Not the biggest update we've done, but some key fixes as we move towards final release!

  • Fixed not being able to make a ground attack in the Flight School tutorial
  • Fixed all Front End to work in full screen resolution (still editing deck management screens)

Ground Pounders Early Access Update 9: AKA Why Is The Producer Always Late With The Changelog?

All kidding aside, I was out of the office traveling, so I apologize this didn't go up sooner. We're rocketing towards the end, but now more than ever, anything you want to talk about, about the gameplay, now is the time - before it's too late!

Critical:

  • Fixed errors in combat results table
  • Implemented Engineering tutorial
  • Fixed engineers not able to fix air bases
  • Fixed units not able to attack air bases
  • Unified all engineering damage functionality
  • Fixed engineering unit dice going out of sync when applying a construct action
  • Fixed fortified zones not losing a level of fortification if unit in it is attacked by an engineer
  • Give a notification popup to allow players to automatically distribute or discard their remaining dice during their equip phase
  • Fixed AI not getting defensive support

Ground Pounders Early Access Update 8: Dice and Phases Streamlined!

After last week, when we didn't update in order to focus on a big patch this week, here we are! Big changes to the dice system and stream-lining of the Phases - please give it a try. Keep the feedback coming, as we approach the end of Early Access!

Critical:

  • Number of dice available to assign is given by individual command units (see back of card for values)
  • Dice that are assigned can be used to give support
  • Any dice slots that remain are filled with random dice rolls that will be determined during combat
  • A unit may attack as long as they have an unused dice slot (random or assigned) available
  • Phase merge (new "Resupply Phase" merges "Draw Phase", "Supply Phase", and "Recruit Phase")
  • Allow players to discard cards at any time during their turn
  • Fixed card tutorial CTD
  • Fixed combat CTD
  • Fixed MP not working
  • Fixed opponent defensive support getting lost if player loads a save game


Changes and Additions:

  • Added The Ridge skirmish
  • Added Flight School tutorial
  • Added new anti aircraft results table for reactionary AA fire

Some log notes for the game updates made over the weekend.

Critical Fixes:

  • Players can select which player they are in a skirmish and multiplayer
  • Fixed skipping action playback CTD
  • Fixed air unit docking CTD
  • Bonus dice for Equip Phase are based off of command and divisional command units instead of remaining supply from them

Other:

  • Fixed air units looking like they are on the ground layer
  • Fixed getting XP every time a banked unit destroyes another unit (only supposed to give XP the first time)
  • Fixed supply lines for units underground

New update, with some bug fixin' and feedback implementin', but more importantly are new tutorial additions and the demo finally going live!

  • Fixed Linux CTD

  • Unit transport units are only allowed to transport 1 unit a turn
  • Card particle effects updated
  • Added 4 tutorials (Combat Results, Combat Support, Terrain and Movement, and Supply Chains)

Sorry for the delay in posting this - the update went out as intended, but I was out of town. We're one month into Early Access and the feedback has been awesome and the team has been working hard towards going final in a few short weeks!

Our third update for Ground Pounders and this one had a big focus on stability (as you'll see from all the CTDs we tracked down and killed). Also, a BIG swatch of new cards have been added! Give them a go and as always, please keep the feedback coming!
