasons.

1. Modify the fog effect in the scene to make its transitions more natural.
AI
1. Slightly increased the attack range of Goblin Heroes. 2. Slightly increased the turning speed of Goblin Heroes. 3. Made it easier for Fieldixia to use spinning attacks when players are close, with a stronger desire to attack.
Gameplay
1. Modify the spell damage provided by the staff's gem to increase. 2. Increase the damage reduction of enemies' plate armor against blunt weapons. 3. Unreal Engine 5 - A Sprint to the Future
We're starting off with the biggest news - Grimlord is now on Unreal Engine 5.
With the move to the latest Unreal Engine 🍬, we're bringing key technological advancements to Grimlord with the aim of significantly enhancing the player experience.
Some of the massive improvements to Grimlord brought by the move to Unreal Engine 5 include, but are not limited to:
A New Physics System - UE5's new Physics system offers more granular control over physics simulations, allowing for more customized and realistic effects. This enhances combat accuracy, world immersion, and realism, especially in VR.
Bigger Development Breathing Room - UE5's potential for development brings us better ways to manifest our vision into reality - making it possible to expand some in-game mechanics. The best example is the Talent System, which has been updated to the latest version, allowing players to level up to 30 and have full access to the complete talent tree.
A Truly Immersive World - UE5 allows for incredibly detailed environments without sacrificing performance. It's particularly beneficial for Grimlord as a VR game, where high-quality visuals are crucial for total immersion. It also offers significant performance improvements, especially for VR, where frame rate and latency are critical.
The move to Unreal Engine 5 is just the tip of the iceberg. Overall, this has allowed us to determine what to include on the renewed roadmap.

Time flies! It's been a year since Grimlord's Early Access went live. We've journeyed together for more than 360 days now, and we are so grateful for all your support every single day! Grimlord v0.4.9 Beta Preview
Dear Lords of the Monastery:
We are so psyched to announce that there is a major update on the way, in which we have improved the enemy combat system. Previously, when you blocked an attack it would interrupt the enemies’ combo.
Once you master the enemies’ starting moves, the entire combat experience becomes boring. Based on community feedback on this aspect, we have improved the combat system. When facing enemies’ continuous attacks, you need to parry at the right moment multiple times to prevent yourself from being damaged.
Please notice that in this update we clearly differenciate parrying and blocking.
Blocking - If you only raise your weapon to block the opponent's attack, you will not be damaged, but this move will drain your poise bar faster and eventually make you drop your weapon. Parrying - If you actively swing your weapon against an opponent's attack, you will barely consume any of your poise. Instead, it will drain the enemies’ poise by a chunk and make them fall to the ground or stunned.
Additionally, we've improved weapon hitboxes in this update, making parrying and blocking more accurate. The glitch that caused some parts of weapons to be unblockable in the past has also been fixed.
We have also slightly adjusted the enemy AI. While blocking combos, they may suddenly change their attack pattern, making the combat more diverse and dynamic, and of course, harder than before.
We will release this update as a preview first, if you want to give it a try, you can pull it up from the game version selection page.

Regarding height calibration issues.
Dear Adventures:
Recently, we have received a lot of feedback regarding issues with height calibration. This bug mainly appeared with using Virtual Desktop and Steam Link to play the game. After testing and troubleshooting, we have located the source and fixed it with is hotfix.
